Welcome to the Poipu Beach House. IG @poipubeachhouse. A beautiful 1920s-era plantation home steps from Poipu Beach. This home is a historical gem that takes you back to old Hawaii with original wood floors, lava rock footings, and 100+ year old dry-stacked lava rock boundary wall.

Poipu Beach House is an ideal base for your Kauai getaway. Whether you lounge on the covered porch, enjoy our tropical landscaping in the spacious yard, listen to the waves from your bed, watch the roosters from the outdoor lanai, spend the afternoon in the private pool and hot tub, enjoy a secluded backyard BBQ by the firepit, cook up dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen, or stay in for movies and games, this home will provide that and more, with the charm of a plantation-style home.

The home is situated on a quiet residential lane a half block from the nearest beach. The home has all the amenities for your stay, including complete kitchen and accessories, linens, bath and beach towels, soaps, shampoos, laundry, dishwasher, coffee maker/grinder, wifi, TV, cable, toys, games, surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and more.

The large yard is well manicured with orchids, plumeria, palms, and other tropical flowers and plants. You'll love the greenbelt walkway from the backyard to other nearby beaches, washing the sand off the toes in the outdoor shower, the sound of ocean waves and gentle trade winds as the South Shore sunsets filter into the airy windows.

Wow we loved absolutely everything about this home!!!!!! Location is amazing close proximity to the sunny beaches of south shore like literally a 2 min walk. The home is inviting and Aloha style. The pool hot tub oasis is beautiful and so much fun! The sun room is so special. The beds so comfortable and love the art decor. The hosts are very responsive!! Mahalo and we will be back!!!

Another amazing stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Very great communication with Karl, house has everything we needed for our family with elementary age kids and the location is unbeatable.

Fantastic location, especially during the winter

We had a wonderful stay. House was fully stocked and host was very responsive and timely in communication. Walking distance to a few awesome beaches. Hot tub and pool are private and well maintained.

Amazing!

Perfect location for a family stay. Short short walk to the beach and restaurants . Would definitely stay here again. The house is spotless. Beautiful pool and property in general!

Great spot

This was a great rental, it’s so nice to just walk to the beaches and not deal with parking. The pool and hot tub were huge for the kids getting as much water time as possible. The place is certainly a bit dated, (that’s why it’s not 2000/night) but is clean and nice, definitely well cared for. Karl the property manager was great to communicate with and helped us out a lot.

Great Home Base for Family Vacation

Great place for family getaway. We loved boogie boarding and snorkeling at the Poipu beaches. Also, enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. It was easy to get to the beach from the house. The house was well-stocked with amenities and kitchen/laundry items. And the pool was a nice bonus!

Aloha! What an amazing week in Kauai. This house was perfect. We had enough room to spread out and have some quiet time when needed. It's a few steps to a wonderful beach with sunrise and sunset sea turtles, some small and big boogie board waves the kids loved diving into! Fun bar at beach as well for an evening cocktail. House had everything we needed to cook and stay comfortable. Karl was very responsive. Even during the July 29 tsunami, Karl checked on us, let us know the house was actually high enough to stay but we had evacuated anyway. We had a nice tailgate party at Safeway with locals and visitors:)You won't be disappointed at this home! Normally I would choose a newer, modern home but loved this even more! Just made me feel the Aloha in Kauai!We will return. Mahalo Karl and family for sharing your home with ours!

Awesome vacation

The property had everything we could ask for- incredible location mere steps from the beach, spacious living space for the whole family, private pool and hot tub, comfortable beds and a beautiful landscape with a yard to play in. Made our vacation a memorable one! We will be planning to return as soon as we can. Would highly recommend to our friends and extended family!

Paradise in Paradise

Carl is the perfect host and his scene to all the little details that make a vacation seamless and extraordinary. The house is charming, the landscaping is perfection. The appliances are in perfect repair. The beds are comfortable. The pool in the hot tub are stellar. The lanai is spacious and relaxing. The swing is serene. The proximity to the beach is the best of all. We loved everything about it!

It’s better than the pictures!

This place was amazing! The pool area is an oasis! It is secluded and private yet close to the beach. The house is supplied with everything you need and then some. Plenty of tp, laundry soap, trash bags, etc. It also has an arrangement of seasonings and sunscreen, I’m assuming left from other guests. It has toys, movies, board games, beach chairs and toys, pool floaties, umbrellas, surf boards, etc. 2 of the bedrooms have their own access to the patio, which is nice because those 2 don’t have ac. The one bedroom with the ac is a smaller room but has an en suite. Then the main room has an AC that works great and cools the house down. The beach near by has turtles, great waves to boogie board in and a park to roam around. Puka dog and Brennecke’s restaurant are within walking distance. Easy to travel to many parts of the island from here. My family and I would defiantly stay here again and encourage you too as well!

