Our beautiful guest house offers something for the whole family, whether it be fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, walking or bicycling the nova scotia trails, or 4-wheeling (amazing trails just 2 minutes away). Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Just bring your clothes, food and enjoy!

This property features freshwater lake frontage on the prestige Porter’s Lake, with a private dock, private outdoor seating area with fire pit, BBQ, full kitchen, Keurig coffee machine, Smart TV ready to use, A/C (heat pump), Wi-Fi, high speed internet, Bedroom 1 has a Luxurious king bed and bedroom 2 has a queen bed.

Beautiful, comfortable and clean property with beautiful water views. Kitchen had a great selection of items for cooking during our stay. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Towels were provided for showers and swimming off the wharf. Property was very quiet. Fire pit with comfy chairs was a great way to spend our evenings. Thanks to the hosts and especially Barney for having us. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely space to come and relax!Being able to move at our own pace and just go for a kayak or find a nearby hike was great. Definitely a good spot if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, but its still close enough if you want to go out for dinner or the day.Comfy beds! Easy to nap with the sounds of the lake right there.

We had a nice stay at Crystal’s place! The lake was warm and the water trampoline was fun. We also really enjoyed the fire pit, and having easy access to plenty of wood made evenings outside enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, and the cottage was clean and welcoming. The location was great too—close to several beautiful beaches. The Wi-Fi was also a nice bonus. One small thing to note would be the dishes and utensil drawer could use a deeper clean. There weren’t extra linens initially, but Crystal was quick to provide them when we requested them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect little hideaway

Lovely little cottage (smaller than it seems from the photos) on a beautiful quiet lake. The weather didn't cooperate for our stay, so we weren't able to take advantage of the 'toys' that were available to us, but sitting by a campfire listening to the lapping water was just perfect! We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Property

This property was very clean and had everything we needed as a couple. When I booked I told the host it was a 20th Anniversary trip. On our arrival we were greeted with a bottle of bubbly and other treats for our anniversary. That was very kind. All in all this is a great property. I would have no hesitation in booking again.

This little lake house was perfect for my husband and I and our teenage daughter. It was tiny but had all the comforts of home and was immaculately clean. There is no cell reception but access to wifi allowed us to do a bit of work when required. It is at a quiet part of the lake and with access to our own dock, we took advantage of relaxing by the water and fishing from the dock. We appreciated access to a kayak to explore as well as a bbq. There is a grocery store close by and is only half an hour to Dartmouth. We stayed for 5 nights and would stay here again.

Beautiful house on the lake with lots of water fun!

We had the best stay ever! Two great beds and clean and comfortable house/kitchen/bathroom! The house is situated directly on the lake with a beautiful shaded garden! A fire pit with firewood provided, for marshmallows and cozy evenings in the Adirondack chairs. Kids had a lot of fun on the water trampoline, and we loved the standup paddle boards, kayaks, and if you know how to fish you can do that as well! :) the water was great to swim in and hardly any bugs! The hosts were friendly and helpful! Great place to be and enjoy while also easy to explore hotspots like Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg and Halifax. We had great food at la cuisine de Brigitte by the way :) Go here!

Very calm and relaxing environment directly at the lake. Best thing was to sit on the dock with a cup of coffee in the morning listening to the birds. We used the boats and SUPs frequently. The water was warm and nicely and the water trampoline for the kids got full approval.It's big enough for a family of four and you have everything you need inside.We went to Halifax several times, so it's not to far away from something else to do. We think the location is perfect and we miss the place already.
