About this property

Charming villa with pool and clear view of the nature

Dar Céleste is a pretty villa of 230m2, with a contemporary look, which we rent exclusively.
Dar Céleste is located on a fenced plot of 1500m², on the edge of the scrubland it offers an incredible panorama of the Moroccan countryside.
Dar Céleste is located 8km south of Essaouira (2km from Baoussala our guesthouse) or 6km of road and 2km of a new made road, In the Berber village of Ghazoua, or halfway to Essaouira and the wild beaches of Sidi Kaouki.

The villa is composed of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (one with bath and shower), a capacity of 10 people, a central space with living room, dining room and equipped kitchen, a swimming pool of 12m x 3.5m (heated but not secured), a covered terrace that you can happily enjoy at any time of the day, from breakfast to sunset! The garden is equipped with a wooden swings and also a pretty wooden hut for children with a small toy stove, children love!

The facilities offered by Dar Céleste are:

- possibility of car rental directly at the villa (29 € / day for a Dacia-Logan)

The rental rate includes the daily cleaning of the villa, Khadouj is at Dar Céleste every morning, she takes care of the daily cleaning of the villa as well as the preparation of your breakfasts (excluding food).
For 25 € / day she can stay the whole day (until 5 p.m. / 6 p.m.) to prepare your meals, if you only want lunch, the price is 15 € / day, you do the shopping and she cooks according to your taste!


We would like to point out that Minouche and Tigrou, two little cats live in Dar Céleste, they do not generally fit in the rooms but we would like to inform you of their presence which makes children happy!

The first stores (butcher, poultry, grocer, greengrocer) are 1.5KM from Dar Céleste. You will also find 2 supermarkets in Essaouira. We recommend a rental car, it will be useful for shopping as well as for exploring our beautiful region. We can have a car delivered to the villa upon your arrival, it takes 300dh (29 €) / day for a Logan-Dacia, basic car but sufficient for our stony track!

Yaya, the guardian of the villa lives on site in a small house at the entrance of the property, he knows how to be discreet but he can also give you help as soon as you arrive!
He is responsible for the swimming pool, the garden and the general maintenance of the house.

Addiction totale !

Séjour idyllique à Dar Céleste, incarnation de notre rêve de maison de vacances ! On s'y sent tellement chez soi - et l'accueil de Léah, Dominique, Khadija & Yahyah y sont évidemment pour beaucoup - que l'addiction est totale. Maison adorablement meublée et décorée, ultra fonctionnelle, jardin très joliment agencé, personnel discret et adorable; rien à dire, ou plutôt..., on n'en dira pas plus pour tenter de garder secrète cette envoûtante adresse !

Une très belle maison !

Points forts : décorée avec goût, spacieuse, propre. Un jardin sympa, aucun vis à vis, tranquille (mis à part les aboiements des chiens la nuit). Une cuisinière et un gardien très agréables et professionnels. A l'écart d'Essaouira et donc assez protégé du vent. Points faibles : piscine non chauffée (les enfants n'ont pas eu le courage d'y aller). Pas de lave vaisselle. 2chambres n'ont pas d'accès direct avec la maison et l'espace de vie (mais pour certains ce peut être un avantage ...) Nous avons passé de très belles vacances et nous recommandons cette adresse.

Séjour de rêve en famille à Essaouira

Cette maison est parfaite pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis. Décorée avec soin, entre design et artisanat local, on se sent très vite comme chez soi. Elle est parfaitement situé : très proche du centre ville, à quelques minutes du golf, et à proximité du km 8 pour les petites courses. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les petits-déjeuners au bord de la piscine et les couchées de soleil à l'heure de l'apéritif... Nous reviendrons, c'est certain ! et recommandons chaudement cette adresse.

EXECPTIONENNEL......tout simplement

décoration raffinée, tout est pensé pour les adultes ET pour les enfants... piscine exquise et sans aucun risque....Oumlaid cuisine des merveilles : tagines, couscous ou simples salades elle est à votre écoute! les propriétaires sont d'excellents conseils, équitation, kite surf, planche à voile, dromadaires évidemment!!!!! souk , marché au poisson.... maison idéale pour 3 couples car chaque chambre a une terrasse privative...petit déjeuner en tête à tête assuré pour chacun. cheminée dans chaque chambre pour les soirées d'hiver..... très cosy! je recommande vivement!

