Hector's food caravan (a literal hop, skip, and a jump away) is open to serve you the best local fish and chips on Friday and Saturday nights so you can simply put your feet up! North canterbury is abound with splendid wineries should you wish to venture a little further. Otherwise, Leithfield Beach boasts its own tennis courts, paddling pool for the kids, and playground. It is also a popular 4WD spot. Or simply meander along the beach with its many driftwood and pebble treasures. Amberley is just a five-minute drive and hosts some good eateries. You'll find all the necessary essentials here. But once you arrive at the cotttage, you probably won't want to leave! It's magic just staying put.
