This was the perfect place to escape the noise and bustle of the city and to relax between gigs at the Woodford Folk Festival. The peace and tranquility, the well-equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds and spacious lounge made it a home away from home. The wonderful variety of native birdlife and the varied trails around the property were a bonus.
Couldn't have been happier, but glad we knew before we went how far off the beaten track it is. David and Wendy were SOOOO helpful and personable and the cottage, where we stayed was lovely, all handcrafted in wood and set up beautifully. Do note that there is NO food on the premises and a trek into town will take about an hour round trip, so come prepared to step out of civilization and really relax. TV worked better than our one at home, the log fire was beautiful and sittng on the deck with the birds was soul restoring. The other three cabins are lighter and more airy, but we took a peek and they're very nice as well. Cottage is nestled in the trees more.Oh, there is no phone signal unless you have Telstra and you have to give yourself a hot spot to do internet, another reason it's so 'healing' to get away from the daily stuff.
Dave, Wendy and Dodge made the experience extra enjoyable. The views, wildlife and peacefulness was something to be remembered. We felt completely relaxed and loved the beautiful coffee, tea, crystal glasses, bird seed and many more creature comforts were provided.
Stunning countryside right outside the door of this very comfortable and cosy cabin. Beautiful king parrots and lorikeets visit the bird feeders. And there's rainforest walks and waterfalls to see. Had a fantastic time here.
Accommodation is cabin style. They are fairly basic, but reasonably spacious, and very comfortable. TV reception is surprisingly very good. New, and very clean. Excellent rain-forest bush-walking on premises. Cabins are on the farm-stay bordering rain-forest. Hosts are very friendly. Privacy and seclusion - peace and quiet. Miles from everything, so you need to either take all your own provisions, or drive approximately 30mins to Woodford or Maleny for food and entertainment.
