Location and convenience to Poipu's best amenities are what make our Poipu Beach Estates home an excellent choice for your Poipu vacation rental.

This home is great for large families or a group of people traveling together, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, it can accommodate up to eight people. There is ample space within this home for privacy and relaxation, from the expansive gourmet kitchen to the living room with sliding doors that open to the covered lanai.

Each bedroom in this vacation rental is well-appointed to meet every guest's needs. The primary suite, on the main floor, comes with its own en suite bathroom boasts a double vanity, freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower, and outdoor shower. Also located on the main level of the vacation rental is the second bedroom with two twin-sized beds for younger guests. On the second level, the third and fourth bedrooms each have an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Poipu Beach Estates neighborhood is one of the newest developments on the south shore of Kauai. This vacation rental features air conditioning in the suites for added comfort, and a full washer and dryer in the laundry room.

Fabulous!

This is a terrific property! The location is terrific, in a quiet subdivision near Poipu beach. Very easy to get to other island locations. The house is well-kept, full of amenities, everything works, the beds are comfortable. Check-in and check-out was very easy, the staff was very accommodating. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great location

We enjoyed are stay. The house had all amenities that we needed and was a perfect size for 4 adults and 3 kids. Pool was very nice to relax in after long days at the beach. A couple of improvements: get an updated Smart TV as the tv is old and hard to navigate. A/C would be nice in the downstairs bedroom with twin beds. Based on a reply to a review, it said all bedrooms have a/c but that was not the case so.

Lots of Room

We rented this property for our daughter’s wedding. We used 3 bedrooms and used the smaller one for wedding prep. The house is very roomy and comfortable with large bathrooms. Everyone loved it. The 4th bedroom is small and would be great for children. As I mentioned, we used it for the wedding dress and ironing. There is only air conditioning in the bed and bathrooms. Just important to know. There is a nice breeze when the windows and patio doors are open. The pool is beautiful. Very close to the beach and shopping center. Less than a mile walk. Definitely will rent again. Loved the property.

Beautiful but bare.

This home is gorgeous. Lovely pool, nicely decorated. Perfect for a family gathering. However, a few issues to be aware of before your stay. 1) The kitchen is bare - no oil, coffee filters, tin foil, spices, etc. You need to buy all of your own supplies for this lovely kitchen. 2) As advertised, only the bedrooms have AC. The AC, however, is locked above 72. There is no AC in the room with two twin beds, either. 3) The backyard is overlooked by newer homes which impacts privacy. Many new homes are being constructed (2023), so there’s noise issues too. 4) There is only one TV, and it has basic cable. 5) The walls are thin. I will say the management staff was incredibly responsive. A coffee maker broke and we needed scissors - both appeared within an hour of the request. Overall lovely accommodation in Poipu.

This house was beautiful and comfortable and in a great, convenient location. The family loved the pool too. I should mention that the bedrooms have AC, but not the rest of the house. I'd recommend staying here to anyone.

Beautiful home in a perfect location

Perfect location with beaches, restaurants and shops either a short car ride or bike ride away. The entire home is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and lanai. Check in process was very easy and communication throughout was prompt. Looking forward to another stay!

Great home in Poipu Beach!

This is a beautiful home in a great location. You can drive to the beach in about 5 minutes (or a 20 minute walk). Within a few minutes drive, there’s shopping complexes with restaurants, a pharmacy, and a Lappert’s ice cream. The pool and backyard area is fantastic. The only thing to keep in mind is that the AC units - located in the bedrooms - cannot be lowered below 72 degrees. With Kauai’s humidity, some in our group felt like it was still too warm in the home even at it’s lowest setting. But other than that, the home was a huge hit for our family.

Clean, beautiful home

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. It was clean and the pool and back deck were absolutely perfect. We did have a few ceiling fans that didn't work and the nights got a little warm. The AC is only in the bedrooms and it shuts off at night. We did start to open the windows at night and that helped a lot. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

A great stay in a great house

This is a great house with a great location for the Poipu beaches. You could easily walk to some, but a bike(these are hard to find on the island right now) makes all of poipu accessible. The house was spotless, well stocked, and communication from the management company was excellent. The AC in the 3 king rooms was pretty darn necessary during our early September stay, so make sure you are aware that the kids room with the twins isn’t air conditioned(we weren’t using that room). If you leave the windows in the kids room open, and that door open, and then the main back doors open, you get a nice cross breeze in the house. The entire setup in the back of the house is pretty great. The only small negatives I can think of were an oddly placed window in one of the upstairs bathrooms that feels like you are flashing anyone in the houses behind you, the front door code doesn’t work on the side gates(I bet if I asked my contact they could have gotten it for me), and the aforementioned AC in kids room if ya got them. But all in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

Beautiful home-Convenient location

Our family stayed here for a week with our adult & teen children. This home is beautiful & clean with a well layed out floor plan. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a family. The pool was a bonus! We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings with the ocean breeze. We loved every minute of our stay in Kauai! Beautiful home but inaccurate listing information

The home is very beautiful, with a terrific layout and swimming pool that provide much enjoyment for families. The kitchen was well stocked with glasses, silverware, etc. The home was also well located, quiet, but close to beaches, restaurants, and shops. The home, however, was not completely as advertised. It does NOT have air conditioning throughout the house; one bedroom and all of the central spaces are not air conditioned. While there are fans, the home is not located in a place where it can benefit from island breezes; as a result, the non-air conditioned bedroom, kitchen, and living area were very, very hot. Also, the home did not allow access to any beach equipment (such as umbrellas, chairs); as a result, if you would like to go to the beach, you will need to rent or buy these things. Finally, the grill was broken throughout our visit. The property managers were very responsive and nice, but unfortunately they could not fix the grill during the week that we were visiting.

Things to know about Makalea before you book

We checked in on June 11, 2019. We loved the location as it was exactly as described. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE Huge KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM AREA. There is no air conditioning in the downstairs bedroom. Air is set at 72 max in the 3 bedrooms that DO HAVE air conditioning. There is only ONE TELEVISION in the whole house, making it impossible to deal with our grandkids, who wanted to watch kids channels! Ugh. I mean, we like watching the evening news alone in our bedroom! The home is beautiful. The pool is heated and perfect. We fought with Michael to get two pool lawn chairs, which he said “must have been stolen,” but were seen through the windows of the locked garage. These small details took this from a five star home to a four. Watching the only TV in the living room, in 84 degree weather, with only a fan, and NO AIR, was unbearable. Opening doors for a breeze attracted dozens of flies.

We had a lovely time staying in Poipu with family. While the house itself is nice and as advertised, there were little things that left much to be desired. For instance, the house does not have basic cooking/kitchen staples such as salt/pepper, coffee filters etc. You will need to go out and stock up on everything. Most rentals i've stayed at (at lower price points) have those basic things. I would have also benefited from a house manual. You have to call/text re any questions. Lots of pool floaties in the garage you can see, but can't use. You get the picture.

Booked on a last minute decision for a big birthday celebration. The house and property is absolutley beautiful! The overall floorplan was designed for comfort, beauty and convenience. The newly added pool was a big bonus for the kids and most especially for adults to relax. Everything was provided, from Malie bath products to utensils to games to keep the family entertained. The Property Manager Michael was easy to get in contact with and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend this property for families or couples traveling together! ABSOLUTELY MEMORABLE!
