Welcome to this beautifully remodeled (Aug 2025) one bed condo nestled around the corner from Half Moon Bay in West End. This cozy condo offers a perfect blend of proximity, luxury, and comfort, making it an ideal destination for a tranquil getaway. Impeccably maintained and lovingly adorned, our property is a true haven for nature lovers and those seeking a serene escape. This unique property is the perfect location for scuba divers, snorkelers, or anyone looking to spend time on Roatan.

Studio units have a kitchen with oven/stove, quartz countertops, and beautiful handmade Honduran wood furniture.  Dining table, comfortable queen bed, private bath with large walk in shower, and private balcony with view of mangroves or mangroves and pool.
Imagine starting your day with a leisurely stroll through the charming seaside town of West End, where you can discover delightful restaurants and tiki bars, local gift shops, and multiple dive operators all within easy walking distance. Or hang out in the recently added swimming pool overlooking the mangroves and the bight. There is also a private dock where you can enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon cold beverage.. Or take the complimentary kayaks out (we have 2 singles and 1 double) for a paddle through the crystal clear waters of Roatan. Inside the unit, you'll find a warm and inviting ambiance, embracing the island aesthetic without compromising on modern conveniences. This studio unit provides a restful sanctuary after a day of diving or exploration. The kitchenette is fully equipped with everything you will need (4 burner stove with oven, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, refrigerator) allowing you to prepare delicious meals with ease. Afterward, savor your culinary creations on your private balcony surrounded beautiful views, towering trees and warm island air. Bask in the tranquility of nature, listening to the gentle sounds of birdsong and feeling the stresses of everyday life melt away. Whether you seek a diving adventure, or a rejuvenating escape with a partner, this wonderful property offers the perfect setting. With its idyllic location, charm, and amenities, it promises an unforgettable experience amidst nature's splendor, where the ocean, restaurants, and shopping are just a leisurely walk away.. All utilities, AC and bottled water are included at no additional charge.

This is your own private unit which is on the 1st floor of a 3 story building. Each unit has a private entry. The pool, dock, and BBQ are common areas shared by all 6 units. Each unit has a private balcony with a table and seating.

Our units come fully equipped with everything you need from cooking utensils, to linens, towels, beach towels, dishes and glassware and the list goes on. We also provide all the essentials to get you going such as: 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, one bottle of dish soap, one bottle of hand soap, one bottle of shampoo, and one bottle of shower gel. Please note that we do not refill these items. If you need more you can pick some up at Woody's grocery mart right down the street.

Amazing time in the West End

Clean, well maintained. Loved the location. Very walkable to restaurants and fantastic snorkeling in Half Moon Bay. Loved the pool and sitting on the deck for coffee. All the hosts reccomended restaurants and activités were great.

Great little place for a couple

We had a great time here. It’s just far enough off the main drag to be quiet, but just a few minutes walk into half moon bay in west end. Check in was really easy, they set up transportation for us, and hosts were really responsive. AC worked great and the pool was nice to cool off in. Would definitely stay here again.

Apartment is close to beach and the area with restaurants and shops. Easy to check in. Sadly we had rain six of the seven days of our visit.Kitchen is tiny - small fridge and range is located in the same room as the bed. We did cook a couple of meals on the stove and it worked well. Good price for the room.

Great spot on Roatan

Casa Sierra is a sweet spot on Roatan. Perfectly situated in the West End. My apartment was clean and had everything you need for your stay. I was able to kayak and sit on the lovely dock, wade in the pool and ending the vegetation, so beautiful. I was amused with all the chickens and where the hen would lay her eggs. As a single woman travelling, I felt very safe where I was staying and Michelle and Jeff are a terrific couple. Highly recommend Casa Sierra!!

This studio was as advertised. Great communication from owners and local contact. Kitchenette worked great and was able to make several dinners during our stay. The BBQ worked but does need a bit of work to get all burners to burn. Still did a good job on our steaks. Very clean and easy walk to dive shop.

