Par cottages

We stayed for a week as a family in Par Cornwall. The age ranges were adults, teenagers and one child.The house was in a great location, in the village of Par, not far from the local pub and shop. Some beaches and things in St Austell were only a 15/20 min drive.The house itself was great and we had a great stay. A few comments though, which may help.....- We didn't really use the living room. As the weather was nice we tended to sit in the conservatory with the door open as a family- The driveway is tight, and a bit nervy if you have a large car. Be mindful. Also at the end there is a wall so some oncoming traffic may be hidden - especially if reversing out- The TV didn't really work as there seemed to be an issue with the ariel cable connection. No real issue to us though, as we didn't really use that room anyway- The cooker takes some getting used to, but once you do, its great

Loved our stay

Just returned from a week’s holiday with my husband. It’s the perfect location over looking the harbour & so close to restaurants & pubs. The house has the best of both worlds, with a sympathetic renovation, with all mod cons & spotlessly clean & Jonathan is the perfect host. The only thing I would say is there are a lot of dogs with visiting holiday makers & some aren’t so responsible with picking up after them, but that didn’t spoil my stay at the house & we will be returning. Just mind where you step in these pretty little streets.

Amazing retreat if you want a place to rest and find nature at its best . The birds in the garden are a treat to watch and brings peace to the place . Also a great place to be close to so many wonderful places to visit. Right on the doorstep of the Eden Project and many more places to visit like Looe which is our favourite.

The caravan and its location is perfect for all age groups. I went as a family of 5 with a small Daschund. Kid ages between 4-10 yrs. we all had a very comfortable stay, great location with plenty on site for the children and right on top of the beach which we all (especially the dog) loved. We received a nice suprise welcome and came into scones, cream and jam ready for us to tuck into. Lovely pubs and shops all within a 5 min walk. Very friendly staff and other guests. Great local attractions too. We ventured to the Eden project only a 5 min drive away and the owl sanctuary. On rainy days we stayed in, played all of the board games kept at the caravan and watched Netflix.

The cottage is very pretty with fantastic views, well equipped with very comfortable beds and very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely cottage is a very pretty location.

This is a lovely cottage with good size rooms and a comfortable bed. The kitchen has plenty of cutlery, pots and pans, crockery and glasses. It also has plenty of cupboard space for food, We had control of the heating thermostat so were always warm enough. Matthew was a great host. My husband and I are both disabled and Matthew offered to help with the luggage. He also helped get my wheelchair into the house to be charged as we couldn't managed due to the gravel path and back out the next morning. We had a problem with the power going off on the first evening and Matthew was round within a couple of minutes of my texting him. He arranged for an electrician to come and kept me informed when they were going into the cottage and what the outcome was. The electrician said that the dishwasher was faulty and Matthew went out the next morning to buy another one. I've never had a problem sorted as quickly in a holiday home as this one was. We just couldn't fault it. My husband thinks I should have given 10 stars out of five. I wish I could. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage.
