We were 9 family members in the two villas - Artemis and Akriti so we shared the excellent facilities in both villas. Well equipped kitchens and plenty of sun loungers. The host Filipos was very helpful and came round every day. We didn't arrive until after 9pm on a Sunday so we were pleased to see some essential starting provisions in the fridges. Villa Daphne had everything we needed, it was immaculately clean, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Our host Eleni was welcoming and very kind. There were lots of additional things that made for an extremely comfortable stay; from plenty of dishwasher tablets, clean tea towels and table cloths, pool/beach towels, a 1st aid kit (fortunately not used), to shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. There was also a selection of food provided, Raki to drink and the kitchen had a wide range of appliances. The little pool, sun beds and views of the sea were also a bonus!

The large dining area beside the BBQ was very hot, partially due to the air conditioning units being there. So we had to move tables and chairs around on the upper balconies to get a shady enough area for ten of us to sit and eat.

Beautiful property with stunning views. The villa was so well equipt with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, this was our first time in the South of the island so the recommendations kindly provided by Nicole were very much appreciated.

A wonderful location with views across the wild southern Crete landscape, with easy access to our favourite beach on Crete with small tavernas that can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. We had authentic Cretan cuisine overlooking wonderful sunsets. Sublime road tours along the coast heading east or west. Giannis is a wonderful host and has created a lovely small cluster of spotlessly clean modern apartments and a shared pool to cool off. This is a place for those who appreciate nature and wonderful landscapes without the crowds.

From the moment we booked Pearl Villas to our very last day, the owners (Mr. Michalis and co) went above and beyond. We are a family of 6 (3 couples and a baby), having three bathrooms and 3 rooms really was important to us. This villa offered just that. We stayed in Villa |||, you have a great view of the beach from here. The villa has everything you need: bbq, toaster, coffee machine, hair dryers in each room, beach towels, high chair, safe, dressing gowns, cot etc. The fridge had milk, eggs, wine and more on arrival. We were also gifted more wine, olive oil and beeswax from the lovely owners - such a nice touch. One day we were given some breakfast too. The villas was immaculate, beautifully decorated with light airy rooms. Every morning the outside areas are cleaned and half way through the stay we had the villa kindly cleaned. The owners of the villas are so friendly - they really did go over and above. They do not stop working! Plakias is also a brilliant holiday destination, beach/supermarket/restaurants not even a 5 minute walk from the villas. You are spoilt for choice once you reach the harbour. A few restaurants to mention would be Apenemo, Antoni’s Place and Paligremnos (this one is the opposite end to the harbour). All of which are family run with fresh dishes. If you are considering booking a holiday in Plakias, look no further. Pearl Villas in the place to stay. We could not find any fault!!

After four and a half months of lockdown we needed a break. We were all very impressed with the property which beat expectations in terms of size, location and views. We all thought it was much bigger than it appears in the marketing the views from both inside and outside impressed. There are some lovely local beaches that are all very family and swimming friendly with tavernas on the beach. Sellia itself is a few minutes walk away and has three quite different but all pretty good restaurants and Plakias has a bigger selection if you can drive 10 mins down the hill. As all the reviews say it is pretty windy at times, but you actually need the wind in August in the heat, so it was welcome. Very enjoyable fortnight overall
