June 2025 Stay

Had a great stay a the Honu Kai with family. Accommodation were great and it was easy to navigate the island. Enjoyed the pool, beach, the market and a few restaurants and bars. Overall was a very nice experience!

July 4th family vacation

Checked into our beautiful cottage. It was full of amenities & very clean. Enjoyed the pool area, the clubhouse area, and the beach. Fireworks were beautiful. Have been staying here the past several years and will continue to reserve and stay.

Awesome family fourth

Beautiful property very clean with many amenities I did not expect. One of the best vacation spots I’ve ever found and will certainly rent for next year immediately.

Our visit to Jekyll Island was unforgettable, considering it was our first time there. The house we stayed in was perfect for my family and me, meeting all our requirements. We had an amazing time during our stay.

Great vacation

The house was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is a beautiful home and close to beach access and a pool in a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend it!

Excellent vacation property

This property exceeded all expectations. The house was stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals and have a “home” feel. It was clean. There was plenty of space for the kids and the adults to relax. Nice pool area. Driftwood beach was very close. Will definitely rent this house again.

Great House

They was a hot water issue at a separate property we initially booked. Fortunately we were able to get switched to over to Endless Summer. The house and our stay was wonderful. Honestly I feel like this house is even nicer than the pictures make it look. It had everything we needed with convenient access to the beach. The only minor thing that would be nice is to have beach chairs for guests but other than that all was great.

October 2020 Stay

We had a wonderful stay. The property was very well maintained and fully equipped with everything we would need during our visit including beach chairs, towels, etc. The firepit was great too. The only constructive feedback I would provide is that the firepit was not working properly. Although it turns on, it would not stay on. We had to lean a brick on the knob that turns it on so the gas would continue to flow.

Reviewer Comments: The villa floor plan was spacious, beautifully furnished, and well equipped with kitchen, laundry, bedroom furnishings, and outdoor seating.The community was quaint and lovely- nice pool! Unfortunately there was no hot water the first night; thus no shower after a full day of biking and beach...was able to remedy ourselves over the phone the next day by flipping switch for tankless water heater. Cleaning was not up to par, toothpaste in master bath sink and appeared to be tampon remains on bunk room bathroom floor near toilet; aside from those two things clean.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cottage was ina great location and well appointed. However we had constant issues with the kitchen, ice maker getting clogged, stove overheating and warning bells ringing, the microwave, toaster and coffee maker caused the breaker to trip. We were in the cottage or 8 weeks. There was some attempt to fix these issues, but only the ice maker issue was resolved. MWith our length of stay cooking was always an unwanted adventure. Would recommend only if these issues were fixed.

There were some small hiccups with the check in -- the staff at Jekyll Realty was less than welcoming. Had it not been for one of the staff, we would have rated the check-in process a flat -0-. We do acknowledge we were 30 minutes late -- after a harrowing, rainy, stormy ride from west of Atlanta. I think it needs to be understood that some things cannot be helped. One roll of toilet paper for a 3.5 bathroom house is questionable. We did bring replacements pursuant to the email, but no initial set up seems very unusual to us, and we travel A LOT! We had zero luck with the outdoor fireplace, but we were pretty busy, so it wasn't a terrible inconvenience.

It is conveniently located requiring only a short drive to all that the island has to offer. Although it is not right on the beach, it’s only a short walk away. We hope to return to Hanu Kaias long as we are able.

Great Family Vacation Spot

We stayed in Honu Kai, 6 adults and a 18 month old, and it was plenty of room with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom and the 1/2 bath just off the living room and kitchen was great! The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and open to the dining/living room for visiting. The pool is perfect for entertaining all ages, it had a small infinity area for the grandbaby! At night we sat around the fire pit to unwind from our busy day! Beds were cozy and the condo is decorated beautifully! The cottages are a nice quiet family atmosphere. We rented a 6 seater golf cart and it was perfect for getting around the island.

Lovely Destination

Owners were very thoughtful in providing a nice getaway- beds and couches/chairs were comfy, kitchen well outfitted, beach chairs and wagon. Was disappointed that gas fire pit wasn't working and screened porch furniture was very dirty with heavy stained cushions and dirty rug. Otherwise, very nice.

Stylish, well appointed townhouse

This was a great place for our family to stay for a long weekend. The townhome is nicely updated with stylish furnishing and decor. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds were super comfy! My only negative is that some of the cushions in the home and the porch had spots on them that seemed would have been an easy clean or replacement. Not a big deal overall. Otherwise, I highly recommend this property.

Honu Kai is a gem of a property. Location is ideal- short walk to pool and access to beach/ocean. Rooms / bathrooms were spacious and updated. Used the outdoor grill for an evening of dining at “home”. Loved the trip!

Can't wait to go back!

This property is an 11 out of 10. We were so happy and impressed with this property. We have a 2 year old and 4 year old and bring grandma with us every year to Jekyll. This house is fully stocked to make a family's stay great. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare Thanksgiving dinner from scratch. The decor in the house is so nice and pretty, it felt like we were at a high end resort. All of the mattresses seemed brand new and really high quality. We had plenty of space in the garage to store beach stuff. The back patio is fantastic and we enjoyed grilling and having dinner out there. We hope to make Honu Kai our vacation spot for years to come!
