Beautiful thatched country cottage, quiet countryside position .
Rosemount is a pretty stone cottage with breathtaking views and only a short drive to Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast. Just minutes from the River Cottage restaurant and River Cottage HQ. Close to the market town of Axminster. Lots of lovely places to walk, with dogs welcome and a good selection of restaurants near by. The cottage is beautifully furnished and there is off road parking for two cars and a decking area with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Please note the cottage is very old and the staircase is quite steep, so may not be suitable for older guests.

Located in Axminster, this cottage is in a rural area and by the sea. Marine Theatre and The Town Mill are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Lyme Regis Beach and East Devon. Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and Seaton Tramway are also worth visiting. Make sure you don't miss outdoor adventures like ecotours and cycling.
Really lovely cottage that's far away from the noise, but close enough to the action. Cottage was very clean and all facilities were available. We would definitely stay again!
Comfortable stay, very quiet easy for town & surrounding areas. Although garden across small road outside it’s lovely to sit in or above on veranda..
Excellent cottage in a great location for Lyme Regis
We went to the local beaches- the cottage was a great base. It is very quiet, clean and comfortable. We will be back the next time we want to visit south Devon/Dorset.
We stayed here while attending a day course at River Cottage HQ. It was well-equipped and very clean as well as being handy for the course. It's quite small but very cosy and everything works.
Gorgeous cottage in a lovely location - had everything we needed inside and out. Spotless and beautifully decorated, everything catered for. Excellent communication from hosts who accommodated some last minute requirements. Would recommend and will revist
We had a brilliant 3 night stay at this property which is in a lovely setting just outside Axminster. The layout is perfect with comfortable & quality furnishings throughout. The kitchen is well equipped too with dishwasher & washing machine! Also outside there is a lovely terrace area with BBQ & small garden with lovely views. Highly recommend.
Loved the little cottage. Felt very peaceful and cosy. Great location to explore the coast and dog friendly. Equipped with everything you need. Celebrated New Year here with the family. Would love to come back in the spring/summer to enjoy the garden which had lovely country views.
Nice, comfortable and very quiet cottage, clean and well equipped. For our family it was ideal as a base for trips to Lyme Regis, or some nice hikes in the surrounding area. A few (car) min outside the village, beautifully located. Small downside is the limited space for storage.
Myself and my daughter had our (2nd) stay at this lovely little cottage. We love the area as it is near old friends from Sussex who moved to Devon. The cottage is perfect; clean, cosy and in a quiet position but with good local amenities. Ideal. Love it here x
The cottage was easy to find and straightforward to get to even though access was via a single track road.
On arrival, checkin was easy and the instructions from the hosts clear and easy to follow. The cottage had many of the essentials and was a comfortable stay. The stairs were steep and some of the doorways were low, but we expected at a country cottage.
For us, it was a good base to explore the surrounding area for a few days.
2 night stay. Comfortable cottage. Only disappointment was there was no tea or coffee left out, although milk and biscuits left for us. We are looking to come back in the spring.
We enjoyed our two nights at this cottage, there was plenty of information provided beforehand and on site by the manager. The venue was warm, clean and included all linens, even little extras like milk and shower gel! The location was amazingly picturesque, but very hilly and remote, which worked for us as a family, but could cause access problems for some.
We stayed for 2 nights in October half term. The place was plenty big enough for a family of 4 and a dog. It was cosy and warm and we were grateful for comfy beds and good bedding. The enclosed garden was great for the dog and the whole stay was really easy.
We only wished that we could have stayed for longer.
