A great stay at Shiloh Farm Dom was really helpful with queries we had pre booking and when we couldn't get to the key to check in because of the snow causing the key box to freeze!
The house was so clean tidy and had everything we needed. Very warm which was much needed given we arrived in snow and storms. The Roebuck Inn is just a 10 mins walk away really good local!
Sofas are a little low and not great for the older members of our family to get up off but everything else was great.
Thanks so much for a lovely few days away in the Peaks 😁
Lovely property with a fabulous kitchen. Perfect for our group of 8. We spent most of our time in the house but did venture out for a walk into Delph - be warned it is a steep walk home. Great break in a beautiful house.
We rented this property for my sons wedding. It is a lovely spacious property in a beautiful location. Our host Dom, was great and so accommodating. The bride and her maids got dressed at the property . It was so busy with photographers, make up artists and hairdressers and not once did Dom complained. Thank you so much for everything - we will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful property, but not without some small issues that could easily have been rectified
Great location being totally out of the way. Disappointed instantly by the garden. Table and chairs above carpark area. Not a garden in my eyes. Inside it was as good as the pictures showed it. Massive kitchen. Massive seating area. Views were obstruted by trees and could see extension reels and caravans close by.
Upstairs bathroom had broken mirror, with the jacuzzi taking 40 minutes to try and fill with the bath waste not sealing so water leaking out. Finally got the jets working and was gutted they were so low pressure. Quirky flooring is what you expect but king size bed made a racket getting in it, moving and getting out. Also surprised no tv's upstairs. Downstairs toilet had broken seat. Front door was stiff and made very loud noises opening and closing. Could be down to the heat.
Owner allowed us to check in early and the house was clean. We felt comfortable and safe being inside.

About the host
Hosted by Dominic Barnes
I am Dominic, a 30 year old property developer, currently travelling. I have moved to Australia to travel and currently live in Melbourne. I have lived in the area for most of my life and was born 4 miles away in small town called Mossley.
Why they chose this property
I bought the property in 2017 in a state of disrepair after seeing it at auction. I bought the property as my own home and only decided to travel once it had been renovated. I think the location is great, its so quiet and peaceful, yet only 30 minutes (£20 taxi) from Manchester city center. It took 18 months of work to finish, and I have tried to keep as many of the original features as possible whilst modernizing the house to have underfloor heating, good wifi and be a comfortable practical home.
What makes this property unique
The property is completely off grid apart from electricity. It has its own water supply and sewage system and super fast microwave internet. The views from the garden are stunning, on a clear day you can see the foothills of wales and with binoculars even the Mersey estuary!
