We have stayed in many apartments over the years this was the best, definitely 5 star.Spotlessly clean, well equipped, good beds, great location and stunning views.The hosts were superb and have thought of everything, they clearly want you to have a good time. We shall return!

Fabulous property, perfect location

Much like the puffin, who can remain perfectly content in a little crevice on a cliff, no matter the weather or tides, this little cottage offers more than solace and peace, regardless the weather outside. From booking, to the day of check out, we only had joy. The only hard part was checking out, only because all good things have to come to an end, sadly...This place offers everything you will need for a week or weekend break away. The area lends itself to activities that would suit all ages and ranges from walking distance to a quick drive.There are also a good selection of restaurants and pubs nearby, but once again it's fully kitted for self service for a family.We can't wait to book our next visit!

We stayed for a week over Christmas and our journey to Ireland was impacted by the weather but communication with Bree & Maura was excellent and they were very accommodating. The house is a perfect location for exploring East Cork. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable and cozy and the log burner was great to have. Thank you Bree & Maura also for the wine and lovely fresh bread from Ballymaloe cookery school!

Cannot fault it. The owner was very friendly and supplied everything you need to start your holiday. Beautiful house, lovely location. Highly recommend this property. We give it 10 out of 10.

Great location with super views of the estuary and marina at Crosshaven from all rooms and the garden. The house is light and spacious with easily enough room for 3 adults and 2 children. Fittings are contemporary and it's very well equipped, including a pasta maker! Behind the house is a wooded headland with numerous woodland paths to views over the whole estuary. Management of the house it top notch, one call to the host and everything from new gas bottles for the barbeque to egg cups arrived within a couple of hours. Bottom line we would liked to have stayed another week!

I stayed at the Mill with my father and son. We were celebrating his birthday and what an idyllic location to do it in! Simon, the owner, was very helpful in his communication before and during our stay. The Mill is exquisite-light, spacious and beautifully appointed. Simon kindly left us some delicious treats but we also picked up some essentials on the way in, as we knew from previous reviews that the Mill is a bit off the beaten track-but that was just what we wanted. The layout was perfect for us, with a double bedroom and shower on the ground floor, which suited my father. My son and I had a double bedroom each on the top floor, both of which had lots of space and storage and lovely views of the countryside surrounding us. The bathrooms were pure luxury with large shower enclosures and modern stylish fittings. There were plenty of towels and the bed linen was of a good quality. The kitchen was full of high end appliances , some a bit complex to understand but that is more to do with me! We were lucky enough to have sunshine so were able to use the outdoor furniture to sit on the decking and listen to the stream that runs around the Mill. The highlight for me was the private cove, a short walk away down a path, where I enjoyed a swim in the sea. The Mill is a an architectural dream-like something on Grand Designs. The location it is in is breathtakingly peaceful. We loved our stay and left feeling restored. Thank you for sharing your lockdown project with us Simon

The cottage exceeded our expectations in all respects and we would love to visit again. The location is perfect and there's lots to see and do in the area. We were all very sorry to leave.
