Very nice place to stay and unwind. Great friendly host , but gives you your privacy. The animals to feed were great . We would do it again. Thanks Grant & Tracey!
Whether you want to go on an adventure in the area or simply relax after a long trip, this is the perfect place. The room was comfortable, the spa very enjoyable after a day of hiking, and the animals friendly (as long as corn is part of the deal). We had a very nice stay and we will for sure be back for the next occasion. Many thanks Grant and Tracey for your hospitality and precious recommendations for our road trip. Take care!
We felt very welcome and cared for. The hosts are knowledgeable about their animals and surroundings and are happy to share their knowledge and engage but are also very aware of knowing when to give you private and space. We thought they had the balance of this just right. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and the amazing spa pool.. the hosts had thought of everything and we didn't want for anything...nice little treats provided including breakfast The bed was really comfortable, the place was spotless and we will definitely return if they will have us

Thanks so much far choosing to stay with us. Nice to meet you and you're absolutely welcome back anytime. Safe travels, Grant & Tracey.
I don’t think I could have found a nicer place to stay. I was looking for an ‘ away from city’ stay and this ticked all the boxes. Owners are warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. They live upstairs but interact only if and when you want them to. Nothing is too much trouble. I fed the deer, sheep chickens and quails so if you are an animal person, this is utopia. The unit itself has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. They have thought of everything. Bed was really comfortable with quality bedding and lots of pillow choices. I plan on coming back in spring I loved it that much.

Extraordinary place! It is located in the middle of nowhere, a 15 min drive from Stratford. We chose the place because of the presentation at Vbro and the remote location. Our expectations were not even satisfied but exceeded! The holiday flat is located in the ground floor. Grant, the host, lives upstairs. You will find a very comfortable living area and a really great kitchen. It is called a B&B, so you will find a selection of cereals, milk, juice and some cookies in sufficient amounts for your stay. Of course there is a selection of tea and to top it a Nespresso machine w/ a milk frother! There are a lot of farm animals there; sheep, deer, hens. Grant offer some food, so if you like you can feed all the animals yourself. I imagine that this will be quite exiting for kids!Grant is a very emphatic host, supported us giving hints and answering our questions even before we arrived. We appreciated that very much. The best thing was he enabled us to see Kiwis in the wild! We would never managed it w/o his guidance ant his powerful red light :)P.S. The whirlpool is a great relaxation after a exhausting hike at the breathtaking Mt. Taranaki!
