Fantastic little apartment in a cozy neighborhood right near the Colosseum
My wife and I took a 20th anniversary trip to Rome. We wanted to be able to do laundry and eat some meals in, so we decided we wanted to get an apartment instead of a hotel. We looked a lot of listings on Vrbo and this one was by far the best for our needs.
The apartment was located in a wonderful neighborhood. There were lots of little shops and restaurants within walking distance. We never ate at the same place twice in the 5 days we spent there. We were also a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum complex and another couple of minutes farther to the Metro station there. It was very convenient as there was lots to see just in walking distance and then it was easy to get transportation to other parts of the city.
Check-in was very easy and the property manager was very nice to work with. We actually had a few issues come up (do watch out for pickpockets!) and she was very helpful in assisting us get things situated.
The apartment itself is very nice. The living room is nice and spacious, as is the bedroom upstairs. The bathroom is also nice, modern, and clean. The shower is a bit narrow for us larger folks, but still large enough to get the job done. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a couple of simple meals, and the combo washer/dryer (in the kitchen) helped us keep our clothes clean and refresh the towels mid-stay.
Overall a wonderful apartment, we'll definitely book it again if we come back to Rome.
