Magnificent villa for seven adults and two children, close to the beach and with Wi-Fi.

Located on a small hill, 1200 meters from the sea and a 10-minute walk from the center of the charming village of Carvoeiro, in a cul-de-sac, this house is the ideal place for those looking for tranquility and a sunny environment.

The house with terrace is ideal for families with children. The house has four bedrooms, a living-dining room, a kitchen and two fully-equipped bathrooms and has been decorated in an elegant and comfortable manner. On the first floor are the living room, dining room and kitchen. In the living room, you'll find a fireplace, satellite TV and radio, as well as a set of comfortable sofas. On the first floor, there is also a bedroom with a bunk bed. The 27 m² kitchen includes a four-burner stove, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave and all the necessary utensils for cooking and eating. There is also a full bathroom on the first floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with two single beds, one of which has an additional single bed. There is also a full bathroom and a bidet upstairs. The house has electric heating, a washing machine and Wi-Fi.

A natural garden and a private swimming pool (8 x 4 m) are also at your disposal. There is also a shower in the pool area. A terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers and a barbecue invites moments of relaxation. Parking is available on site.
The villa enjoys an excellent location. It's just a 40-minute drive from Faro. It is located in the heart of the Algarve, close to the center of Carvoeiro. It is especially suitable for families and tourists looking for tranquillity by the sea. The nearest store is 700 meters away, another grocery store and a supermarket are at a distance of 2.5 km. A shopping center is one and a half kilometers away. About 500 meters away, you'll find restaurants, a bus stop and an 18-hole golf course. Tennis can be played 100 meters away and stables are just two kilometers away. The beach and the sea can be reached in about 1200 meters.

Relaxing backyard oasis close to the beach

The grounds of this property are beautiful and very well kept. The pool was refreshing, and the backyard was the perfect place to lounge in the afternoon. The house itself is quite old, so we did experience some issues with the toilet, shower and stove, but the property manager was very responsive. The key selling features are the outdoor space and proximity to the beach and restaurants, so we were less fussed about the indoor space.

Good Carvoiero base with great pool area

At 1.2km out from the square of Carvoeiro, Casa do Oliveiro is a great base for the area. It's easily walkable into town, although uphill on the way back so just be aware of that...we walked it fine but some may want to grab a cab or drive. Plenty of space downstairs, with a great pool area. Two of the bedrooms are small, one without any wardrobes or drawers, and the bunk room with a couple of drawers. The main bedroom is great with a balcony over the pool. The villa is in a quiet location down a small cut-de-sac, and attached to the next-door villa. There's plenty of privacy though, and if the neighbours aren't noisy its very peaceful during the day. Some noise from chickens and dogs if you need to keep the windows open at night in the summer (which you will), but the locking shutters allow that in all rooms. Best part is the pool, which catches the sun all day and is kept clean. 7 sun loungers when we were there with cushions. The BBQ is good, with shade and sun options for eating. All-in-all, a great villa, with the bedroom set-up the only thing stopping a 5 star rating. The owner and housekeeper communicated well.

Winter Heating and Electrical Issues

We agree with other renters’ positive comments. However, it is important to note some aspects of the villa not previously mentioned. We (2 persons) rented the villa during February and March, 2023. February weather was unusually cooler than normal. On arrival, the temperature inside the villa was 11 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit) with none of the heaters turned on. It took a few days to bring the kitchen and main bedroom to a comfortable temperature. The bedrooms and large kitchen have electric wall heaters. The very large contiguous area consisting of living room, front hallway and stairs has none. The living room wood burning fireplace provides a little heat if the fire is maintained continuously. Despite lighting the fire each evening in February the living room remained cold, so it was not used. Max electric supply is 6.22 kilowatts, enough to power 2 wall heaters, water heater, and a small kitchen appliance such as toaster or kettle. So, after tripping the circuit breakers a few times, we learned to turn off heaters before using the laundry machine, did not use the oven or dishwasher, and did not use kettle and toaster simultaneously. The electrical system was not documented in the villa, so the owner quickly dispatched a technician to restore power on several occasions (2 sets of circuit breakers in the hallway and garage). On request he provided specific information about the electrical limitations to help us manage our use of appliances.

Leider gab es nur ein gräumiges Schlafzimmer, die anderen waren doch ziemlich klein. Das erschien auf den Fotos größer... Auch das untere Badezimmer war eher winzig. Trozdem hatten wir einen super schönen Aufenthalt und das lag nicht zuletzt an diesem tollen Haus. Es war alles da was man brauchte und die Lage ist perfekt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war, auch bereits im Vorfeld, sehr freundlich und vor allen Dingen unkompliziert. Nochmals vielen Dank für alles Leonel und Eduarda :) Allerdings gibt es einen Punkt weniger da, obwohl in der Beschreibung angegeben, kein Fahrad da war :( Ansonsten auf jeden Fall eine Weiterempfehlung...

Large open plan villa

Lovely big villa - very clean and tidy - fab pool but not heated in winter so could not use - garden fenced so safe and secure for kiddies and dogs - but electrics need some attention and kitchen could do with few more items such as measuring jug, cereal bowls, washing up bowl etc But overall had a fab stay there - owner good communicator and house manager very helpful

What can I say..... everything that was mentioned in the listings for this villa is spot on! we had such a great time in Carvoeiro and part of it was staying in this villa. The place was spotless and fully equipped we couldn't ask for anything else it was perfect! The rooms are big,the kitchen is spacey and most of all the pool and outside area is FANTASTIC this is where we spent most of the time. The only thing that spoilt my stay was my room mate snoring at night :-) I would defin recommend this villa 100% Many Thanks Leonel

Review of Casa da Oliveira Carvoeiro

My family have stayed in Carvoeiro on numerous occasions however this was our first time to stay in Casa da Oliveira We found the house spacious and well laid out and the excellent Poor and Garden area were of particular interest to the whole family The house itself is ideally situated being a ten minute downhill walk to Carvoeiro although we did tend to get taxis for the return journey particularly at night and these were inexpensive The owner provided excellent customer service and I would highly recommend Casa da Oliveira to all and we will definitely be returning again S Field Dublin May 2013

Traumhaftes Ambiente!

Wir waren 4 Personen eine Woche lang (16-24.09.12) in diesem traumhaften Haus. Das Haus befindet sich auf einem Hügel, sodass die Aussischt sehr schön ist. Zuerst wollten wir uns Roller oder gar ein Auto nehmen, aber für den 10-minütigen Fussweg zum Strand hat es sich nicht gelohnt. Denn auf dem Weg durch die Stadt kann man in die Läden rein um etwas zu kaufen, deshalb ist ein Wagen zu umständlich,nur wenn man außerhalb etwas erkunden möchte dann ist es sinnvoll. Das Ambiente hat uns direkt angesprochen. Das Haus befindet sich in einer Nebenstraße, daher sehr ruhig. Viel grün, der Pool ist groß, Plastikmöbel ist vorhanden (Liegen, Stühle, Tisch). Wir hatten 2 Schlafzimmer auf der oberen Etage, jeweils mit einem Balkon ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer oben verfügt sogar über ein Bidet. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestatten und es funktioniert auch alles. Alles sieht viel besser aus als auf den Bildern. Wir waren echt überrascht und sehr zufrieden!