Lovely home with a short walk to the beach

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at this home. The inside of the house is lovely and well appointed, as another person said it's even nicer than the pictures. The beds were comfortable and the pool was a great complement to the beach for our kids. It's a 2 minute walk to Brennecke Beach, where we spent time boogie boarding with sea turtles each day (really). The surrounding homes were quiet and the adjacent villas and tennis courts were almost unnoticed. Unlike some of the other reviewers, we did use the window a/c each day - it was sufficient when augmented by a fan to move air to the back bedrooms. We had one small issue which was promptly resolved by the owner, which is all one can ask. Highly recommended.

Poipu Beach House

The house and the location are excellent. The house was clean and well stocked. The only drawback was that the pool and spa were cloudy and algae ridden when we arrived. We contacted the owner, who was on vacation in the continental US, and he had someone there to clean the pool and spa that day and follow up for two more days to make sure the cleanup and algae treatment were working. It did take two days before the pool and spa were ready. The hair dryer didn't work when we arrived. The owner had someone deliver a new one that day. The owner was very friendly and responsive when contacted. We would definitely stay there again.

Home base for the Family

We had a crew of 21 staying in various places in Poipu. Our house became home base, with folks coming and going as they needed. The location is amazing. Everyone had their own condos, but our place was in walking distance from all of them. Our teens could boogie board as they wanted and then come back for the pool/hot tub. Our early risers often took coffee to Brennecke's Beach or walked down to Shipwreck Beach to watch the sun rise. We hosted numerous potluck dinners at our place and there was plenty of space for folks to sit and eat. The grill and picnic table out back were perfect. There have been some updates since the photos were taken- the lanai and the back deck furniture. The bedrooms are kinda small and the carpet definitely needs to go (bring indoor flip flops), but we honestly didn't spend much time in the bedrooms. Our daughters took turns on the pull out couch and the side bedroom. Neither complained about the comfort of the pull out, so that's always a plus. Beds were comfortable and the house had a ton of throw blankets around for naps or just snuggling up. The living room/dining room combo was comfortable and spacious. We spent a lot of time on the lanai and side deck. The backyard pool, fire pit and hot tub were a gathering place as well. The hot tub had a timer, which I had never experienced. We just got in the habit of sending an advanced party to push the button and within one cycle the water would be hot again. The house has 2 AC units which work fabulously for those areas, but the cool air didn't reach the back 2 bedrooms. It was warm going to bed, but usually cooled off in the middle of the night. And we preferred the open windows to AC, so we never tried running the units all day to see if that helped the back bedrooms. The host was very responsive.

Awesome Spot, Great for Families!

We loved our time at the Beach House on Pane Rd. We had stayed in the home for a few nights, years ago, so we were excited to see the updates done in the meantime. Everybody loved having the pool and hot tub, it was almost always in use by someone in our group. Beds were very comfortable. The backyard is beautful, lush and private. The house is comfortable, only one bedroom has air conditioning so just be aware. There are fans to help circulate the air from the dining room mini split a/c so it was fine. The lanai is big and comfy, the teenagers enjoyed hanging out there. We enjoyed the kitties, chickens, geckos, anoles and Bullfrogs that greeted us everyday. The home is very close to Brenneckes Beach and Poipu Beach as well as Puka Dogs.... Basically we had a week in HEAVEN! We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a place in Poipu! Three years in the planning…

The vacation was cancelled twice before we were able to enjoy some time in Kauai and this property made the wait worthwhile! It’s a great beach house just steps from the beach. It has a pool that always had someone in it and a hot tub that helped smooth out the muscles after a rough day snorkeling at the many beaches…great location to golf courses and restaurants too. Great family vacation!

Great house!

We were two families staying together. The house was great. There was a bathroom for each room which was awesome. We spent most our inside time on the lanai, the kids even slept there one night. Pool and hot tub were amazing. Used the fire pit one night. Everything in the house was great. Location is the best. Nice 5 min walk to the beach. Saw sea turtles. Lots of large frogs in the property, fun for the kids. Highly recommend this rental. New updates, clean. Spacious.
