Rest, relax and refresh at our newly renovated home located at 920 East Ashley (AKA “Sandy Bottoms”), where you can "get away from it all" and take everyone with you!

This is a spacious vacation home, which is a rare find at Folly. You can have the best of both worlds! This home offers ample space to accommodate large gatherings but is cozy enough for those who wish to capture some quiet time.

Our vacation home is only 200 steps to the beach and 9 short blocks to Center street.

Whether you prefer relaxing at the beach, surfing at "The Washout" (which is just five blocks away), or are drawn to the hustle and bustle of Center Street, at days end, you can retire to the peace and tranquility of your vacation oasis. Our home has a generously sized great room with a large flat-screen SMART TV, 5 ample sized bedrooms with new queen-sized memory foam mattresses with all new fresh bedding (May 2020). Our home also has 4 full bathrooms.

Our lower level is a dedicated 1300 SQF game room, 50 inch SMART TV, Poker table, Ping pong table, Air hockey, Foosball and a Kitchenette with the 4th full bathroom on this floor.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate….no worries…you’ll still have fun hanging out on our updated, 700-square foot, fan cooled veranda. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine on one of the two wooden decks that overlook a beautifully landscaped yard. On-site parking areas provide convenient parking for at least 5 vehicles.

Upon booking, the individual that books the property will be asked to provide a copy
of their driver's license, as well as, the first and last names, and ages of ALL guests
staying in our home during the rental period.

Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday only!

June 1 - November 30 is Hurricane Season. We do not offer weather related refunds.
If a state mandated evacuation of Folly Beach is ordered by the State of South
Carolina, we will be happy to reschedule your vacation.

Pretty much perfection. Note: the Keurig stopped working and the Mr. Coffee had one overflow issue, one of the kitchen trash cans needs to be replaced, foot pedal dose not work and the leather recliner next to the suede one would not close back up until we manipulated it. Thanks you, we had a Great stay.

Great location, just a couple of hundred feet from the beach.

This place is not fancy, but is fantastically located near the 10th East beach entrance and has 5 bedrooms that can fit a lot of people--perfect for our family reunion.

Family time

Our family came to Charleston for a wedding. We loved the location! It was close enough to restaurants to ride bikes and we didn’t have to deal with the crowds. The house was just a short walk to the beach and there also were not as many people there. The house worked great for the amount of people we had.

Amazing stay!

Awesome Beach House

Sandy Bottoms was the perfect house for our girls beach weekend! Spacious with plenty of beds, a large kitchen and dining room, and a comfy living room for us all to hang out in! The location was great, only a mile from the main street of Folly and exactly 200 steps to the beach (we counted!). Would highly recommend staying here

Thanksgiving Reunion

We had great time. Since the children ranged in ages 5 to 15 the game room was well used. The house was big enough for us to have plenty of private space.

Great for family gatherings!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy Bottoms! The rooms are spacious with comfortable seating and beds. Huge table for the 8 of us to enjoy meals together and play games. Very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Super close to the beach too! Game room was a nice bonus for evening activities! Only suggestions for owner would be to change linens from microfiber to cotton for more breathable comfort, and to upgrade and provide more bath and hand towels. Owners were super nice and responsive. Overall would recommend, and we would stay here again without hesitation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We comfortably fit in the house with 16 people. The beach was a block away and we could hear the waves crashing on the beach from the screened in porch. The kids loved the lower level game room and kept them occupied when they needed down time. Loved the family memories we made at your lovely house. Thank you

Had a good experience and stay, I just didn’t realize there weren’t TVs in the bedrooms. And I’m the type of person that HAS to have a tv at night. However, it’s close proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants, was a huge plus.

Nice place

Overall it was a good place to stay. The AC went out on the first night but was fixed by the following morning. Beds are decent. Very well equipped house and lots of sleeping spaces and bathrooms. Location is fantastic! Didn’t care for the 72 cap on AC but we got it ok’d to turn it down at night. 72 is fine during the day but at night it was stuffy. It all worked out.

Great house for large groups

The house worked really well for our group and, while we are all adults, it would also be fantastic for families with children as 3 rooms have two queens beds and plenty of space for luggage, pack n plays, etc. The large family room was perfect for movie nights and we really enjoyed playing games on the front porch and eating together at the giant kitchen table. The game room was fun and was a great space for the young adults to hang out late at night. There are two refrigerators, which was nice for our larger group. While Center Street is within walking distance, there really isn’t a safe place to walk at night (only on the road) so if you are planning a late night out, you will want a ride home. The beach is easy access and not at all crowded here! Really, this place has everything you need at a beach house for a large group.

Great place for a group gathering.

The main house was spacious and clean. The linens were nicely prepared. The kitchen was well supplied with all we needed for the stay except the food and drinks of course. We didn’t really use the game room downstairs because it was dusty and air was stale and not directly connected to the main house. We had to go outside to entered the game room area. One thing though, perhaps since it was an early spring booking and the AC had not yet been maintained and serviced, the main AC system did not work well. Good thing the one in the master bedroom was working fine so I slept well. My friends had to endure the warm temperatures at night. We were out most of the day and we can cool ourselves with ice cold drinks in the evening. That reminded me, the ice maker in the fridge was also not working well.

We put a great deal of TLC into renovating this home so families can have a place to gather, slow down and reconnect.

This property gives you all that you need; plenty of space to stretch out in the house and a .25 acre lot. We love the tranquility of the property, but are close to the hustle and bustle of the beach town atmosphere.
