'Sleepy Hollow', our family cottage on Lake Chemung, provides the perfect lake getaway. Close to Detroit, Ann Arbor and Lansing.

The neighborhood is very private and quiet.

Beautiful sandy beach. Watch the sun set from the dock or from the master suite perched overlooking the yard and lake. Private Deck located off kitchen is perfect for reading the paper at breakfast.

New interior finishes, new furnishings and appliances, hardwood floors, cozy Swedish pine paneling, completely outfitted for your vacation. Sleeps eight comfortably on one double bed, 2 queen beds and 2 singles. Bring your beach towels, bathing suits and water toys (and snow toys in winter) and relax.

Charming Cottage

We really enjoyed out stay at Sleepy Hollow. The house was warm and inviting and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the large lawn and fire pit and were amazed how clear the water was. Very quiet area. Highly recommend.

The house was great and clean. It had everything you needed. The only two compliments was the grill was in really bad shape but we managed and the neighbors dog came over into the yard and attack our dog.

Great location,fishing off the dock our youngest granddaughter caught a 3 pound big mouth bass also tons of bluegill. This is the third time we stayed here and intend to do so again next year.

Perfect family vacation

We loved our stay at this property! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The lot is huge and was perfect for yard games. The lake was shallow and sandy off shore for swimming and we caught fish right off the dock. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot on the water!

The house was well stocked in the kitchen and other supplies. The kids loved using the kayaks and caught a few small fish. House was clean, fireplace was cozy, and loved all the windows for views of the water!

Wonderful lakeside property.

Very much enjoyable experience at a comfortable lakeside house. The owner was very accommodating. The water supply is quite brackish but is suitable for bathing. We would definitely book again.

Great House

The house is much larger than the pictures show. 3 large bedrooms upstairs and a 4th downstairs with large dining room, kitchen and living room. The view is spectacular as it is right on the lake. Worked perfectly for our group. Owners are extremely responsive to everything. Would stay again if we needed to be in the area.

Family Holiday Trip

We booked this house as a last minute stay for the holiday. We had 3 adult siblings and our dad home for the holidays. This home was perfect for us! The bedrooms were spacious and everyone had their own designated place to stay since we used the sunroom as a bedroom. Everything in the kitchen was up to date which was really nice! Neighbors were super friendly and said hi to our dog as well. We loved staying here and hope to come back in the summer!

Family fun

The house was beautiful as was the lake. We loved the view from the huge windows. Our children liked the spinning chair. Having kayaks was wonderful. It was mostly quiet and peaceful, but we did like seeing the pontoons go by. The shallow water was good for the kids. The whirlpool tub was a nice unexpected surprise.

The pictures on the website really do not do justice to this lovely cottage. It is clean, attractive and comfortable. We didn’t,t have great weather, but the area offers so many other diversions. Perfect Getaway

What drew us to this house were the views shown in their pictures - and they did not disappoint!! The house is beautiful and cozy inside. The best feature is the wall of windows in the master bedroom. We could sit and look at the lake all day! It was just 2 of us but we could have brought 6 more people and still have plenty of room. It's quiet and relaxing and we had a great weekend! 2 kayaks are provided (weather was too cold for us to use) and there is a great dock to sit/fish off of. The house is close to restaurants, grocery stores, and recreation parks. Downtown Howell is quaint and nice to walk around. Check out M Street Baking Company! We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great visit!
