Fine place to stay, nice setting, safe neighborhood and convenient to the Hutt. Exactly what you'd expect for a fair price

Ok for a brief stopover, but the apartment is not very accessible as there are a lot of narrow, uneven and poorly lit steps, so anyone with mobility issues would really struggle to get in and out. It is also a very small apartment so not ideal for groups even with the 3 bedrooms

thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for staying with us! We’re glad you appreciated our convenient location.
As a cosy and functional wooden retreat, our space is designed to offer maximum value and comfort. For a 5 guest stay, our fee $ tax inclusive night rate works out to just around $66 per person per night for your one night stay (with even greater value for multi-night bookings where total cleaning/service fees are spread out).
Beyond the 4beds in 3 bedrooms, separate toilet, and bathroom, we strive to provide everything a group needs for a home-away-from-home experience, including a handy kitchenette, as well as a full in-unit Aeg washing machine and Aeg dryer.
Typical of Wellington’s hillside charm, the access includes outdoor stone steps that guide you through lush greenery and local birdlife. We are constantly enhancing our space, and right after your check-out, we installed a new handrail along the steps to make the walk through the bush even safer and more comfortable.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the space. We always encourage future guests to check our detailed photos and layout description to ensure our cosy setup perfectly matches their spatial preferences.
Thanks again for coming, and safe travels!
Lovely warm cosy accommodation in a very tranquil bush area. Was lovely to wake to birds outside the window. The accommodation was clean and tidy and suited our needs of a warm cosy place to stay.

First off - the host is Lian, not Elena. There was no email from her to say how to get in. She messaged saying she would meet us there, but did not. We got to the bach and it was open, so we went in hoping we had the right place. We did not see her until the next day.Beware anybody with mobility issues as there are very steep steps down to the accommodation with no hand rails. Not very safe. The door does not lock. The host thinks this is OK but we do not know her so it was very hard to trust that nobody would come into the bach.Very comfy beds and good small kitchen. It could have done with more glasses, some tongs and a dishrack. The glasses in the cupboard were not clean so we had to wash them. The TV did not work. There was no smoke alarm - it had been taken down. The fridge was not plugged in, so was not cold to put our cold items in.There were no games as listed.Apart from the above, it was a nice place to stay with lovely native bush all around.
Home away from home. Elene was easy to contact and very accomodating to our employees who she welcomed and extended their stay at short notice. Jighly recommend for a hassle free home away from home for all group types from family/personal to business/work trips.
Host was very welcoming Amenities were as describedEverything was clean and tidy Only negative was the outside steps down to the accommodation were a bit narrow in 1 part and we had 2 big suitcases But otherwise they were not a problem Overall everything was great Highly recommend at 4.5 stars

The host was very friendlyThe place felt safeLovely bushUnfortunately, no sea views due to overgrown treesThe place was adequate for a short term stay due to the size of the rooms in the kitchenette.Room for one car on the side of the road.Easy access to the suburbs and the cityEasy to findGrateful for the Wi-FiAnd having the scales there for weighing suitcases was amazing
My friend and I found this accommodation to be very simple, effective, and clean. And the owner is very prompt in responding to any questions. She is also very friendly. However, the entry to the accommodations is accessed by climbing down two very narrow sets of brick stairs, which have no handrails, and is completely open on one side, which seems to be a possible hazard for falling. In addition, there was no way of locking up the sliding glass door entry,, the only entry.
I am taking the time to write a review which I dont normally do.
Lets get to the good, the bad and the ugly.
The good
-Place is very clean and tidy and location good.
-Beds comfortable and everything works well.
-Internet works well
The bad
-The owner stays upstairs and you can hear her walking around and peeking through curtains throughout the stay.
-You can't lock the door and the owner has said no key. This is a first in my 30 years of travel.
-The narrow stairs where you walk to from the roadside has no lighting are very slippery and narrow. I had a fall but luckily wasnt injured.
The Ugly
I sat on the toilet seat and it broke during the stay.I weigh 90kg.A cheap platic one. I told the owner who was upstairs at the time within 30 mins.
5 days have passed after check out and now a number of charges are coming through.
-Extra guest charge
-Fee for make up on cushion
-Toilet seat charge
Has not been a pleasant stay.
