Great little hidden gem. Very tranquil and picturesque. The local wildlife and hosts were both very friendly. The host was informative as to what activities and places were in the area. The shuttle bus from the pub was very convenient and friendly. Will be back

Awesome mums retreat, just what we wanted, a nice quiet spot to relax.
Couch was very uncomfortable, think it’s had better days.
Nice and rustic for what we needed.

The accommodation wasn't what we thought we had booked. Not overly thrilled with the cleanliness of the chalet either.
Location for what l required was convenient. A little tip if driving is not to use the name as google maps wont take you where it is. Use Stonville Road as a starting point and drive along until you find it. A little bit harder to find at night due to maps taking us elsewhere as mentioned. My room was connected to the main building and l found it clean and comfortable with bed and tv/lounge. A seperate cupboard contains a fridge, extra pillows, blankets etc. The room connects via an internal door to a common area that has a fridge, toaster, microwave kettle and tea/coffee facilities, as well as a tv and sitting area. Not many food places close by so take a few supplies or you will have to drive. They do offer a free shuttle to/from a local pub as well. Room indicates a bathtub which is does not have and owner is aware and has tried to have corrected but l did not book room because of this as bathroom pics only showed a shower. Location is in bush setting so noise is minimal except for the birds etc but to be expected because of location but still no issues with that. Overall a great stay. Owner is friendly and helpfull.
What an amazing hideaway. I got fresh eggs for breakfast from chooks on property. It was the most relaxing weekend I've ever had..
Thoroughly recommend it.

Different to what I expected
It was not what I was expecting and in some ways little disappointing. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and did give us the most important thing a comfortable nights sleep and decent showers. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. However, we were in what is known as the Lodge. Great room size, very comfortable furniture. Very cold night, and the room is tiled. I could not get the reverse cycle air conditioner to work to heat up the room. To be fair to the proprietor we came back late at night and left early in the mornings so did not get to speak to him about it. The light switch to the room was not located near the entrance, but across the other side of the room. Making it hard to locate for lighting, so we had to feel our way across the room. Fridge was located in a separate cupboard, not turned on. Not sure why they even bothered with a fridge, as there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room itself. If we wanted a cup of tea we had to exit our room and access the "lodge". Which lacked warmth and was not terribly welcoming. It had a microwave, fridge, lovely sofas, big screen TV, long table with outdoor furniture chair. There was tea and coffee etc, however the proprietor did little to encourage us to use the room or to partake of the tea and coffee. Seemed to us that the "lodge" was set up to be a Bed and Breakfast, but that the enthusiasm and breakfast had gone. Access to room and parking awful definitely needs upgrading.
Did not know this when l booked it was eco friendly therefore no PowerPoints ( no hairdryer and no offer of alternative)noise from fridge very loud toilet fan stays on for 15 mins every time you go in low shower water pressure broken shower head. Room smelled nice
I wanted to remind my partner of his home town back in rural Victoria so I chose this for the location out of town. It was so lovely and quiet and peaceful. We had an excellent time relaxing in the bush. The kangaroo family of mum dad & joey was lovely to watch feeding in the early morning.
