My wife, my daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Southwest Harbor! The condo was clean, comfortable, and close to everything. I would absolutely visit Mt. Desert Island and stay here again! Acadia is a treasure!
We loved everything about this place. It was just the right size for our family of 6. We loved the hot tub, quiet evenings, sunsets, and proximity to so many things. Highly recommend!
We loved staying in the quiet side and watching yachts and lobster boats coming and going from the harbor. We walked into town several times. The home was perfect for the 4 of us and had everything we needed! Host was very responsive to questions. Would definitely recommend.
We absolutely loved everything about our stay in Southwest Harbor! The condo was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located close to grocery stores, restaurants, hiking trails, and Acadia National Park. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, dishes, pots, pans and gas grill. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the dock with our beach chairs in the afternoon, soaking in the hot tub, warming up at night by the chimene (lots of firewood provided), watching sunrises, and peaceful evenings. You can’t beat the views from the deck, and we’re so thankful we discovered this gem on the “quiet side.” Acadia is truly a treasure, and this spot made it easy to enjoy it all. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!
We just completed our 8th year staying here and it never disappoints. You can’t beat the views from the deck or the proximity to restaurants and local attractions. Every year we say how thankful we found this spot on the “quiet side”!
We loved the location of the VRBO home. It was in a sleepy Maine area close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. The view was beautiful. Soaking in the hot tub after long hikes was dreamy.
Our family really enjoyed our stay in Southwest Harbor. Watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor was awesome. We hiked and biked throughout Acadia and it was great to return at the end of the day to this peaceful, well maintained, and beautiful home. Thank you for a fantastic vacation!

Clean, cozy and beautiful view!
Our family of three had a wonderful week at Port! Great, private location with easy walk to town and all the amenities. We had fun exploring the island overall and enjoyed the hot tub and private dock. We look forward to returning to Port the next time we're in Maine.

Sounds like your family all enjoyed this home and this island....looking forward to welcoming you back!
Beautiful view, clean and quiet space, very comfortable and nice location. We never once heard the traffic or neighbors. Great spot to enjoy the best of Acadia.
South Harbor is about half an hour from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and the main portion of Acadia national Park. We enjoyed being able to escape to our quiet little house located right on South Harbor while staying close enough to Acadia to do all the hiking and eat all the lobster that we wanted.
This was my first time trying a VRBO stay. This property was exactly as pictured, clean and had organized and well though out check in and check out process. It is in a great location for visiting Bar Harbor and the Acaida National Park. It is a place I hope to stay at again. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Great Location and View
Great location. Easy walk to shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor. Beautiful view overlooking the harbor. Fun space with a loft bed, and nice amenities with the hot tub, dock, and deck. Some furnishings and finishes were starting to look a little worn, but all in all a great place to stay.

We love this location and the view...thanks for the feed back..gonna go out and buy a new coffee table for the living area and spruce things up a bit!!
The stairs are very steep and we would not recommend for seniors. Top floor "loft" bedroom stairs were too steep for us to use. The second bedroom on the bottom floor was very hot with no air conditioning. The main floor was wonderful with a stunning view!
Very well kept and clean. Far enough off of the Main Street with great parking. No need for a sunrise pass to Cadillac! We enjoyed it right from our living room couch. Would definitely rent again! Reached out to owner about one small thing and responded right away.
The view is truly priceless! We also enjoyed the hot tub after hiking the nearby trails each day. Quiet location and never heard the neighbor next door. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this was the first time we have been asked to sweep and the vacuum the floors on departure!
We are retired and getting a bit to old to navigate a sail boat. We loved the view looking at all the boats coming and going. We visited Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, We ate the best food from Little Notch Bakery. Try the blueberry pie. Its to die for. Thank you for your rental it had all we needed to feel at home.
Had a great time. Weather was very warm. The area and park was fantastic. A few things we saw that we think could help. Sun blocking curtains in upstairs. Need new can opener. Overall except for the heat we had a great time. Would truly come back and stay again.
Oh hot tub was a favorite too.

Fabulous hideaway!
Our stay at "Port" was amazing. From the minute we entered and saw the spectacular view of the harbor, to enjoying the comfortable amenities of the property and SWH , the daily adventures of driving around the island, hiking, dining, shopping AND lots and lots and lots of delicious lobster and mussels...one of the best vacations ever. Having the hot tub was an added bonus , again with that spectacular view. The property is well maintained, offers comfort and felt like a home away from home. The owners/management are highly responsive to your needs. We made a great choice coming here! Couple from Reston, VA

As we say here in Maine..."you had a wicked good visit"!
We really enjoyed our stay in this home and location. We had everything we needed in the condo. We did not hear our neighbors at all. The loft stairs are a little tricky but we had adult children manuvering the stairs so it worked out. There is a BR in the downstairs next to the main BR if you have youngsters. The views are outstanding. Don't miss a sunset. Some mornings there is fog so when it's clear you won't want to miss it. Beautiful. We would stay again and definitely recommend.
To us, the location a short drive south of Bar Harbor was key. We didn’t want to be in the middle of the tourist bustle that is Bar Harbor, but also didn’t want to be so “off grid” that we’d feel too isolated. Southwest Harbor checked all those boxes. Just enough locally without compromising tranquility.
The place was great. Amazing view. Good kitchen and bath arrangements. Gas BBQ on the deck that we used one night to grill some steaks to go with the lobsters we got to go from Beales a 4 minute drive from the unit.
