About this property

Panoramic Lake Superior Views + Year-Round Hot Tub

Wake up to sunrise views over Lake Superior from this hilltop home. The unobstructed view stretches along Marquette’s shoreline to the city’s distinctive ore dock and can be enjoyed from inside the house, the deck, and the year-round hot tub. The deck overlooks a fully fenced backyard with a fire pit and propane grill, while downtown Marquette, the lakeshore bike path, and Lake Superior beaches are all within easy reach.

Built in 1900, this bright and open Victorian home retains much of its original character, including high ceilings, hardwood floors, original woodwork, an oversized pocket door, and the kitchen’s tin ceiling. Upstairs are three bedrooms, each with a full or queen bed and ample closet and dresser space, plus a twin rollaway for additional sleeping space. The full bathroom is also located upstairs.

The main floor offers plenty of room to spend time together, with comfortable living and dining areas and a half bath tucked behind the laundry. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen has plenty of room for preparing meals and includes cookware, bakeware, serving pieces, bartending accessories, Instant Pot, a KitchenAid stand mixer, and a well-stocked coffee and tea bar. Whether you plan to cook throughout your stay or bring home dinner from one of Marquette’s restaurants, the house is stocked with the practical details that make settling in easy. Families with young children will also find a large collection of Hearth & Hand wooden toys, including cottage house and train sets.

The outdoor spaces are set up to be enjoyed throughout the year. The deck-top hot tub offers views of Lake Superior and is open year-round, while the fully fenced backyard is especially convenient for guests traveling with dogs. A propane grill and fire pit are also provided. During the warmer months, guests can make use of our beach gear, including a 2-seat Radio Flyer wagon and 6 beach chairs. South Beach is less than a mile away and an easy stroll from the house; the walking route passes by a popular local bakery and a neighborhood convenience store, so picking up snacks and beverages on the way is easy.

One of the house’s best features is its location. Downtown Marquette and the Lower Harbor are about a 10-minute walk away, putting restaurants, breweries, shops, festivals, and the waterfront within easy reach. The nearby Founders Landing section of Marquette’s lakeshore bike path connects to miles of shoreline, local biking trails, and Presque Isle Park.

Pets are welcome! In addition to the fully fenced backyard, the house provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space for guests traveling with their dogs. The pet fee is $60 per stay.

Accessibility
All bedrooms and the full bathroom are on the second floor.
Some stairs are required to enter the house.
The entrance to the first-floor half bath is narrow.

Security
Exterior security cameras monitor the front driveway areas and face away from the house. There are no cameras inside the home or in the hot tub area.
