Bellingham cottages

We stayed in this beautiful lodge for two weeks while visiting family who live nearby. The location is very central and just off the I-5. The land that it is situated on is amazing. You are surrounded by flowers, trees and wildlife. We stayed here as a family of six from the UK. My husband, father-in-law and our three children ages 10, 6 and 2. Two of our children have specialist needs. The highlight of this cottage for us was definitely the tennis/basket ball court, garden and fire pit. The children thrive from the outdoors and here they could enjoy it all but we were reassured by the safety and comfort that the grounds provided. The facilities here were fantastic. The washer and dryer were a godsend. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and clean. Theres a beautiful rustic theme throughout. The fire place warmed up the whole cottage on chilly evenings and the furniture was comfy and cosy. Theres an abundance of blankets, spare bedding, clean towels and everything you need to to enjoy a wonderful holiday. The bathroom is huge with a heated floor and high powered shower. The kitchen has a huge fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, huge oven and microwave. There is decking surrounding the whole cottage, with additional dinning areas outside. The owner was kind enough to grant us permission to have family over and enjoy meals together. We used the BBQ a lot! The cottage also has it's own private jetty on Lake Samish just 1 minutes walk away. This was another highlight, especially due to being able to use the owners double kayak. We all had great fun paddling the lake. The lake is calm and quiet with plenty of interesting wildlife. Neighbours are friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Overall this place is an absolute gem. We simply didn't want to leave. We would 100% stay again and would recommend it to anyone, especially those with children. High quality, high standard, fantastic location and brilliant value for money.
