We traveled all the way from Arizona to do the Creeper Trail. This cabin did not disappoint!! Very secluded but a beautiful view of the lake. We are planning to stay again in May with our whole family!
Completely satisfactory stay. Could not have asked for more.

Hi Rheanne, we’re happy to hear that you thought the property was beautiful. The owner wanted to pass on to you that a recommended route has been added to the listing to help future guests navigate more easily and not need a 4-wheel drive.
The best part for us was the quiet, privacy, and view that allowed us to relax. The cute cabin was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of linens and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked. The two porches had an amazing view. The walk down to the lake on the well-constructed stairs and landings to the dock was a hidden gem. We even caught some fish and would like to return again.
Drive to property made you feel off the beaten path. The property was as advertised. Comfy beds. Nice kitchen. Really enjoyed the decks especially viewing comet and Orion meteor showers. Lots of wildlife;
turkey, deer, owls, ducks and bald eagle.
Could do with some updates and cleaning. lots of dead leaves on the stairs to and on the deck by the lake. Upper deck had a hole in it. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay, the lake was beautiful, the water was sooooo warm. House is clean and has all the things you need. Abingdon is a 25 mins drive away. Property manager was super helpful and friendly.

Disappointing Correspondence with Property Manager
We inquired about a public beach for swimming with the Property Manager, Linda; however, we did not receive a response. Then, on Sunday, we notified her that the dishwasher was not draining. Unfortunately, the correspondence was unprofessional and the dishwasher was never repaired during our stay.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback.We’re sorry to hear that parts of your stay did not meet expectations. We’d like to offer some context regarding the dishwasher issue: once it was reported, we immediately began working on a solution. Linda offered to clean it the same evening, but the offer was declined due to the late hour. A service appointment was scheduled for the earliest available time, but due to the remote location, that wasn’t until Friday. While Linda did intend to return the next day, an unexpected family emergency caused a delay. At that point, we were informed not to send anyone, and the guest requested a refund.We genuinely regret the miscommunication and are especially sorry to hear that the interaction felt unprofessional. That was never our intent, and we strive to treat every guest with care and respect.As for the beach inquiry, we did not receive a message regarding that during the stay, but we apologize if there was a communication breakdown.The dishwasher has since been serviced and is now functioning properly. Again, we appreciate the feedback and will continue to improve based on guest experiences."
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and very beautiful location. Having 4WD vehicle is recommended. The only issue we encountered was the fact we were international travellers. Their main booking site didn't seem to be able to cater for international (non US) phone numbers, and despite emailing a few times it wasn't changed. This meant we didn't have access to the 'portal' on which most information was contained as the multi factor login authentication failed because it couldn't text us the code. Essential information was provided by email, but it would have been nice to have been able to login. We also tried to call the contact just prior to arrival a few times, but our calls went unanswered (again possibly because we were calling from an international number).
