Camp Luke Charles cottage has a very peaceful setting.

Camp Luke is our personal home and has many personal items and decorations in it. Please review all pictures so you know what to expect.

Perfect for nature bathing surrounded by trees and the Sand River. A private and relaxing river front home overlooking the Sand River across from Lake Superior Beach. Located in a country 4 natural acre wooded setting on State Highway M28 East, we are 15 minutes from downtown Marquette and 25 minutes west of Munising. Beach is a 600 foot walk from the house, A gorgeous 3 mile stretch of Lake Superior beach is a short walk down our wooded driveway and across the road. This beautiful sugar sand beach is rated as one of the UP's best beaches - clean, fine sand and amazing water. Camp Luke Charles is nestled in the tall red pine forest between Lake Superior and the Sand River. The Sand River is excellent for easy, relaxing kayaking and canoeing which leads out to Lake Superior. Bird feeders bring visitors all year long. Beaver, martins, great horned owls, and bald eagles are seen on the river and beach area.
Modern eat-in kitchen with Quartz granite tops, glass tile back splash, stainless steel appliances, fully stocked for cooking, baking and serving any size group.

A hiking trail, which starts near the cottage, is great for a relaxing nature walk to an old train bridge.

No pets allowed. No AC/air conditioning.

No ORV's, ATV's or snowmobiles allowed on property because adjacent properties are private.

Camp Luke Charles is year round lived in home with many personal family and owl decorations. Please review pictures of rooms so you know what to expect when choosing our home for your stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Luke! We had a group of 6, and the cabin felt very spacious and comfortable. It was also very well-equipped with kitchen supplies, towels, etc. The location was very nice since it felt so private and quiet. We especially loved using the kayaks/lifejackets in the stream right by the cabin!

Wonderful house for a family vacation! Absolutely cannot beat the location, amazing access to a beautiful Lake Superior beach, we had several nights on the beach with a fire, s'mores and stars. House is well equipped with comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen, lots of beach towels, and many spaces to appreciate the beauty of Marquette, both inside and out. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Close to Marquette. Nice town and a lot of things to do around the area. The back porch area of the house was my favorite hang out. So beautiful and peaceful. We had a blast with the kayaks and the canoe on the river. Would definitely stay again.

Clean and Comfortable East of Marquette

A pleasant stay in a cabin with room and character. Five adults were comfortable and another five could have joined us, no problem. Cabin was clean with interesting decor; about 10 miles east of Marquette in peaceful surroundings. Beautiful beach across the hwy. Aacross the hwy.

Why they chose this property

Located in the Red Pine forest on the bank of the Sand River. Surrounded by trees and set back from the road to offer a peaceful setting. The private sandy beach directly across our drive is several miles long and great for walks along the water, campfires, swimming and more. The Sand River is calm and surrounded by nature great for kayaking.

We are close to either Marquette or Munising which both offer many activities and shopping experiences.

Lakenenland Sculpture Park is a 1 1/2 miles toward Marquette (West) and a wonderful place to stop and visit.
