About this property

Lovely seaview villa in Elba Island Natural Park - Sea, nature and sunset.

A third stand-alone seaview double/twin bedroom (dependance) is available and can be combined with the house (ON demand).

We are in the middle of Elba Island Natural Park, deep in a quiet green, with forests and mountains behind and a charming blue sea ahead. The sea and coast below the house are the most beautiful of the Island, still uncorrupted and quietly savage. The position, just a bit high on the coast between Marciana Marina and Sant'Andrea bay, leads a superb sea lookout and a greatful peace . Casa La Scuola (it has been used as an elementary school for locals up to the '60, that's why the name) is a single house with large seaview terraces. A large roofed front terrace with marble table, sunbeds and chairs and lateral sun shelters, during summer becomes the real living area of the house. A second lateral "full seaview" flyover terrace overlooking the sea and "in the water" sunset is at guests disposal (and private of the house). Additional amenities as a seaview barbecue, a practical additional hot/cold external shower, let the house perfect for an agreable outdoor living.

Casa La Scuola is composed by a living area with new fully equipped kitchen, extensible wooden table, sofa and TV area, a nice double/twin bedroom, a single bedroom, a mezzanine with 2/3 beds and a new bathroom with large shower.
An additional stand-alone double/twin bedroom (named Torara) with its own bathroom and shower is available. It was the old cantine where agrarians stored oil and wine, now a dependance that can be combined with the house.
This way the accomodation becomes a 7 sleeps accomodation with 2 bathrooms and showers. Beds are all single and they can be combined on a double and reverse.

The location is the ideal starting point for beach and sea life but also for charming trekking through forests, valley and mountains of Elba Island Natural Park and for visiting medieval villages in the area.

Finally Casa La Scuola is a comfortable accommodation in a quiet natural place with wonderful seaview over a magnificent blue sea.

House with a view

Amazing

We were not prepared to the beauty of this place. Yes we read reviews but we did not expect it was SO beautiful. Seaview from the house terrace is extraordinary: the sun goes down into the sea right in front, bringing a sky of exiting colors for hours. All in a really quiet place and beautiful house. We just loved.

Danke an Andrew (der Besitzer that rented his two houses to us and our friends. We stayed in La Scuola/Aia while our friends stayed in Casa Sant'Anna. La Scuola is a wonderful practical house with everything we needed: good equipped kitchen, good beds, good new bathroom, nice outdoor facilities (barbecue), befriedigent Wi-Fi, seaview from its elevated terrace was meravillous. The same can say for Casa Sant'Anna (a few meters away but a little zurucksetzen and with the terrace on the other side, perfect for spending holidays in company but without disturbing). We can hardly say which was the best as it certainly depends on the type of group and personal tastes. Finally we had a great holiday with our friends, great barbecues and sunshines, great walks around and great baths in the wonderful sea. We all really enjoyed it.

Our stay

We had a perfect stay in this property. The interior is comfortable: beds, sofa, new bathroom with large shower, new kitchen, mosquito nets on windows (excellent) and good Wi-Fi Internet. The exterior is exceptional: large front terrace with roof and additional lateral elevated spectacular seaview terrace with table and sunshade. Apart from the wonderful view over the sea and sunset in the water ahead, what we mostly appreciated was the seaview barbecue (we had magnificent dinners), the external shower and the comfortable car parking at 2 meters. Finally the place is, I would say, unique: a small group of houses on the top of a hill facing the sea, surrounded by mountains and woods, full of paths and history. The beach below the house (10 min walking) is named La Cala and it is a jewel. It is a varied small pebble beach with a torrent (mostly dry) flowing in the central part. It is the only beach where we found natural shadow (tamarisk trees and reeds) and where we had the most exiting snorkelling. In the end our stay was the best we could find, we will definitely return.

