We had a fantastic week and the gite is perfectly positioned to explore the D-Day sites to the east coast and the beaches on the west coast. We would happily visit again.
We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful cottage. We had enough room for everyone and had everything we needed. We loved the environment, truly beautiful and quiet. We did a lot of excursions, to the landing beaches, museums, and the beautiful beaches in the west. There is still so much left to see and to do, so we're coming back :)Thank you for your warm welcome. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay if you want complete freedom to visit and explore the local area .You do need a car to go to the local supermarket and anything you may need . The hosts are extremely friendly and will try to help you out with anything you may need .All in all a great stay .
Excellent stay again , and Valerie and Guy were on hand if there were any problems . Guy leaving his own brand of home brew which was great .The super Market was just fifteen minutes away and the area is very quiet .Very easy to get to local beaches and D.DAY memorials .Went for a few walks in the evening and visited a few sights .On the whole a very relaxing stay again .
We had a fabulous holiday while staying at the Gite. Ideal base for touring this side of Normandy. Such a pretty and quite place to stay. Fantastic dark sky above the Gite. Was very warm and cosy inside. Valerie is the perfect host, warm and friendly. Perfect welcome drink of home made Calvados. Gorgeous garden and sun trap. Beautiful friendly dog next door. If you want peace and lots of beautiful towns and beaches. This Gite is ideal for any family. We will be back.

The cottage was comfortable and clean and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs. Vallerie was easy to contact and we had no issues while at the property. La Haye is a lovely small town and the beaches at Portbail and Creances are fabulous.
Valerie gave us a very warm welcome and was sure to let us know what was around the local area. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather while we were there and really enjoyed the beautiful garden which was really secure so our dog couldn’t make an escape! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Large and roomy old farm house with modern updates. Had everything we needed and more! Valerie and Guy were excellent hosts-they even had a roaring fire going when we arrived! Historic and peaceful location which was a nice change from Paris! We enjoyed coffee on the back patio, listening to the countryside come awake while watching the sun rise. Would highly recommend!
Great gite, in the countryside. Accommodation was really good, lots of room. Great to have 2 bathrooms. Rooms were really big. Useful to have the dishwasher and washing machine.
Outdoor space was great too and had a bbq, although we did not use the bbq. There was a long table for the outside catering. Nice large garden for children to safely play in.
Valarie the owner of the property was lovely, she brought a bottle of her husband's Calvados which was very good.

Thank you very much for your appreciation ... you were very friendly vacationers.
and thank you for making the cottage so clean...
maybe another time
This property is really lovely. Guy and Valerie have made many updates to modernize and provide a great guest experience while maintaining the authenticity of the property! It is very well-appointed with everything you need during your stay. The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! They are both very responsive and kind. Guy's little "treat" of homemade whiskey is a fun touch, too.
The home is located a bit off the beaten path, but groceries and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute drive. Just be sure to pay attention to closing times and availability.
We had a wonderful experience here!

thank you very much for the wonderful appreciation. so happy that the cottage satisfied you and that you liked our beautiful Normandy..
thank you for your kindness and maybe see you next time. I will try to improve my English.
thank you
This gite is well laid out and has some nice aspects (bathrooms & kitchen). When we arrived the owner was friendly and showed us the gite. Unfortunately there were a ton of ants in the main living room. While she apologized for their presence, nothing was done about them. The beds weren't made either, which was disappointing. It was in a nice little village, but not really a place to take a scenic walk.

For the price pretty good. Kitchen good to socialise in. Furniture a bit tired in the lounge. Bathrooms new but hand held shower, couldn't hang on wall though. Bedside tables with lamps on. No sockets to plug them in, so not a lot of use. Bed linen clean but a mish mash of styles. Crumpled and had to make own beds. Square pillowcases to go on oblong pillows. Cupboards full of all sorts of towels and mismatched linen. Valerie very nice though. I think the whole place needs upgrading.
