This is a 30 day or more rental. Welcome to your home base for all adventures Newport. Get ready to ditch the car keys and explore our beautiful city on foot as we are just steps off Thames St. and walking distance to all the magic Newport has to offer - shopping, dining, museums, mansions, Salve Regina, the NY and Ida Lewis yacht clubs, gorgeous beaches and parks/playgrounds for the little ones. Our classic two story, 3 bedroom home with central A/C has been lovingly refinished with YOU in mind! The airy downstairs offers a bright, open-concept kitchen/dining room/living room - the perfect spot for entertaining and making memories. When hunger strikes (or cocktail hour!) head outside to our private, quiet, beautifully landscaped yard for alfresco dining on the brick patio - pure bliss! But the fun does not stop there. Listen to your favorite tunes on bluetooth speakers throughout the house or watch the world go by from the comfort of the front porch. Upstairs you will have a restful night with two well-appointed guest rooms boasting their own bath along with a primary bedroom complete with its own ensuite bath and flat screen TV. And if 3 baths aren't enough for you, indulge in some outdoor shower therapy after a day at the beach - pure relaxation awaits! Whether you are a family, a couple or a group of friends, our house has everything you need for the ultimate Newport getaway. Charming Cottage

Our 30 days in Newport were made even more enjoyable by staying in this charming, clean, well appointed property. This home was in excellent condition and had been well thought out to provide a very comfortable stay. The location is convenient and walkable. We plan to return and stay in this property again.

Great place to stay

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our family and in an excellent location, walking distance to everything we needed. There is even a great park just around the corner that our daughter loved and we met some really nice locals. If we ever come back to Newport we will definitely stay here again. Nancy was wonderful to work with. Thanks for such a great rental property!

Perfect house!

This place is beautiful and has everything you could need! Great location - you can walk to so many things, including a big park for kids. The house is wonderful with a great backyard. It made for a perfect family vacation. Only thing to be aware of is the blinds in the bedroom are thin, so just plan accordingly with children.

Beautiful home in great location!

Clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. Did not at all feel like a rental, more like a home. This included wonderful flourishes at the house like an outdoor shower and Bluetooth in the indoor showers! The location is about 1 mile from the wharf and was more walkable than we thought! Would highly recommend.

Great House and Outstanding Host

We come to Newport for the month of August for sailing and vacation. The house was a perfect mix of quiet but easily within walking distance of all the attractions. Nancy was an incredible host. She was very responsive to our questions and needs. She went above and beyond!!!

Good location, clean and comfortable!

My two daughters and I loved this house. It was a good location and we walked to most everything. We were so comfortable and everything we needed was there. Having shampoo, cream rinse and body wash in big containers made it easy to leave ours at home. Weather was perfect. Thank you Nancy for being so accommodating and letting us arrive early. I hope we can return some time....

Great Stay!

Property was nice, great location within walking distance to many downtown locations. They provided everything you need (soap, towels, linen, dishes)...just show up and you are good to go! That’s pretty rare in my experience. The Ash Mart and Coffee place about 1/2 a block away were an unexpected bonus for any snack/caffeine/etc needs. We stayed for a relative’s High School graduation and Nancy was awesome when the School changed the dates on us...no small feat during prime season. Can’t go wrong here!

Fabulous House in a Beautiful Location!

This was a beautiful property with every single thing you would need…even a first aid kit we found when one of my friends fell and needed bandages. It was SO clean and fresh! Just beautiful! We wished the weather during our stay would have been a bit more accommodating so we could have used the gorgeous back patio more for happy hour and morning coffee but we did get to use it a few times and it was lovely. We even got to play DJ one night as the place has a turntable with a great selection of LPs from the ‘70s which we loved!!!! Our girls trip to Newport was made even better by staying at this lovely home!! Thank you ❤️

Loved it!

We rented this house for almost the entire summer (2017) and we absolutely loved it. The house is even better than the pictures on the website and the location is prime walking distance to everything Newport has to offer. Phil and Nancy do a great job at making sure everything is organized and easy to find. They keep a binder with easy to find instructions, suggestions and recommendations for the area, and are very accessible if any additional questions arise. If our schedule permits, this house will be off the market next summer. That's how much we love it!

Absolutely Beautiful!

The pictures on this listing do not do this home justice. It is the most well thought out rental we have ever stayed in. Nancy has gone above and beyond with the details to make it peaceful and comfortable. Everything is well thought out including the wonderful bath products, laundry soap and kitchen supplies she provides. The decor is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The guest notebook provides excellent details for how to work all the electronics and also lists of local places for restaurants and places to see. Between the Bluetooth speakers throughout the house and the breeze coming in from the windows, it makes you want to snuggle up on the comfy sofa and never leave. Nancy was available and quick to respond for questions we had. The location was perfect and only moved our car once. Easy walk to all the Thames St restaurants and shops. This was our first trip to Newport and loved every minute of our visit. My husband and I stayed for a week and I can honestly say, it was not long enough. We will 100% be back and hope Nancy and Phil’s home is available. Thank you both for sharing your place with us.

We all loved the house! Very Clean! Design/decorations were perfect! Perfect amenities! Very cozy - reminded us all of the homes we grew up in! Location - terrific! Owner response and assistance - beyond what we would have expected - the weather this past weekend was awful - the owners actually sent us a message and offered an additional night at no cost due to the weather letting us use the residence for an additional day! Which was much appreciated!

Fantastic in Newport

Beautiful home, cozy and lovely inside and out! Back yard is so private, an oasis in town. Great space for 6 adults, room for everyone to have there space and great kitchen and dining area for us all to join together. Easy walk to shops and cliff walk, gives you the true Newport experience. Can't wait to visit again.

We summer elsewhere in RI and want to share our home during the Summer months with others looking to explore and vacation in Newport. We are close by if the need arises and know you will love our home and fantastic city!

Why they chose this property

Our home is in the heart of Newport and all it has to offer. Parking on season can be a challenge in Newport but not when you stay with us. Leave your cars in our driveway and explore the city on foot. Our home has been completely renovated both inside and out with all new bathrooms and kitchen so you have a sparkling new house with the charm of a classic Newport home - the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique

Our house is in the 5th Ward neighborhood of Newport with many "old time" Newporters as neighbors, so you feel like you belong immediately. It is walkable to the heart of downtown but provides some breathing room when you return from your adventures. There is a fantastic park around the corner as well as bay beaches that are much less crowded than the public beaches making this a perfect location for your visit.
