Excellent glamping experience. Not quite a cottage but more than a yurt. Quiet and relaxing. The host was very friendly and the accommodations were very clean.

Hello Coco, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry you were cold. I am wondering if you were using the electric blanket and battery pack properly? Our beds are normally very toasty. Deanna

This property is stunning. It is the perfect place to escape day to day pressures and allow your system to exist in is natural state of relaxation. The property is very clean and well maintained, the host is friendly, inviting and knowledgeable and the amenities like the hot tub overlooking the river and available boats to enjoy exploring can’t be outdone! As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and secure! Highly recommend escaping to this oasis!

Best girls getaway

The beautiful setting, amazing views, and wonderful hospitality made it really feel like we were in a far away paradise (not 40 minutes from ottawa). Deanne was marvelous and beyond accomodating. Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories. And cant wait to see you again

First time booking

Pictures perfectly captured the space. Booked two nights but only ended up staying one as the weather wasn’t great. The host was very nice and everything included in the space exceeded our expectations. Only thing that would make this rental better would be electricity access but overall amazing experience and we can’t wait to book again next summer

Nature Oasis

The Palapa place was a cute and quaint oasis away from the hum of the city. Unfortunately, it was a rainy stay, and the ground around was a bit muddy, but the cabin was dry and warm. Deanna's attention to detail is commended and she was very attentive to our needs. There is some highway noise, but not too distracting. River access is about 400 meters, less than 10 minute walk from the cabin. Our favourite feature was the outdoor shower and the provided fluffy bathrobes. We had a decent stay. Thank you, Deanna.

This was the perfect, peaceful getaway! The site is exactly as shown and described. The hosts were incredibly responsive and provided the most welcoming, informative walk-through when we arrived. Sitting in the hot-tub and watching the sun-set was the best way to reset before returning to the city.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!
