Villa Livia is beautiful, with exceptional gardens and facilities. Our host and her staff were attentive and responsive at all times which made for a great family vacation, suitable for all ages.

This is a lovely traditional country house surrounded by its own grounds but with other properties nearby. It is beautifully quiet (apart from cicadas) and very relaxing. The children loved the pool, which is set in its own gated area; the only downside being there is no shade near it except very early morning and late afternoon. We all immediately felt at home. Riccardo is charming and his English excellent; he was regularly in touch to make sure we had everything we needed, organised the home chef for us one day, recommended restaurants and was very quick to respond to any questions. On arrival there were eggs, butter cheese and jam, a white and red wine, bread and olive oil. The kitchen has everything you could need and plenty of plates and cutlery and there's individual aircon in each bedroom. The village is 5 minutes by car and there are two small supermarkets, an excellent pizzeria, bread shop and icecream parlour. We had a wonderful family holiday and my husband has already mentioned that he'd like to go back at a less hot time of year.

Our hosts welcome was as abundant as the contents and facilities in their lovely house , there was quite simply nothing more we could have wanted . Everything in the house works and the the description is completely accurate. The hosts are both generous and charming and clearly take a lot of pride in their property and what they offer . You do inherit a rather cheeky cat which was soon won over with a few tasty leftovers. The pool area is perfect and immediately next to the house and the only sound to be heard is the next bottle of excellent Italian beer being opened. This is the perfect location to day trip all the superb classical sites in western Sicily. There are a number of supermarkets near but you are off the tourist trail and there is very little English spoken but the locals are only to happy to enter into a bit of mime and gestures to get the message across. We had a lovely stay at Caterina’s stunning house. Lovely outdoor seating areas meant we spent most of our time outside. Very well equipped inside. Brilliant to have kids dvds for some chill out time. A highlight to our stay was having a birthday meal cooked by Guissepina and later in the stay she came and did a cookery class. Thank you Caterina for being a great host. Easy to communicate with whenever required.

My wife and I stayed in this property for a week in May 2019. The location was rural, quiet and had spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. The property is surrounded by vineyards on three sides and an orchard and vegetable garden on the other, which we were allowed to help ourselves; never forget the fresh orange juice made from picking our own oranges. Andrea was the perfect host and brought us wine, olive oil, vegetables and fruit during our stay. If you want a break away from it all, yet only 30 minutes from the beach, this is the place to be, the children can play in the pool while you enjoy a glass of local wine on the veranda.
