Beautiful house with huge fenced yard! Host was great and communicated before during and after we stayed. Great location close to the beach but in a quiet area. Will definitely book again.
The kitchen, dining and living rooms were perfect space for family time. The patio and fenced in backyard was also great for our dogs to run and an evening bonfire with smores. Easy walk to the beach. Highly recommend!
One of the cleanest properties we have stayed in! Plenty of room for everyone, including our dogs that loved the porch and fenced yard. Loved the ping pong in a rainy day and not having to pack beach chairs was a great bonus!
Kitchen had everything you need. Grill was nice and had good utensils and was very clean. House was clean plenty of towels. Host was excellent with communication and helped us with an early check in. Host communications were very fast and didn’t make us wait around for an answer to questions.
We loved our 6 night stay at Beachy Haven. The house was perfect for our multi-generational family - roomy, cosy for a December visit, comfortable, well-equipped, and lots of natural light. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our furry family member thoroughly enjoyed the fenced-in back yard. Since we were on the go much of the time we didn’t use the ping pong table in the garage as much as we would have liked, but we loved having it. Walking on the beach daily (beautiful sunsets) while also being only a 25-30 minute drive from Charleston was a perfect combination for us. We would highly recommend Beachy Haven for either a family beach vacation or as a base for exploring Charleston and the surrounding islands. Thank you Erin!
Everything was exactly as posted, easy moving in and ease of departing. Bedrooms were stocked with clean towels, kitchen handled multiple cooks, lots of dining seating areas and 1/2 bathroom sure helped having 6 adults and 3 children. Close to beach access with amenities for coffee and groceries.
My group of 5 were very comfortable in this house. Enough relaxation space for everyone and located on a side street away from the main avenue with a 5 minute walk to the beach!
The property was wonderful, housed my entire family. We had prompt responses and over all easy and relaxing stay! We’ve already talked about booking again for next year!
Owners were fantastic with communication, property was accurate as shown in photos and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly! First time in the area and it did not disappoint. Will most likely stay again!!
A beautiful house, beautifully decorated and maintained, in a beautiful place! My family and I were seeking a peaceful and cozy new year holiday with access to local sites and conveniences and the Palmetto porch house absolutely delivered. Erin was a delight to deal with, we would definitely stay here again!
we were looking for an affordable place that was near the beach and could accommodate our daughter and her college friends. Now that school had ended, and before they all started their jobs. Close enough to the beach and all the critical things that we needed at a reasonable expense the owner was flexible and communicative with us throughout the process
Loved this house. Plenty of space and very nice. Nice neighborhood and close to the beach.

We are so excited to have found our little spot of paradise on Isle of Palms (IOP) And we are excited to share it with you.
Why they chose this property
Our house has the best of both worlds - proximity to the beach, and proximity to the marina.
The Beach: The beach is only a short walk away - with the main beach access being on the same street the house is on (41st Ave). And the beach is why you came, right?!
The Marina: You are only 100 yards away from the marina - featuring a public boat ramp, a playground for little ones, a wonderful (brand new) restaurant, and one of the best shops on the island to pick up your official "IOP" T-Shirt, hat, keychain, along with just about everything else (expected and unexpected).
Furnishings and decor: The house has been well maintained, and updated - with comfortable furniture, beautiful, tasteful decor, and everything you'd need for your stay on the island.
Screened in Porch: We have a beautiful screened-in porch that's big enough for multiple families to stay, eat, drink, and laugh about Susie's awkward sunburn she got. :-)
Ping Pong and foosball: Sometimes the weather disagrees with your plans. Sometimes the weather agrees with your plans, but the kids do not. When either situation (or others) present themselves, enjoy a game of ping pong in the garage, or foosball in the living room.
Huge, enclosed backyard: We have a huge, enclosed backyard to let the kids and adults burn off whatever energy is left after 8 hours at the beach, and the "winner take all" ping pong tourney.
Outdoor Shower: Take full advantage of a heated, ourdoor shower! Or, perhaps a cooling shower because you fell asleep on the beach. Regardless, there's something 'je ne sais quois' about taking a shower outside! :-)
Solo Stove Firepit: Who wonders why the smoke always follows you wherever you move around the firepit? It's because smoke is a sentient being (you remember the smoke monster from Lost, don't you? :-). That's why we decided to invest in a Solo Stove. Its design leads to an almost smoke-less fire. Which makes s'more roasting even better!
And this is just the start!
What makes this property unique
Proximity to the Marina + Lots of parking: If you have a boat - bring a boat! We have enough parking on our property for all the cars AND a boat. The summer months can be a bit busy with limited day parking (and no night parking) for your trailer. But because we are only 100 yards away - it makes it really easy to drop the boat in, park the trailer at the house - and walk right back to the dock and motor away.
