Stunning modern 1 bedroom flat in South Kensington
Beautiful studio/1 bedroom flat decorated to the highest standard. The flat has double hight ceiling in the sitting room with large window overlooking the garden, it has been recently decorated and has new furniture which is modern and very stylish.
The bathroom is done in lovey marble and the kitchen is white and clean. Lovely place to call home while in London visiting. The bedroom is a balcony bedroom which has a lovely large comfy bed. Please note that the ceiling hight is a bit low (5ft6) upstairs but you will only be going there to sleep :).
There is Free unlimited WIFI and Smart TV. Electric blinds that can be operated from the bed. The building is stylish and very pretty and the location is near Earls Court and Gloucester Road tube stops which makes it very easy if coming in from London Heathrow and getting around London (Piccadilly/Circle/District line access).

Annabelle is a terrific host. Very responsive. Offered up some great dining tips. She's got terrific taste - the place is decorated beautifully. The flat is very close to the Earls Court tube, which made it super convenient. We would definitely love to come back again!
This was a perfect launching pad for my London stay. The tube is ever so close and efficient. Plus it’s a fantastic walking neighborhood, too. Restaurants, groceries, pharmacy all very near by. The place was very very quieter which also appreciated. Highly, highly recommended for not more than two travelers.
We loved our home away from home in Flat 7! So many great restaurants nearby, lovely stroll to and from the Earl’s Court tube station, wonderful shower, and very comfortable bed and sitting area to kick back and relax.
Very well located. Close to Earl’s Court Underground station. Very clean. Only downside was low ceiling in the bedroom area and steep stairs leading up to the bedroom area.
The flat is nicely updated and very clean. Great location about halfway between Gloucester Rd and Earls Court tube stations. Nice view of a lovely park. Very comfortable and convenient place to stay in central London.
My husband and I stayed here for a little over a week. The apartment was as described, very clean with all the amenities we needed and in a great location easily accessible to two main tube lines. Host was always responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this place while staying in London.
This VRBO was in a great location, close to shops and the tube station. The flat had all amenities, however we found the bed small and the very low loft ceiling not very practical.
The host was fantastic with prompt and clear instructions.
A great apartment in a great area. Lots of amenities close by. Communication with the host was easy and she was quick to respond. Nice and clean with all the supplies we needed. A couple of things to note: lighting over the bathroom sink could be improved, stairs to the loft are steep but the handrails made it safer, no hot water in kitchen faucet. Overall we would recommend this place to others and would stay again.
Great location. Apartment is small but adequate. Directions for using appliances need to be updated to reflect more modern (very good) appliances, particularly the stove / oven and washing machine.
Was a great week staying in Kensington, a quick walk to the Earl's Court Tube stop with the Piccadilly and District line taking you anywhere you need to go. There are a few shops nearby open very late and early if you need any last minute stuff. The loft is short as listed so just be aware of that, but Annabelle was very easy to communicate with and made it very easy to stay there.
Check in was easy as instructions were given well in advance. Very quirky location of flat inside of the building, upstairs, no lift. Flat is a loft situation. Bathroom down, bed and closet up. We wanted to go upstairs as little as possible given the fact that you can’t actually stand straight up because of the ceiling height. The stairs are super narrow and carpeted. During the night, my husband slipped and fell on the stairs, so after 2 nights we felt like staying was risky, so we left for a hotel.
Other notes: mattress sits directly on the floor, no nightstands, lights above bed and over mirror in bathroom didn’t work, only 1 towel per person was left for 7 night stay.

Hi Jennifer, sorry that you weren't happy, the flat is only on the first floor in the building so not too many stairs up to the flat door (I do mention that in the listing and don't mention any lift facility). Inside the flat the stairs going up/down to the sleeping area have hand rails each side for extra safety as it is carpeted and I do mention in the listing the height of the ceiling up at the top which is 5ft 6", I can stand up perfectly fine up there and I'm just under that height. The mattress isn't on the floor but on a low platform (with draws underneath) and there are closets downstairs by the door for your use. I've checked the lights do work above the bed so not sure what you were doing wrong there and the lights in bathroom are stick on battery operated lights a guest put up there!!!! All the other lights in the bathroom work and I'm waiting for handyman to remove these battery operated lights and repair the damage to the ceiling. I provide 2 towels per person, one large and one small and there is a brand new washer/dryer and cleaning capsules I provide if you had needed to wash them or you could have ask me to drop some more off. At no point did you contact me to discuss any of these items and just left (without paying for half or your stay) and didn't cancel the reservation so I wasn't able to re-let it out. I do hope that any future owners don't have the experience I had with you.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely flat near Earl's Court. Not only is it stylish and well-appointed, it was spotless with great fluffy towels and nice bed sheets - important ingredients for a pleasurable vacation! The proximity to multiple tube lines is fantastic to get to all the tourist attractions. Plus it's an easy and cheap trip on the Piccadilly line to/from Heathrow. Also super close is the wonderful M&S Foods. Walking to the Design Museum and museums in South Kensington area is great. We attended multiple concerts at Hyde Park and rather than join the crowded queues at the tube station after the shows, we walked home in under 40min from Hyde Park Corner on an easy and safe route (the crowds eventually thinned so we could walk faster) - almost a straight diagonal line down Knightsbridge, Brompton Rd... We spent a couple of relaxing afternoons in the flat watching Tour de France and Wimbledon on Eurosport with the Sky TV on the large tv - luxury!! Glad we can't get that station in Canada haha. We would definitely recommend Annabelle and this flat to friends and family and would happily stay here again. (PS We are both 6' and having to nod our heads for a few steps to get in and out of bed was no big deal.)
Owner was great with communication, unit was easy to access and location was easy walking distance to great dining, shopping, the Underground, groceries/staples and museums.
But we found the flat to be sorely in need of attention in several areas:
1. Assorted chipped dishes, rusty knives, mishmash of glasses
2. Inability to get hot water in the kitchen sink due to the way the faucet lever was installed
3. Moldy shower
4. Leaking toilet
5. Dirty area rug
6. Missing threshold in floor to bathroom door showing exposed dirt, cement chunks and dust
7. Control panel on washer/dryer was in need of repair/ burned out making it difficult to select correct options
8. Broken toilet (loo) paper holder
9. Iron would heat but had broken parts and leaked water / no steam
10. Linens were not nice - hole in sheet, dingy bath towels
Just felt like a student housing unit rather than a city getaway spot for holiday.
With some repairs, cleaning and new purchases, it could be a nice unit.

Hi I'm so sorry you weren't happy, as you can see from the other reviews no-one has mentioned any of these things before, I wish you had said something and I would have come by to fix them or replace them (like the iron and plates), I will certainly address what you said was broken immediately. The sheets/towels are of very high quality and are professionally cleaned and ironed, if I notice any damage I throw them away and buy new sheets so will make sure to check they are in good condition, again I could have dropped off another duvet cover/sheet if you had mentioned it to me at the time of your stay. I do hope you enjoyed the great area at least and how lovely and quiet it is.
