It’s been a pleasure for me; you’re lovely people, but I’d like to say something that applies both to what you’ve written and to all the tourists reading this: Any criticism is valid if it’s a matter of personal taste, such as the Lezuona, where it seems you didn’t enjoy your stay, but I handle check-ins in person, with my staff alongside the guest, and during your holiday, if something isn’t to your liking, it’s simple: we’re there with you at check-in and we sort it straight away, or you can just call me or send me a message during your stay and I’ll come and check on things and resolve the issue, so you’re comfortable throughout your holiday; On the other hand, don’t say anything at check-in – and I don’t do this with padlocks or smart locks, but with myself and my staff present – so whilst it costs me more than just entering a code, I do it precisely because I have the tourists check everything themselves or mention it whilst they’re there. Don’t send any messages during your holiday and write them afterwards – it makes no sense either for you, who might not be happy with something, or for me, as if I don’t hear anything from you, I assume everything is fine. The sheets are standard hotel-grade; this is the first time anyone has made this criticism, but it can happen that someone has different needs. However, if you don’t mention it during the holiday, you won’t be comfortable for the whole holiday – so what’s the point of saying it afterwards?

George was a fantastic guest. He came to stay with me in Rome, having flown in from overseas; he spent a few days with me in Rome and then, as the train station was nearby, he went off to visit other Italian cities for both pleasure and work. Then, after this tour, he booked another stay with me in Rome, stayed for a few more days and then caught a flight from Rome to go home. Communication was fantastic because he gave me his phone number straight away as soon as he booked, and we exchanged lots of messages with information. If only all tourists were as perfect as him, and not like those who leave a one-star review out of spite because they caused damage and deny it against all evidence. I recommend him to all other landlords for his upcoming trips around the world, and if he or his friends ever want to stay with me again, it will be a real pleasure and I’ll give him a discount. Perfect.

The guest had booked three dates for two people, and then explained to me that one of them would arrive two days later, so I told him to make the change. He made the change without changing the dates, only changing the guest number and having another friend make another reservation for the following days.I therefore gave him a €40 discount because he was alone for one day, but he didn't change the dates, which remained the same, and he had his friend book under a different name for the following dates. In addition to the confusion caused by the tourist, the mistake recognized by the web portal and the operator who responded to me on April 5th is significant. He told me that he, from Vibo Valentia and the changes, also saw the confusion and the dates remained the same, and since he hadn't arrived on the 5th, they told me to declare a no-show. On the 6th, another Virgo operator said that the previous operator had made a mistake and that the guest still had 24 hours before the no-show, contradicting herself with the other operator on the portal. In fact, I explained this to the tourist and asked for damages not from the tourist but from the web portal, because it is a much more serious matter: a professional web portal paid for by commissions and therefore not free, makes such egregious mistakes.
