Location excellent. Few niggles in the room. The radiator wasn't working properly so had to have a heater in the room and the toilet blocked several times, apparently this was in several rooms. Room was quiet noisy, but expected when a stones throw from Times Square. Staff were really accommodating.

I really liked this place - I felt safe and comfortable and was so happy to be able to make tea in my room. They keep the rooms very warm (maybe too warm). The decor is reminiscent of the 1970s - I liked that they had leant into this, giving it a unique vibe. It was very quiet, despite being so close to Times Square. Really convenient for the theatres - you feel right in the centre of the action. I would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here mid september. The location is excellent. 50 metres from 49th st metro station and a 5 minute walk to Times Square. Upon arrival we were met at the steps by a bus boy who carried our luggage to the check-in desk. We were quickly booked in and given a studio apartment on the 12th floor. The studio was well equipped with a large fridge /freezer, oven with 4 ring hob, microwave, coffee machine,kettle and sufficient cuttlery and crockery for two people. My only disappointment was that the cereal bowls were too small. Coffee and toiletries were replaced daily. The main room had a table and two chairs, a three drawer chest, TV, bedside cabinets, air con, an iron and board. The bathroom had sufficient towels and toiletries, which were replaced daily. We experienced no problems with the water. There are 2 elevators which hold around four people with luggage. They can get busy at certain times of day. There are guest services on the 2nd floor. Which include - computer/printer, ice machine, drinks and snacks machines. We found the wifi to be very efficient. The front desk staff were very helpful, and check-in and check-out was quick and easy. There are laundry facilities in the basement which are free of charge to guests after 9pm (However, you may have to queue). We met several guests who said this was their regular hotel when staying in New York and if we come again would not hesitate in returning. I hope you find this review helpful

The good very much outweighs the bad with this property. If we came to New York again we'd likely stay here again, but with a few caveats. Plus points are: - The location. You are within easy walking distance of all midtown attractions. Subway stops are close for further away activitities. - The 1 1 we stayed in was well equipped, very spacious and clean. The fittings are best described as worn in and sturdy. If you want ultra modern this is not the place for you, but it works and it's comfortable. - We found the staff really helpful and friendly. The negative side mainly revolve around the windows: - There is no real sound insulation. As we went out walking all day, and had a room high up, this wasn't a major issue but if you need quiet to sleep in then you can do better. - Aircon. The units mount in the windows (and there are small gaps, hence the noise issue). The units themselves are very noisy. Luckily, beyond trying them out, we didn't really need them as it was Autumn/Fall. In summary, I wouldn't stay in the appartments in hot weather where you have to rely on the aircon, as it'll be very noisy and probably not that cool. In cold weather, I'd ask if the windows are sealed up prior to booking as we could feel drafts thanks to the gaps around the aircon units, again, not an issue due to the outside temperature. At all other times, I'd stay here again like a shot. Overall, for New York, it's decent value and the adjoining pizza place is good too.

This is a gem of an apartment, fully functional kitchenette with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all crockery, cutlery and utensils, and pans. We had a Queen Studio, and there was a small table with two chairs. There is also an iron and ironing board in the room. They provide dishcloth and kitchen roll. Shampoo and soap is provided. Also coffee and sugar/creamer packs. Hot water takes a few minutes to come through the taps but thats ok. Rooms are serviced daily. Umbrellas are at main front door should you require to use them, and there are free daily papers available on the table opposite the elevators on the ground floor. Reception staff were very pleasant. These apartments are very close to the subway, and a few minutes walk to Times Square. I would highly recommend these Apartments, Im looking forward to returning next year. We had a great time.

Great hotel

Lovely hotel and location. Had a 2 bedroom apartment, lovely to have a living room area and kitchen. Rooms slightly dated but plenty of space for 4 adults. Rooms had everything you would require. Slight issue before we had left the uk as I had changed my credit card and they couldn’t take payment for the first night so had threatened to cancel. Call to the hotel sorted it out but signal inside airport was awful so just had to hope booking was secure before our arrival.

The apartments are ideally placed in midtown Manhattan and are a good combination of hotel and private apartment. Decor is slightly dated, but they are clean and tidy.

The location is great, but the building is very old and tired. It's ok if location is the most important thing, but don't expect the same as Hilton or Courtyard etc. Staff helpful and friendly too
