Fantastic location, with very friendly staff. Bar and restaurant was superb for beers and food. again staff were absolutely lovely. Chamber maids were friendly and caring. Staff at breakfast could be more welcoming with a, good morning or hello. Maybe this is not the done thing. I wasn't sure. Will definitely stay at this hotel again. Had a wonderful room, that was just perfect.

Across the road from Centralstation, which is great for the Arlanda Express (airport train). Close to shops, bars, restaurants. A short walk away (across the bridge) to Gamla Stan (Old Town).

Pleasant staff.. Hotel has seen better days. Looks large from the outside due to good signage but the hotel itself I'd fairly small with a basic reception. Great location for business as its just across from the station and Arlanda Express from Airport.

Expensive, noisy and old-fashioned.

This hotel would not survive if it relied on repeat visits, tourists are the main stay of this place. I was woken at 5am when the first train started running as the rumbling started and continued every 2 minutes until I checked out at 9am. I paid £178 for a single night's stay which I would say does not provide very good value. The room was perfectly adequate, but a very 1980's decor. - Not good for business (too noisy!). - Not a spa hotel (too out-dated!). - Not a value hotel (too pricey!). Stay at the Radisson Blu across the road, much better value and doesn't suffer from persistent train rumbling.

Older hotel in a good location

This is an older hotel opposite the Stockholm train station in a good location for assessing all that Stockholm has to offer. We were in a twin bedded room on the 5th floor. Both the bedroom and bathroom were a decent size. The furnishings are old (1970’s/1980’s?) but adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was poorly lit which made shaving a little difficult. The breakfast was good with a selection of bread, meat, cheese, cereal, juice, etc but a limited hot food selection. There are 2 lifts. One is rated for 5 people and the other for 3. I think the rating must be for slim swedes without luggage. The hotel is good value for money.

Excellent location but tired looking room

Overall happy with the stay. Although the bed linen, towels and the state of the bathroom was very good I had to complain about the general cleanliness. The mainly wooden furniture in the room and an old sad looking rug were very dusty as was the stand for the tv and behind it. Also, the main staircase was not cleaned during my five night stay. As I don’t use lifts I used the stairs a number of times everyday and the same bits of rubbish were evident the whole of the time..... The location of the hotel is excellent and very convenient especially for the underground, Centralen and the City Terminal.

basic, reasonable hotel opposite central station

I was in Stockholm for two nights attending a conference. I chose this hotel because it was quite cheap for Stockholm and had a reasonable expedia rating.Excellent position opposite central station I had a single room. It was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower room and WC OK. Good wifi connection. My one criticism is that it felt rather stuffy. But given that we were in Stockholm in mid November the only way to keep the room warm enough may have been to keep the radiator on full blast all night. Much better than being cold. Nice breakfast with fruit, bread, cheese and yogurt.

Average hotel near the main shopping district

The breakfast was bland. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable to the point I suffered shoulder pain for 2 days. I excepted more for the money I paid for my stay.

Excellent Central Location

We stayed here 3 nights on a city break. Enjoyed our stay very much in this lovely old hotel in central Stockholm right opposite the station. Comfortable beds, decent towels, good shower. Excellent breakfasts - very helpful staff.

Worth considering
