About the host

Host profile image
I am Dominic, a 30 year old property developer, currently
travelling. I have moved to Australia to travel and currently live in Melbourne. I have lived in the area for most of my life and was born 4 miles away in small town called Mossley.

Why they chose this property

I bought the property in 2017 in a state of disrepair after seeing it at auction. I bought the property as my own home and only decided to travel once it had been renovated. I think the location is great, its so quiet and peaceful, yet only 30 minutes (£20 taxi) from Manchester city center. It took 18 months of work to finish, and I have tried to keep as many of the original features as possible whilst modernizing the house to have underfloor heating, good wifi and be a comfortable practical home.

What makes this property unique

The property is completely off grid apart from electricity. It has its own water supply and sewage system and super fast microwave internet. The views from the garden are stunning, on a clear day you can see the foothills of wales and with binoculars even the Mersey estuary!