Une maison de rêve

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique dans cette villa pour 8 personnes. La maison, située à 10 minutes en voiture d'Essaouira, à proximité d'un village typique, est très belle, agréable à vivre, et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. A 8, on ne se marche pas sur les pieds, car il y a de l'espace, de nombreux recoins, plusieurs terrasses, un joli jardin, une piscine. On a chacun sa chambre et sa salle de bain. La cuisinière prépare des petits plats typiques délicieux, un vrai bonheur. Elle s'occupe également du ménage, donc c'est vraiment les vacances ! Sur la terrasse, la vue est magnifique, dégagée. C'est réellement dépaysant ! Johanne connaît parfaitement le coin et donne de très bons conseils sur les activités pour petits et grands. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire, il faut absolument qu'on revienne !

Un super séjour à Dat Céleste!

Nous avons passé un super séjour à Dar Céleste! La maison est très bien adaptée pour les enfants petits car la piscine a un grand pateaugoire et tout le matériel de puériculture est disponible sur place. De plus, Essaouira et ses alentours proposent pleins d'activités pour les adultes et les enfants. Nous vous recommandons en complément la cuisinière qui nous a préparé les repas les midis pour les enfants et le soir pour les adultes ce qui a contribué sans aucun doute plus que positivement à notre séjour. Nous reviendrons!!

Superbe villa récente où l'on s'y sent bien

Nous y avons effectué un court séjour en juin 2013. La villa correspond en tous points aux détails et photos de l'annonce. On y accède aisément en empruntant environ 1Km de piste. La maison est assez proche du centre ville (moins de 15min en voiture) comme du golf (moins de 10min en voiture). On est au calme avec une belle vue dégagées sur les terres arides et ventées d'Essaouira. Louer une voiture est donc indispensable pour pouvoir se déplacer aux alentours. Sinon, il faut opter pour le taxi mais qu'il faudra le commander à l'avance car la maison n'est pas sur une route passante. L'équipement intérieur comme le mobilier extérieur sont à l'avenant avec tout le confort nécessaire. La maison est extrêmement agréable à vivre: lumineuse, joliment décorée avec goût, spacieuse. On s'y sent vraiment très très bien. L'ensemble est neuf et bien entretenu. A noter que les petit-déjeuner sont proposés et préparés sur place pour le personnel de maison. Au final, location que je recommande chaudement pour passer quelques jours à Essaouira en famille ou entre amis.

A beautiful home ... in a beautiful area

The house is located in a quiet area, 15/20 mn from Essaouira medina and the best beaches of the area. Essaouira and their surroudings has been a very very good surprise for us, family of 4 (5 & 7 years old kids). We've been several times in Morocco and were estonished by the beauty of the landscape between Essaouira and Agadir. Johanne gave us all the good tricks and locations to fully enjoy the medina, the beaches, the restaurants, the surf shops, ... and the house ... Full of light, a large "living room" with an open kitchen, a fireplace, sofas and cushions beautifully decorated bedrooms & bathrooms and the terrasse with the swimming-pool!!! your personal heaven! not to mention the great tagines of the cook we loved it. the kids just want to go back to "la maison de Johanne". and we'll go back for sure!

Séjour exceptionnel

Superbe villa, tout confort, décorée avec gout et fonctionnelle. En plus elle est située a seulement 10 min de la Medina / de la mer en voiture. idéal pour un séjour en famille (nous étions 3 couples avec enfants), d'autant qu'une cuisinière hors pair nous a cuisiné d'excellents plats locaux. Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve ! Excellent rapport qualité / prix

We have known the Essaouira region for over 12 years because of Baoussala http://www.baoussala.com/; a guesthouse ran by Dominique, the mother. We chose to buy a piece of land and build a vacation home in the same village. Dominic will be happy to share the experiences about these regions she loves with you!
Essaouira is great both during summer and winter; this is a charming port city.

What makes this property unique

Walls enclose this villa; it offers views and wonderful sunsets during cocktail hours!
The pool (not heated), is oriented to the south/south west and is fully sheltered from the wind, there is also a pool for children (12m x 3.50m with a maximum depth of 1.40m).
The building is made in stone, as it is typical for country houses in the region of Essaouira.
The living room is cosy during any season thanks to a large fireplace.
The kitchen has all the amenities you would expect for a successful stay.
All four bedrooms have a fireplace in front of the bed.
The staff is present during the morning and the afternoon.
It is possible to have meals made upon request, but you can enjoy relaxing in privacy.