Original house in wonderful place

Ancient rural house in a wonderful place. It is part of a small agricultural village immersed in tranquility. The house, well renovated, is independent, has its own outdoor spaces and a beautiful sea view. From the terrace in front of the house (original from 1700), if you are sitting, the sea is partially hidden by the roof of a lower house, but attached to the house there is a comfortable raised terrace with table, chairs and deckchairs, from which you can enjoy a complete and magnificent sea view. In fact we always had lunch and dinner there, with the sea in front. The house itself is cozy, the living room is not very big, but it is functional and comfortable, with good beds, a new bathroom and an equipped kitchen. And then there is the large outdoor area, where we always liked to be, even if it was a bit cold in the evening. The place is special, nature, silence and sea. From the house we always left on foot and explored all the surroundings, until we reached Marciana Marina and Sant'Andrea. The beach below is beautiful, natural and uncontaminated. We recommend this accommodation to all nature lovers and special places seekers.

Das Haus ist super ruhig gelegen mit zwei riesigen Terrassen und hat einen wunderbaren Meerblick. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Informationen zur Anreise kam etwas spät, weil wir einige Tage lang angereist sind, so dass wir z. B. keine eigene Bettwäsche und Handtücher dabei hatten. Das sollte man also einplanen.Zudem ist das Haus wirklich sehr einfach und aus meiner Sicht für eine Familie mit Teenagern zu klein. Im Haus selbst gibt es nur eine kleine Küchenzeile und eine Couch zum Aufhalten sowie zwei recht kleine Schlafzimmer: Ein Doppel- und ein Einzelzimmer. Die übrigen vier (!) Betten befinden sich auf einer Galerie unter dem Dach.Internet (WLAN-Router) funktioniert über das Mobilfunknetz nur so mittel: Netflix u.ä. also eher schwierig. Sich mal aus dem Weg zu gehen auch. Insgesamt war es für uns daher nicht so wirklich entspannend.Nochmal: Das Haus ist wirklich schön, die Lage ist - wenn man nicht auf Touristentrubel aus ist, sondern Ruhe mag - auch toll. Für unsere Famile mit zwei Teenagern von 15 und 17 aber einfach nicht das richtige.Der Gastgeber kann dafür nichts: Andrew schickt recht umfassende Informationen, die man sich gut durchlesen und ggf. nachfragen und dann in Ruhe überlegen sollte, ob das Haus das richtige ist.

Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Andrew war mehr als super, das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und lag für uns perfekt- an einem schönen Wanderweg, mit Meerblick, in der Nähe von Sant Andrea und Marciana, aber man benötigt natürlich ein Auto. Wunderschön ruhig. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub!

Sehr schöne und vor allem ruhige Lage zum entspannen.Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. (z.B. Küche)Guter und schneller Kontakt zu Andrew (Vermieter), wenn man Fragen hatte. Die Aussicht auf das Meer war absolut beeindruckend und entschleunigend. Wanderwege gehen direkt vom Haus ab und beim Bäcker oder Supermarkt im Nachbarort Sant Andrea bekommt alles notwendige.Rundum ein toller Urlaub/Insel.

Traumhafte Urlaubswoche auf Elba

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in dem Haus auf Elba!Besonders gefallen hat uns die ruhige Umgebung und die Aussicht, aufs Meer und mit wunderschönen Sonnenuntergängen von der Terasse aus.In ca. 20 Minuten gelangt man über einen relativ steilen Weg zur kleinen Bucht Cala - ein sehr schöner, Steinstrand, an dem man fast alleine ist. Für den Weg ist festes Schuhwerk und Kondition erforderlich. man wird aber mit glasklarem Wasser belohnt und kann sogar Schnorcheln. Der Strand ist der schönste in der Umgebung! (Badeschuhe sind von Vorteil) Marciana ist ein toller Ausgangsort für Ausflüge (z. B. zu den nahegelegenen Stränden Sant Andrea oder Pomonte / zur Seilbahn Monte Capanne /zu den schönen Städtchen Marciana Marina oder Poggio)Der nächste Supermarkt ist ca.20 Autominuten entfernt.Im "Haupthaus" sind 3 Schlafzimmer - ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett, ein Zimmer mit Einzelbett sowie 3 Betten, die über eine kleine Treppe erreichbar sind. Außerdem gibt es die Möglichkeit, ein zusätzliches kleines Zimmer nebenan mit einem Doppelbett und kleinem Bad dazu zu buchen.Bettwäsche und Handtücher müssen mitgebracht werden. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, es fehlt lediglich ein Toaster und eine zusätzliche Pfanne. Ein Whirlpool ist nicht vorhanden, dafür aber eine Outdoor-Dusche :) Andrew spricht englisch, die Kommunikation mit der Dame, die die Schlüsselübergabe gemacht hat war etwas schwierig (nur italienisch).Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und können das Haus weiterempfehlen

