Well equipped house in great location

We stayed here for 5 nights over Christmas with family and our dog. We were impressed by how well set up the house is, with everything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

The property was very clean with good quality furniture and fixtures ,firm but comfortable beds.For us it was an ideal location. Away from the crowded, Cowes at this time of the year.

Awesome place to stay

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this place. Rhyll is amazing and this place is aptly located to everything you want to explore in Philip Island. The beach is a 5 min walk down the road. The place is clean and well equipped with all amenities. Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

Hidden gem

Fantastic little 3 bed house with everything you need for a short or long stay. Awesome outdoor area with BBQ in ideal spot for bringing family on a holiday. Playground and tennis court across the road with the boat ramp a short walk away. We’ll be back with friends and family for a longer stay!

Doug is an amazing host. The property was clean and tidy and in excellent condition. We had plenty of room to spread out in. We will stay again on our next visit to the island. The location suited us perfectly I can highly recommend this property.

Wonderful stay with extra personal touch.

We had a wonderful stay in this nicely laid out house. Very clean and tidy, new facilities. Lots of extra utilities in the kitchen, sandwich press and soda machine. Could sit outside on the front porch or to the side of the house. We stayed at Christmas time so there were outside lights and decorations inside.

Home away from home

We stayed with our 4 children and I must say we were quite impressed as to how well equipped this home was. There was everything you could ever need from cooking to cleaning. Location was fantastic, Doug was very quick to respond and attend any questions we had. Thankyou again for a wonderful stay and for the home made complimentary honey ! We will be back

lovely!

The house doesn't look impressive from the outside but inside was nice and clean, with everything we needed along with little special touches that weren't advertised or necessary but really made for a great visit (e.g., board games, free local honey, fresh lemons, a few toys and books we could use, etc). When we left behind some chargers for our devices Doug got in touch and offered to mail them! Location was excellent - the nearby tennis courts and general store were so convenient, and the neighbourhood was quiet. Would definitely come again!

Follow the house rules

Not a bad place to stay but do not forget to follow the house rules 100 % because if you do not you will be charged..I will make that clear should you bring a dog over 25 kgs you will be charge so it is not pet friendly as the pet is not allowed inside.In general disappointing stay as even the neighbours cannot mind their own business

Anne-Marie. We expected your review would deflect responsibility for the poor condition you left the property in. We are a pet friendly host. Clear rules, one dog [under 25kg], no restrictions on keeping it outside and a $5/night token fee paid at the time of booking. You booked for 3 People and no dogs. However, you bought 2 adult Golden Retrievers and a small puppy. The neighbour rang me on the third day to ask about the dog situation as three dogs was unusual. Of course I was surprised, rang Stayz to ask advice who contacted you and imposed the $5 a night fee on 3 dogs. . After your departure, we found the yard in a terrible state. Holes dug in the lawn, gardens flattened, plants ripped out by the roots, garden lighting system chewed and ruined, dog faeces and urine stains on the concrete of the patio/eating area around the back door. You have then rated our property poorly without valid reasons We will continue to welcome responsible dog owners who contact us to request variations to our rules which we usually approve

Amazing property. Clean. Homey feel. Nice little touches

We loved this property The home was clean and tidy. Well equipped. Little touches of convenience like tissues in most rooms, basic cooking supplies, dog bags and bowls, games for the backyard and toys for children. It felt really well thought out in terms of leaving toys and books for children to play with I also really loved the home made honey that was compliments of the host from the bees you can see from the backyard. We also brought our family dog with us and he had a great time. It was very hot and there was limited shade outside but it didn’t really affect us as we were out with him on adventures everyday. The location was perfect. Super close and convenient to everything. But also away from the business of Cowes. We enjoyed walking to the inlet and exploring the area. The host Doug was extremely helpful and responsive when I had a question. Very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend this home to anyone!
