Nice, charming property very close to Cabot trail. The only downside was that the cell service was very spotty in the area and it was difficult for me to find the door code (we had to drive a few minutes away to get service)

The host was beyond helpful and welcoming. The place is charming and very spacious. It is very central to the highlights of the western side of Cape Breton. Totally enjoyed it.

The place was mid-renovation but was clean. The host told us there was a delay in the install of new heat pumps and made sure to bring space heaters for each bedroom. The rooms were plenty warm without really needing the space heaters but I’m sure it will be great once they have the heat pump installed!

Beautiful Charming House

Very clean and charming old farmhouse. Very quiet and relaxing location. Lots of beautiful places to visit in the surrounding area. Would highly recommend!

A Lovely Place to Stay in Margaree Valley

We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. As soon as we came in we felt right at home. The decor is charming and it had all the amenities we needed. Bedrooms were perfect and the beds very comfortable. We all slept very well. And it was nice to have two full bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean and the land around us was so beautiful. Great place to stay as it is centrally located. I highly recommend this lovely home when in Cape Breton!

Spacious and Well Equipped

The outdoor property was ideal for lawn games, sunsets, and dog runs. The house was thoughtfully stocked with most everything we would routinely use at home. Good quality linens, towels and cook/dinner ware in abundance.

Farm house

Get access code prior to arrival as there is no cell phone signal. It is a beautiful turn of the century home . Would loved to have a bit of history about the home. Would be nice to have had a small fire pit. Overall very spacious and comfortable stay

Fantastic location in the country. Close to river for kayaking. Within 30 km of all amenities. The local road surfaces range from terrible to excellent. You cannot walk to any amenities, you must drive. Bicycling is risky! The house itself is very old and renovations are underway. There is no sink in the kitchen - the sink is in another room. There are great laundry appliances. The fireplace wouldn't work for us. Good tv. Poor internet connectivity. The beds are very hard. Ample bedding and towels. Everything was clean and tidy. Host was very attentive and easy to get in touch with.
