Weekend Getaway

My husband and I and our dog wanted a little getaway. The cottage was exactly as described and perfect for the 3 of us. It was fully equipped with everything you need - all you have to bring are your clothes and groceries! It's in a quiet area, but close to everything you could want. The host - Carla - was very nice and answered any questions we had. 5 minute drive to downtown Huntsville. Close to Arrowhead Provincial Park - which we planned to go to, but unfortunately the extremely hot temperatures kept us in the air conditioned cottage. We will definitely be back so we can explore all that Huntsville has to offer.

Cute and convenient

Great little house a short drive from Arrowhead Provincial Park and all that Huntsville has to offer. Communication with host Carla was very smooth. Well-appointed kitchen, comfy queen beds, great shower, Muskoka chairs in the yard. Big flatscreen across from massive TV in living room. We brought our small dog and she liked it, too! Definitely not for more than 4 people - the bedrooms are snug and don’t have a lot of extra room. Perfect for us - one to sleep in, another to lay out clothes and gear. Would definitely return!

Spotless clean and the host was pleasant and responsive. The bedrooms are up a fairly steep staircase that is a bit wonky at the top and the AC didn’t reach the bedrooms upstairs so we slept on a fairly comfy sofa on the main floor. The bathroom is on the main floor (bedrooms upstairs) so if you have to get up in the night to use the facilities have your wits about you and tread down those stairs carefully. Limited supplies but the host was willing to bring more over. Otherwise well stocked with kitchen utensils. We did stay 4 nights so for a couple of nights all would have been fine!
