Welcome to The Dickerson Cottage. This home is located on beautiful Jekyll Island, Ga. The home features three bedrooms, two full baths and sleeps 6. The home is surrounded by large old oaks and has a fenced in back yard for those of you that would like to bring a small pet. This home comes with access to a community pool and is just a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Jekyll Island. There is so much to do on Jekyll Island. Tours of the historic district, sunset cruises, bicycle riding, golf, tennis, shell hunting, sight seeing, putt putt, dining out or just sitting on the beach enjoying the views of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Location is excellent. Family room furniture was uncomfortable with some soil. Queen bed was uncomfortable. Kitchen cooking utensils need review and supplementing. Would be helpful if electric garage door opener operated. Balance of house was excellent. Would stay again if available.

Good afternoon, thank you for your review. The week before your stay the guests dogs destroyed the two chairs in the living area. The new chairs will be here tomorrow hopefully. It would have been helpful if you would have let us know while you were here so that we could address these issues for you. Not sure which garage door opener you are referring to. Garage door openers are not available for guests at any of our properties.

Perfect spot for our family and pup. Loved the location and the fenced in back yard was awesome. We rented a golf cart for the week so it made things much easier for getting around and traveling around the Island. I would recommend bring a few extra pillows but other than that we had the best vacation. We will definitely be back next year!

Excellent Pet friendly cottage

We've stayed here several times with our two dogs and brought our 11-month old baby this year, and we have loved every time. This home is at a great location with a great fenced in yard with all the amenities you'd want for any length of stay on the island at any time of year.

We liked the layout of the house. The fenced yard was a plus for our little dog. The neighborhood was quiet with a lot of deer roaming around. We will definitely try to stay here when we visit Jekyll Island again.

Great property and perfect for a group. It was very clean. Just make sure you bring anything and everything you need it’s a clean slate without any coffee filters, soaps, only 1 dishwasher pod and no spices. It wasn’t a problem but would have been good to know beforehand.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful and peaceful cottage! It was very convenient to ride our bikes to all local establishments as well as the beach! Yard is always full of deer for your viewing pleasure!

Perfect location!

Two minute drive to the beach and you could bike right from the driveway to connect with bike path. House has doggie doors to help enclose dog. Huge yard which our dog loved. Very comfortable beds too! Definitely recommend and we plan to come again.

Great family home

The Dickerson Cottage is lovely and located on a quiet side street. It had plenty of room for our family of three and a huge fenced backyard. We had to cut our stay short due to a family emergency but we hope to return another time and plan to stay here again.

This property was perfect for a week at the beach for our family of 6 plus 2 friends and our dog. Clean and easy to find, a great garage “staging area” for beach chairs, etc. Great, easy access to the bike paths. Fantastic quiet, neighborhood shaded with many live oaks. So glad it was available!

Perfect Jekyll Home

This was the most perfect Jekyll home for our week away. Close to the beach- just a short walk to the crossovers and on the most beautiful, quiet street. The backyard is amazing- fully fenced and backs up to the woods. Our dogs had the best time playing together in the yard and chasing the squirrels and lizards around. We never worried- the fence was secure and at a great height. The inside of the house was clean, well laid out, and comfortable. Being able to use the garage was a bonus so we could store our bikes we rented for the week. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and we would highly recommend this home to visitors to the island. It was absolutely wonderful and we appreciate you sharing your home with us and our dogs. THANK YOU!
