An absolutely charming location and fantastic hosts. Lodge du Mayne is perfect for people looking for a peaceful getaway in a stunning location. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and kind but without being intrusive in any way. The accommodation is lovely, with all utensils, appliances etc provided. The pool was a fantastic addition and set in beautiful surrounds. Take advantage of the central location to visit the numerous villages and castles in the area and make sure you have at least one meal at the restaurant in Gavaudun (L’Essentiel). Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful escape from it all.

We spent a fabulous week in Biron - the gite is well equipped and has very comfy beds. The outside space, grounds and swimming pool are wonderful. It was utterly relaxing, lounging by the poolside, watching butterflies and other insects on the beautiful lavender bushes. Our host Lisa was super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Fantastic adult get away. Peace and quiet in delightful surroundings. Pool was as fabulous as the pictures looked and very well maintained. Property pictures didn’t really do it justice. Fantastic adaptation to an old building. light, airy and cool. Stunningly situated in the French countryside with loads of places to visit. Highly recommended. Excellent communication with owners and manager.

Dickon and Simon are incredible hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Their hospitality is second to none. They will help, should you need it, with wonderful places of interest to visit or restaurant suggestions. Equally, if you just prefer to chill by the pool, you are left in peace. The property itself is sublime and you will want for nothing. You can submerge yourself in local life with a short walk to The Palissy bar & restaurant where Faustow and his wife will make you most welcome. Totally enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.
