LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!

The apartment is right on the main square of the old town, so location is excellent. It is an old building so I anticipated internal stairs and older style furniture. The apartment was clean and we had everything we required. Petra was very informative and helpful. We were only here for the last night of a 2 week holiday in Croatia and it was lovely to stay in the heart of the Old Town and enjoy our evening without worrying about a lot of steps at the end of the night!

Very central

Petra arranged transfer from airport 35 euros & she met us just by apartment which is right behind Main Street. Fab location & central to everything. We stayed in the loft which was quite spacious with sofa bed & 2 singles pushed together. Table & fours chairs & basic kitchen. Only thing I'd say is if got small children the stairs could b dangerous as come up in middle of attic & I was bit worried someone would fall down them but we didn't! Petra was available anytime via Whats App/email for anything needed. Would recommend here.

Great location.

The apartment was right in the heart of Dubrovnik's old city and the owner was friendly. However, we had to check in within a certain time which provided less flexibility. We did not realise we could only pay for the rooms in Euros or Kunas cash, as it would have been easier and cheaper for us to have paid in British pounds. The room was clean but a little dark. We wanted a double bed but instead got two twin beds and mattresses put next to each other, so during the night the mattresses would easily slide apart and leave us lying on the bed frame. On the morning of check out, the city had to do emergency works on the water supply, so we had no water and had to leave the apartment a bit worse for ware, which I realise cannot be avoided but may have been less likely to have happened if we stayed further out of the old city?

Apartment was beautiful and couldn't be more central. Petra, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful even when we told her we would arrive late. Definitely pay her a visit.

You could not ask for a better location.

Fantastic apartment right in the centre of the old town. You are a minute away from the clock tower. Clean apartment and perfect for a long weekend. Lovely and helpful host. Good value too.

Apartment with great location

This apartment was in a great location within a minute of the main street in Dubrovnik. This, however, made it a bit noisy both at night and during the night with the street cleaning. This is a very old building and there is also a bit of noise transference from the apartment above. There was air con so the windows could be kept closed to quieten things down! It was clean and well equipped and everything worked fine. We were on the second floor and found getting the suitcases up and down the stairs a bit of a challenge as there was no reception there and no help. We also had to liase with the owner to be in to make our payment in cash as they didn't take credit cards.Overall it was a really pleasing apartment and in a great location.

Good central location

Right in the heart of the old walled town this apartment has a great location. Everything you want to see or do all on the doorstep. Slight downside is that it can be a bit noisy at night. Helpful owner arranges car to meet you at the airport and provides local advice.

Very centrally located. Very old and authentic apartment in keeping with the ancient city. Guy who met us was very helpful and friendly. Beds under the sloping ceiling weren't ideally located but this did not spoil the stay.

Lovely Location

Lovely apartment in a great location and excellant value for money. The jazz band that sounded great when you were in the square may be a bit annoying if you are not a night bird. Recommend for a short break in the heart of a fantastic city.

Fantastic Location

These are excellent apartments, well maintained and impeccably clean right in the midst of Dubrovnik old town. The hosts are incredibly helpful and will arrange transfer from the airport and excursions. We went to Montenegro for the day which was beautiful. The only slight down side was that they can be quite noisy as they are literally in the very centre of what's happening but this is a very small place to pay for such an excellent experience and accommodation.

This was a great stay for our family of 4. If you want the Hilton then stay in the Hilton but this is a really cool spot for those looking for a unique experience. You are right in the main square in the old city in an ancient building. A once in a lifetime experience in this great city (twice in a lifetime as this is our second stay here). Highly recommended if you are coming at this with the right mindset and if you don’t need to be pampered by the staff. You will meet Vjeko at check in but unless you need something you are on your own. Perfect for us and Vjeko was a great host. The only thing to watch out for is that you have to pay in cash as currently they do not take cards. Thank you Vjeko! Hope to return soon.

This is a small apartment in the center of Old Town Dubrovnik close to everything. Being in the center it's a little noisy at night until late hours. Other then that close to everything.

Complete rip off!! Stay. Away. How dare this place charge 5 star hotel price for a 1 star quality and service??? Was put on the top floor with svrl steep flights and met with: 1) Very thin walls. Every step/convo nearby is heard, noise from the streets Past midnight 2) Not even bar of soap offered for a shower. Hostess said she put some kind of body soap into what was actually a bottle of hand soap 3) Towels like sandpaper 4)A bed sheet for a “cover” 5)Shower drain barely drained water 6) BAD internet connection on BOTH signals available 7) Only 2 Eng. speaking TV channels 8) They only take cash no CC. So shady! 9) Toilet running water all night 10) Bldg is dark with steep steps, GL finding the light switch which stays on for a minute or 2 then shuts off 11)Hostess Petra is rude and untruthful (where are these “good” reviews coming from?? Her friends?? I challenge their veracity!) All above failures would be ok IF this place charged MAX $75 a night MAX. This place is worth not a penny more or you’re getting swindled. Only reason I booked was b/c the apt. accom. called SUNce, a 2 min walk from here was sold out for the nt. SUNce was fantastic!!! From a beautiful QUIET apartment, beautiful bathroom, a safe, fast internet, cable, to the awesome hostess. At SUNce you pay a fraction more but get ALL the value for your $$$. I have no affiliation whatsoever with SUNce FYI, just had an awesome experience there for essentially same $ and want to warn you. Avoid Martechini.
