Characterful stone farmhouse

Are you looking for total privacy in an oasis of tranquility away from all stress and bustle in a beautiful location with panoramic views over the Tuscan hills, a place to unwind, then you've come to the right place. Located at the end of the road, amid the deafening silence with a hidden private swimming pool. Despite the location, many historic cities can be reached within an hour. The house consists of 2 floors with separate entrance, each with its own bathroom, sitting area and kitchen, making it very suitable for 2 friendly couples.
Upstairs are 2 connecting bedrooms with double bed, a spacious bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower and bathtub. The kitchen is super cozy with fridge / freezer, gas stove with electric oven and dishwasher. In the dining room there is a large table with 8 chairs, the seating area has a sofa bed for max 2 small children( 140cm)The house is suited for max 4 adults with max 4 children.
Downstairs is 1 bedroom with double bed located on the east side of the house, with direct access to a terrace located under a large fig tree. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. The kitchen is equipped for breakfast or cold preparations to make a barbecue.
Outside is an authentic wood-fired pizza oven.
The lower pool with 2 connecting sun terraces has a beautiful panoramic view. The ideal place for aperitifs enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Stay in Umbertide

The property in Umbertide for sure is extremely peaceful and quiet. The house is fully equipped and the swimming pool is great. All linen and towels are plenty available and the stay is absolutely private. A few remarks though: (i) As previous tenants have mentioned in their review: the property is very hard to reach with a normal car, with normal clearance between the body and the road. The road is very rough and prone to further degradation after possible thunderstorms. We actually did damage our car on the first day. (ii) Logically, given the remoteness of the property, the water supply comes from a well and the result is that the water has a strong iron taste and smell, rendering it unfit for cooking and drinking. It is good to know that you will have to buy drinking water. (iii) As previous tenants have noticed: bring sufficient insect repellants if you want to linger outside near the swimming pool. All these comments are not preclusive, but important to know before one sets out to enjoy the property.

Grande maison au calme dotée d'une superbe piscine avec vue sur les belles collines environnantes. Excellente situation: de nombreuses excursions peuvent se faire dans les villes (Perugia, Assise, Gubbio, etc...) et villages environnants, avec de très belles surprises (notamment Montone). Excellent restaurant au pied de la colline (pâtes de qualité et viandes exceptionnelles). Nous avons cependant eu la malchance de devoir subir de nombreux taons près de la piscine. Prévoir des répulsifs.

vacation the way you want it

We had a wonderful time in this vacation apartment. The communication was cordial from the beginning to the end. Carine answered every question immediately, before, as well as during the stay. Check in was straightforward. However, getting to the house is a bit difficult - you can't get to the house with a lowered car. Just getting to the domicile is an adventure. Once arrived there, you live in a lovingly and grandiosely furnished house with an indescribably beautiful outdoor area including pool. The tranquility, since you have no neighbors, is absolutely delightful. All in all, I would gladly come back at any time. Thank you for this wonderful time.

Très belles vacances entre la Toscane et l'Ombrie

Excellent séjour dans cette grande maison toscane, parfaitement équipée et très propre. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la belle et grande piscine et son eau fraiche durant cet été caniculaire. La maison est un havre de paix au milieu de la nature, des animaux et nous a permis de pleinement nous ressourcer durant 10 jours en début juillet. L’Osteria en bas de la colline est une bonne adresse proposant une cuisine régionale vraiment bonne et pas chère. Vous y trouverez également de l’eau de source à acheter en cas de besoin. La région regorge d’endroits à visiter et nous avons spécialement aimé visiter Perugia (pendant le festival Umbria Jazz … vraiment très sympa), Arezzo la petite Sienne où certaines scènes du film « La vita è bella » ont été tournées ainsi que la séduisante petite ville de Cortona. On y mange à chaque fois très bien et les adresses conseillées par Carine sont excellentes. En résumé un bel endroit pour des vacances en Toscane/Ombrie des plus réussies ! Merci à Carine pour son aide à distance et ses conseils avisés :-)

Beautyful and lonely house in the midst of nature

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday at Carines and Jans house. They are very friendly and helpful hosts and they were always available for questions or help. The house is very clean, absolutely beautyful and the view is just gorgious. Our children loved the Pool ;) If you want to be far away from everything within nature its the perfect place!
