About this property

Great For Families- Bring your boat!


This house is a 1600 SF home that was renovated in 2020. The neighborhood is considered upscale and was built in the 80''s. There are no through streets so there is no loud noise or traffic.

This home is located 3 miles from Ft Walton Beaches and 7 miles to both Destin and Navarre Beach. I do live across the street should any problems arise. There are security cameras on only on the front of the home and the home has a monitored smoke/fire/weather alarm.
The back porch is very private with 8 ft privacy fences on both sides and trees/shrubs on the back fence. There is a TV on the back porch in the event you want to have a movie night. A permanently mounted propane grill is on the patio for cooking. (I furnish the propane)

Off the living room is a work are with a desk and side table if you bring a printer or other equipment.

This home is very clean and neat. This is a great place to spend with your family to enjoy our beaches and what the area has to offer. Instead of retiring for the evening in a crowded hotel/condo you can relax in a house . If you have any questions regarding this property please send me a message.

If you are traveling for 30+ days I can offer a special discount for military or traveling nurses.

Elaine is indeed a super host. She made sure we were happy and comfortable every step of our stay with awesome communication.The home is in a nice neighborhood and has a cozy feel. From the fireplace to the private back porch and yard (including a nice gas grill). The entire house is furnished with everything you could possibly need. Definitely highly recommend staying at Elaine’s house!

Amazing home!!

We stayed for a family wedding and couldn’t have been happier! The home was spotless, spacious, and well stocked with modern appliances and super comfy beds. The host was incredibly kind and attentive—she had the lights and AC on for our arrival, checked in with helpful tips, and even shared a restaurant coupon. Quiet, safe location and truly the best rental we’ve experienced. Highly recommend!

Very Nice and Spacious House

We want to thank our host, Elaine, for being so welcoming and making our stay feel like a home away from home. This house is in a very quiet neighborhood, spacious and very close to everything, specially the military base and the Destin/Ft Walton Beach airport (VPS).

Graduation celebration

We rented this place to celebrate our Granddaughters graduation. The house was perfect for our group. Only issue was the neighbors apperaently dont like a little noise and complained we were too loud at night. If you stay, keep it down. Our host was wonderful.

Beautiful house in amazingly clean and kept up shape!

Property is in 10/10 shape. A lot of coastal houses are shaky but this one is obviously well maintained. Shower was high pressure and great to use. Everything clean and working. Lots and lots of room. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect trip

This is a nice neat and clean house and the owner was very friendly and helpful. We chose the house because of the quiet neighborhood and it has a garage that was perfect for storing our kayaks.

Perfect family spot!

This home was amazing for our family as my kids and I joined my husband while he was at Hurlburt for month of training. Super convenient location to base, beaches, and restaurants. Elaine was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Home was very clean, beds were comfortable, and we loved the screened in porch and yard. Wonderful!

The property was exactly as presented and the hostess was the mostest! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to this area. It was quiet and the community was friendly. It was also close to everything I needed and wanted to do and go. The hostess provided everything I needed in the house, responded immediately with any requests, and was knowledgeable about what to do in the area. Needless to say, we had an exceptional stay.

I am a Charter Boat Captain ! I grew up in Biloxi, MS and, after moving to Florida in 1975 I found realized I found paradise and vowed to stay in this area. The beaches and water in Ft Walton/Destin area is spectacular.

I went to school in Biloxi, MS and then went on to get my BA degree from Troy State University. I worked for State Farm Insurance Company as a Claim Rep/Trainer/Reinspector for 32 years. Before that I worked in State Farm agent's offices for 10 years. When I retired in 2012 I didn't want to quit working, I just wanted a different job. Since I was an avid fishing person I decided to get my Captain's License and work as a Charter Captain running my own boat...The Ruthless. (I have to tell you that story when I see you). Since I enjoy people I started having people through a rental agency as a short term rental. When I acquired the house across the street from me I decided to make it a short term rental.

I now spend my days working on providing people a nice place to stay on our beautiful "Emerald Coast".

Why they chose this property

This property is a very nice brick home in a very quiet neighborhood within 7 miles from beaches in both directions. During the summer time the traffic in the Destin area can become gridlocked. Since this home is mid way between Destin and Navarre Beaches you can go to either beach and avoid traffic.
My home is very clean and furnished with everything you need to spend your vacation. There is a washer and dryer on the property so you can keep with your laundry and beach towels. The neighborhood is very quiet and there are no "through streets" with high traffic. The Santa Rosa Mall is just 2 blocks away (walking distance).

What makes this property unique

The home has a split bedroom plan with 2 bedrooms on one end and the master bedroom and bath on the other end. The yard is very private with a 6ft wood privacy fence around the property.

This property is close to the Santa Rosa Mall as well as a short distance from Destin, Ft Walton and Navarre Beach. There are lots of places to dine in the area. There is also an infrared grill available for your use.

During the winter months the rates drop to a very affordable price with a week long stay.
