About this property
Luxury town home in 5-star resort w/ panoramic water and mountain views
Located hillside in Southwest Harbor with breathtaking water and mountain views, my home-away-from-home is a three-level, contemporary town home in a 5-star resort, just a five-minute drive to Acadia National Park's many attractions and a short walk to shops and restaurants. It is a sun-drenched and cheery end unit with windows on three sides and fabulous views of Somes Sound to the north, the mountains of Acadia to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean and islands to the east. (Early birds can watch the sunrise each day from one of the decks!)
Main Level of My Town Home: The main level includes a living/dining room area with a queen sofa bed, two side lounge chairs, flat screen HDTV, dining table for six, telephone, and deck; a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, lobster pot (!), and all tableware/utensils; and a half bath/laundry room with washer/dryer. Linens and towels are provided.
Upper Level of My Town Home: The upper level is a spacious, master bedroom suite with a king bed, chaise lounge for reading or just kicking back, flat screen TV, telephone, skylight, ceiling fan, and deck. The full bath on this level has a whirlpool tub with shower and a skylight.
Lower Level of My Town Home: The lower level has two double beds, full bath with tub and shower, patio, and backyard barbecue grill and picnic table.
Harbor Ridge Resort: Harbor Ridge Resort is small and exclusive, with only five, eight-unit buildings, 40 townhomes in all. Of course, I think mine is in the best location, i.e., nothing between me and the views! The clubhouse area has an indoor heated pool, hot tub, tennis court, fitness center, playground, game room, video rentals, great room with a grand stone fireplace for rainy day activities, and staff on duty to assist with your every need.
Acadia and Harbor Ridge have it all!

The unit was just what we needed. We didn’t have any large cooking pots other than the lobster steam pot, but the office helped us out with that as well as letting us borrow a griddle. The outdoor charcoal grills were ready accessible and we were able to have some good home cooked meals. We ordered a homemade blueberry pie at the office from a local baker and it was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we visit this area.
My son, his wife, and my two grandchildren ages 5 and 12 stayed there for a week. They reported a great time. The kids used the playground, pool, and clubhouse. The family was able to walk to Southwest Harbor on a path. The townhouse was clean and comfortable. The views from the balconies were great. They were very happy with the townhouse and resort.
Property was exactly as per the description. Very clean house and beautiful location. I wish the owner had kept more pots and pans and bigger pans for ease of cooking for families.

A well-equipped condo in an excellent location.
A spacious three level condo in a small, well-run resort community. Comfortable beds and furniture. Balconies off each floor are a pleasant place to sit and read and there is a grill out back for barbecuing. A much quieter alternative to Bar Harbor with all the amenities one would want, including some good restaurants, and well situated for exploring MDI. The clubhouse has an exercise room, pool, and DVDs for rent. Tennis court and basketball court are a plus.

Great setup for families with younger kids
Harbor Ridge is a great option for an MDI vacation, especially if you have younger kids and want bad weather back up plans. There's a main clubhouse with an indoor pool, hot tub, and game room downstairs (one pinball machine, air hockey, pool table, PacMan and Asteroids!). And, upstairs they have a big open space with lots of board games, cards, and puzzles. There's also a playground and tennis courts. Almost all units have only 2 bedrooms but can sleep six on a pullout couch in the living room. There's a stocked kitchen and dining room area. The are only two tiny downsides. One is that the common space in the living room is a bit tight. For seating, there's a rocking chair, kind of formal arm chair thing, and only one couch. So, it's hard to all hang out comfortably in one space after a long day around the island. It would be perfect with another couch or love seat instead of those two uncomfortable chairs. The other tiny thing is there's not much outdoor space for each unit. A balcony off the living room and one off the master upstairs, but only room for two chairs to sit outside and enjoy the cool evenings. Our owner was very professional and responsive.

Just a brief note to provide some context for the minor criticisms of my property. This property is in a 5-star resort consisting of timeshare town homes so owners do not choose the furnishings. That said, the living room has the appropriate amount of comfortable seating for the space. Additional furniture would overwhelm the space. Renters can always move pieces around a bit to create a cozy arrangement that works for them. And since this is a town home, understandably the outdoor decks are not huge, accommodating two people on the upper deck and up to four people on the middle deck. Also, there is a rear patio and yard on this end unit with a BBQ grill and picnic table plus plenty of space for relaxing outdoors. Hope this clarification and additional info helps with your decision-making!
This townhome was a great home-away-from-home. Spacious, comfortable, well equiped, nicely furnished and a convient location made our time at Harbor Ridge relaxing, easy and fun. Our unit was clean and well-maintained and working with the owner was very easy. The beautiful views from the decks and windows offer the Sound, Atlantic Ocean and mountains. Restaurants, shopping and more are just a few minutes walk into town. You are a short drive from the wonders of Acadia National Park or the fun and beauty of Bar Harbor. There is so much to see and do in this part of Maine! After a day of exploring the area, it was delightful to return to a welcoming private space. The resort is beautifully maintained and the common areas offer a place to relax, internet access, area information, things to do if the weather is uncooperative, a gift shop and a helpful staff. I can strongly recommend this property to my family and friends.