Una piacevole vacanza

La casa è bella e ben curata, perfetta per una famiglia di 5 persone come noi. La cucina è ben equipaggiata, ha tutto il necessario per cucinare, c'è anche il forno, il microonde e la macchina per il caffè all'americana. Gli spazi esterni sono ampi e comodi, ed è tutto è vista mare. C'è il barbecue e una piacevole doccia esterna. La terrazza sopraelevata è stupenda. Dalla casa si può scendere direttamente a piedi a La Cala, una bellissima spiaggia di ciotoli e roccia ancora molto naturale. Il sentiero è un po' pendente ma è molto breve (10 minuti). Sempre dalla casa ci sono tanti altri sentieri, noi siamo andati solo fino a Marciana e poi sù alla Madonna del Monte (c'è un Santuario con una piazzetta con fontane bellissima), per un trekking bellissimo in mezzo al bosco, ma si può andare anche a Sant'Andrea o a Marciana Marina. Pensiamo che la casa e il luogo sono stati perfetti per noi, e lo sarà per tutti quelli che li piace il mare la natura e il trekking. Unico appunto è che per fare la spesa bisogna prendere l'auto, ma è un piccolo sacrificio per un posto così bello.

Il nostro in Casa La Scuola

La casa va bene e comodo per 5 persone forse 6 se sono bambini, molto pulita. Lo spazio esterno è tanto, una terrazza davanti alla casa con tettoie e vista mare, molto confortevole e spaziosa, e una vicina piu alta con vista mare ancora più bella, e un tavola per splendide pasti. Ci ha piaciuto molto la doccia esterna, davvero piacevole. E il parcheggio della auto proprio a due metri da casa, molto comfortevole. Il luogo è bellissimo. Ci piace tornare in autumn se possiamo.

Da le fotografie e recensioni le aspettative erano alte, e devo dire sono state molto soddisfatte. La vista mare è stupenda, il luogo è incredibile tranquillo in mezzo alla natura e la casa è bella e ben tenuta. A piedi al mare o montagna, è stato magnifico. Great view and position

Nice house in fully quiet place. We mostly appreciated the sea in front and sea view from everywhere (overall from the terrace) and house quiet position at the intersection of many trails so we could start on foot without using the car. Sea and coast below the house are wonderful.

Wonderful stay

It is quite difficult to write anything that has not already been written. We can just confirm that place is wonderful, full of peace and nature, really hard to find something better. House is nice, well appointed and mantained. Its seaview is magnific, it fills the eyes and warms the heart. Communication with Andrew, the Owner, was kind and flawless. Finally we had a wonderful holiday and can just recommend it.

Since our last visit, many years ago, we have dreamed of a family vacation on Elba, and we finally got it. For us who live in Germany, the important thing was the sun, tranquility and a beautiful sea and seaview. Renting this property we found the above and more. A lovely and comfort house, intresting and natural surroundings, and really kind and helpful hosts. We can absolutely recommend this accommodation, without hesitation.

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances entourées de nature et de silence, avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. La maison est une ancienne ferme bien rénovée et entretenue, salle de bain toute neuve, cuisine neuve, parfaitement équipée, avec superbe vue mer depuis la fenêtre. A l'extérieur, devant, une grande et confortable terrasse avec auvent, table à manger, chaises et transats. A côté une douche extérieure très agréable, un barbecue avec vue sur la mer, et la magnifique terrasse surélevée d'où nous avons profité du coucher de soleil directement dans la mer devant nous. Les environs sont quelque chose d'incroyable : sans utiliser la voiture, vous pouvez quitter la maison pour des promenades et des randonnées dans les bois, ou descendre à la mer et trouver de belles criques solitaire où il y a très peu de monde. Pour notre famille, c'était un endroit idéal pour des vacances merveilleuses. Conseillé