Perfect Location, Clean and Comfortable

The property was exactly as advertised, no surprises. We loved the location as it was just a short walk to West End. We did not think we would use the pool that much but it really came in handy when we just wanted to take it slow for a bit to cool off before heading to our next adventure. The owners were great and offered some great suggestions as we were planning our trip. They arranged pickup for us at the airport. It was great to have the driver waiting for us after a long day of travel. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Roatan.

Great location in West End!

This condo was perfect for a solo traveler like me! It was tucked away and quiet (minus a few roosters 🤣), but a very short 2-3 min walk to the beach and main road for restaurants and shops. I walked this every day and never once felt unsafe or had any issues! The manager arranged airport transfer which included a stop at the grocery store on the way to the property. The few times I reached out to the property manager, she was fairly quick and helpful in response. Overall, I was here for 2.5 weeks and enjoyed my stay! Thank you!

Wonderful stay in West End

I had an amazing week stay at this property. Very clean and well-maintained. The owners and property manager were highly responsive and very helpful. The value for the quality of accommodation was truly outstanding! Peacefully tucked away on the mangrove side of the water, with a very short walk to the beach, snorkeling, restaurants and shops. Quick and easy water taxi to West Bay for even more great snorkeling, beaches, shops and restaurants. I did not rent a car and easily found safe and affordable taxi to other areas of island. I am a solo female traveler—not once did I feel unsafe. This is the friendliest spot I have visited, out of many in the Caribbean. I only wish I would have stayed longer! Thank you Michelle, Jeff and Deana!

Peaceful retreat but close to the action

We loved our stay here!! At first I was a little disappointed that we weren't right on the sandy beach. We were on the edge of the Mangrove bight. The sandy beach was just a short walk away.. From the pictures on the listing I had gotten the impression we would be on the beach. That was my own misunderstanding. But after being there for a day or two we came to really appreciate not being on the beach where all the other people were. Each day after a few hours of going to eat or explore the shops or playing in the beautiful Half Moon Bay, we were able to walk back to our peaceful retreat with our prestine private pool (the water temp was so nice!), and relax until time to go play again. The ac unit was so nice and cooled off the room quickly. We loved all the art in the unit. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of instructions for what you needed. The grounds were lovely. We did help with maintenance at least every morning when we would go pick up a few fresh mangos 🥭 that fell to the ground every night. Yum yum!! There were fun little critters to be entertained by.. Roosters, chickens and baby chick's, geckos and roatan rabbits to watch. And the people are just so nice. Mark was super helpful with any of our many questions. We absolutely will stay here again. Next time with some family added to the group. Oh and Jeff and Michelle were very very helpful through every step of the process of getting there and during our stay. Thank you so so much!! Many many hugs from John and Cammy.

Lovely Place With Mangos, A Dock and Pool

The location was good as the unit is close to the beach, grocery and other stores and restaurants. There is a lovely pool there and a long dock over the water where there is a breeze and you can watch the boats coming and going. First, I was in a very small studio apartment with only a hard chair and the bed to sit on which resulted in a lot of back pain for me. In addition, the gas stove and the gas container were located right beside the bed. I did not feel comfortable staying in this unit, so luckily for me, there was a 2-bedroom unit available for me to move to. That unit was beautiful with everything you could imagine including a washer and dryer. The owners gave me a discount on the cost as I was only one person which was much appreciated. Too bad there isn't a unit with one bedroom. I really enjoyed my time in this unit however.There are mango trees in the yard and it was their season when I was there so I got to have lots of them, simply by picking them off the ground.There were often dogs barking at night which was really annoying, but other than this it was a peaceful and quiet place.I really liked that a cleaning was included in the cost half way through my stay.Elsie, the person who takes care of things for the owners, was wonderful as she promptly responded to my needs, especially when the electricity went out in the unit for 2 days. She moved me to the first unit I stayed in with another discounted price until I could move back.

Gorgeous and Well-maintained Property

Our stay at Casa Sierra was lovely! The property itself is inviting and sturdy, tucked in against the mangroves, and with a view of the lagoon behind. They layout of the room was surprisingly big and the private terrace and aircon were a huge plus. Location was great, just a two minute walk to one of the best snorkeling spots (we saw 3 turtles and a squid in 1 trip) and 5 min. walk to downtown. Jeff and Michelle were friendly, knowledgeable and prepared. They told us about several cool spots in town and had a ton of snorkeling gear/water toys for us to use. We were happy to have such experienced hosts. All in all, Roatan was gorgeous and our experience was definitely enhanced by our stay at Casa Sierra.

