Welcome pack. Courtyard with patio and garden furniture. Electric car charging point. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. This detached cottage is situated within the beautiful village of Farnborough, a conservation area and on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The open plan living/dining/kitchen on the ground floor is centred around the cosy wood burner and also has bi-fold doors open onto the patio, where you can relax with a glass of your favourite tipple after a day’s exploring. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms as well as a family bathroom which features a slipper bath and separate shower cubicle.

In the village, Farnborough Hall, a National Trust property, is well worth a visit during the summer when it opens 2 days a week, and you can even enjoy tea and cake in the village hall on opening days. Get into local village life by buying your meat from the butchers van that visits Farnborough on a Saturday, and serve up a sumptuous English breakfast for your loved ones. Just under 3 miles away is Burton Dassett Hills, the perfect country park for walks, flying a kite or eating a picnic whilst admiring the views of rolling hills and open countryside. The market town of Banbury and Royal Leamington Spa are full of high street and independent shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. Approximately half an hours’ drive will take you to either Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick with its famous castle, Bicester Village, famous for its shopping village, the Cotswold towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold or Woodstock, home to Blenheim Palace. Shop 2½ miles and pub 3 miles.

What a wonderful home from home.

What a wonderful home from home. Everything you need for a short break away. Comfy beds, lovely bath and shower, great log burner sustainable (air source) heating. Couldn't fault it and would have stayed longer if we could. Some lovely local landmarks including St Botolphs Church and Farnborough Hall just a short walk away. Would highly recommend and look forward to rebooking 👍

We booked here for a weekend to attend a friend's wedding and had a wonderful stay. Finch Cottage is great - there is so much thoughtful attention to detail throughout the property. It has a well-stocked kitchen and Jilly had left delicious homemade marmalade and muesli which we were very grateful for, not to mention the bottles of wine and a local ale! The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and everything is really well considered. It has a lovely fireplace with more than ample wood provided. The cottage is a perfect blend of modern, traditional and cosy. We had poor weather so didn't get to use the little garden but it is nice to have the private space available if the weather had cleared. Jilly was friendly and swift in all our communications. There was lots of recommendations about the local area provided in a folder and we walked up to the local pub for dinner one night (about 30-40mins walk). You need a car for anywhere else though as it is a small (very pretty!) village and there are no shops. There is a walk you can do from the cottage though. Highly recommended. Thank you Jilly!

Honestly the best cottage I have ever stayed in! Beautiful little village, beautiful little house yet has everything you need maybe more! The cottage was well maintained and equipped to a high spec. The bed is so comfy as well. Will definitely be back again in the future.
