Our stay was fine, and we had everything we needed, but the accommodations felt run-down. Just not very nice. The living room furniture isn’t comfortable, so not relaxing. The rooms have individual floor unit air conditioners with big wide, long tubes going out the windows. One of units leaked a lot of water on the floor. Broken camping chairs left on the deck. Strange makeshift TV stand in main floor bedroom with chair legs and pieces of wood attached to the table legs to raise the stand to a higher height. The same bedroom had a mess of children’s items stacked haphazardly at one end. The house smelled musty when we arrived but was fine after we opened the sliding doors to air the house out. We were disappointed the hot tub was broken, but the host emailed me ahead of time to let me know and give me the option to cancel. There is a nice big back yard. We would not stay there again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
This property and its amenities were not as advertised. The place was filthy, especially the floors, baseboards, walls, and bathrooms. There were handprints at various doors, a dirty foot print and spillage on the kitchen floor, dirty dishes and kitchen counter top. Under the beds had not been cleaned for months and there we found empty water bottles. We spent a substantial time cleaning immediately upon arrival after a long drive. This was not the relaxing arrival that we expected. There was no game room, no tennis court, as advertised. The gym was actually one of the bedrooms. The outdoor umbrella and lounging deck was in tatters. The grass in the back lawn was about 15 cm, high enough to contain ticks. The river that was advertised was not accessible due to abundance of toxic cow parsnip. In the kitchen there were only 2 tablespoons, 3 teaspoons, and 4 decent sized coffee mugs. One of the sliding closet doors in the dining room repeatedly fell off its track. The living room furniture was so cheap-looking and uncomfortable that there was no indoor space to relax. There was a shortage of towels in general and no beach towels at all. The driveway is long and narrow with no place to turn around and makes it difficult with multiple cars. Lighting was horrible, especially in the living room which had no table lamp (no end tables) by which to read. Electrical outlets were inadequate. In summary, the experience was unenjoyable and will not recommend this property for anyone.
