Summary:

Windsor Cottage is situated in the stunning seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. The property accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms and welcomes children and well behaved dogs. This exclusive property is in the perfect location for exploring the north east coast, with great transport links via bus and train, and situated on the Cleveland Way - perfect for hikes and dog walking. If you are looking for a truly unique stay and sandy shores on your doorstep, then Windsor Cottage is the perfect place.



The Space:

Just a short walk away you will find restaurants, bars, pubs and a selection of independent shops. There is a surf school on your doorstep and plenty of woodland to explore with your loved ones. You can ride the oldest operating water-balance cliff lift in the world taking you from the bottom promenade to the top promenade with striking views across the water and beach. When the day is done, you can cosy up in the warm, snug living room - perfect for reading a book or watching a film.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full cottage. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Free on street parking is available.



Please note that there are steep stairs within the property.

The town of Saltburn is a beautiful coastal resort with so much character and so much to see and enjoy. You can walk the Cleveland way, take a trip to Whitby, visit the UK's Best Independent Tea House, learn to surf or just relax in the beautiful surroundings. You can make your visit as full on or as peaceful as you wish!

Booked a stay for 2 nights for 21st birthday weekend.Didn’t realise the property is on a main road (directly next to Spar shop) with no direct parking outside but in nearby streets. Short walk to the town.Pet friendly and very basic in furniture & equipment. Adequate. Upstairs much better than Downstairs area. Front door has a gap around it and is drafty. Could do with redecoration touch ups around the property & looking a bit shabby in places.It was alright but I wouldn’t go back. We have stayed in many rentals for holidays that had little touches & extras but this property had none. Such as no washing up liquid, kitchen roll, extra blankets etc. Just very basic essentials. Seemed unloved overall. Small front garden area was unkempt with brown leaves. Virtually constant (even through night) loud music (heavy / swearing rap) could be heard from the adjoining property.Requested a later check out by 1 hour. (11am instead of 10am) Took reminders & weeks to get a negative response. Appeared no leeway or flexibility in this at all. The cleaner was in fact on the doorstep 5 minutes before our check out time!

We're also reviewing the points raised about the cleanliness of the garden area, the draft from the front door, and the need for general redecoration — all helpful observations that will be passed on to our maintenance and guest experience teams. Excellent property in fabulous location.

Had a lovely few days in Windsor Cottage. Property was as described and ideally located next to a convenience store. Just a short walk to the beach and all the amenity that Saltburn has to offer. Highly recommend.

A great location, comfy beds not as clean as I’d like

This is a great property that is located close to the shops and a short walk from the beach - perfect. The best were very comfortable which meant we all slept well. The only improvement would be the cleanliness. When we arrived, I had to clean the fridge as there was dried milk, dirt and stains; the cupboards also needed wiping before we put our food away too. In the current circumstances, we expected a higher level of hygiene and we were therefore slightly disappointed.

Lovely house

lovely house and only a short walk away from the beach and shops. The property had all the necessary facilities and some extras I didn't expect, we took a lot of our own cleaning equipment, etc but these were already provided. The property is on a main road so traffic noise was a bit of an issue at night. Also, the stairs are quite steep so had to be really careful when carrying our little one down them.

Clean and very nicely finished

The property was small but comfortable and decorated to a high standard. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Well stocked Spar supermarket next door was very convenient. Stairs are steep and small treads which need care and no lock on the bathroom door.
