Gwynn cottages

The cottage is in an idyllic location next to the bay with its own dock which is great for watching the wildlife and amazing sunsets. The cottage has all the facilities you require and Patti went out her way to make sure we were settled and everything was as expected. The pool was a refreshing haven in the 30C(85F) heat along with the air con in the cottage. There are lots to see and explore in the area with restaurants close by in Mathews and Gloucester. Slightly further away you get to the main colonial areas of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Busch Gardens is at Willamsburg if you need an alternative to the historical sights. Even further there is VA Beach which is a few miles long with a great sandy beach, though the traffic can be busy through the tunnel. In summary you have the option of staying at the cottage kayaking, crabbing, relaxing by the pool, soaking up the views or using it as a base to explore the area. We tried both and loved the cottage and the area.