Perfect West End Location

Michelle & Jeff were very friendly and helpful. Had a great time and found it very affordable. Went out on the Kayaks that where available on property. Close walking distance to the local market and fruit stand, over twenty restaurants on the water, many dive shops & souvenir shops, many bars + live music. Also walking distance to the water Taxi that is very affordable to get to West Bay which is another whole area with resort hotels you can spend an afternoon at. though not much night life in that area. As far as Roatan is concerned West End is the place to be at night. We rented a well maintained & clean studio that had everything we needed including beach towels, and cooking utensils. We had an amazing time and made new friends from places around the globe. Was pleasantly surprised that english was spoken everywhere I went. Can't wait to come back ! Thank-you Jeff, Michelle

Great place to stay, clean, quiet, close to town

Spent 2 weeks and loved it. Condo was very clean, all the amenities you need, walking distance to West End and all the shops and restaurants. Great WiFi and television channels selection. Very Friendly and helpful staff on site. Had a great time and would definitely book again at Casa Sierra.

Lovely & respectful hosts! Slept with front door and balcony door open to have a nice breeze flowing thru. U.S.A. cable channels which I loved. My room was immaculate, very clean (every inch), and new fixtures. I also enjoyed having a full kitchen when I wanted to cook my own food. Casa Sierra is isolated enough to enjoy the calm quiet energy and I loved the private dock where I saw all the stars - and yet a very short 1 to 2 minute walk to get to a grocery store, the bay to swim, restaurants, and everything I needed. The owners are kind, charming, professional and felt so at ease. Aloha Pumehana - So grateful I stayed here

THE TRIP OF MY LIFE

I have never experienced at VRBO in the Caribbean before, and I was a little nervous. WOW I had nothing to nervous about. The place was immaculate, warming and charming. It had the feel of an island home, mangrove out the back door with boat dock, fans cooling the place, walking distance to everything! It was about 1 minute walk to get into town, seriously amazing! The host did everything possible to make it the perfect vacation. List of hot spots, contact info for taxi (road and water) list of there favorite things(including restaurants, bars, and other things). Honestly I was blown away!! No more large resorts for me, this is my vacation spot from now on! Oh I almost forgot, the neighbors that live next door where incredibly nice as well and helpful with suggestions!

Hi, we are Jeff and Michelle Haas and we are the owners of Casa Sierra and Casa Canuck. We are real estate brokers, investors and property managers in Reno, NV. As we have gotten closer to retirement age we had been searching for a Caribbean destination to call our own. After many vacations searching for just the right place we finally returned to Roatan where my husband had visited as a teen. I had heard many stories of the summer he came to the island, fishing, diving, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. From the moment, we stepped off the airplane, all the fond memories of that summer in Roatan were confirmed. We had found that special place here in Roatan. 2+ years later from our original purchase of Casa Sierra (half of the building), we bought out the other side, Casa Canuck. We are happy to have been able to expand our little piece of paradise and welcome you to come share it with us!

Why they chose this property

Aside from the charm of the island, the reasons we picked this property were simple, we loved the rustic charm and village vibe of West End. We also loved the fact that you are just a few minutes walk to the grocery store, bars, restaurants, shopping, diving and snorkeling. The snorkeling in Half Moon Bay is world class and only a few minutes walk from our place. If you want to go to West Bay beach, ranked in the top 20 beaches in the world, for the day, you can take a 5-7 minute water taxi ride for a few dollars per person or a land taxi for a little more.

What makes this property unique

Casa Sierra and Casa Canuck suites are nestled in the trees like a giant tree house, we have a dock out through the mangrove to the bight and open to the sea. You can take our complementary kayaks, sit on our great dock or walk a few minutes to Half Moon bay beach. There is no need for a car here in West End, as everything is within walking distance.
