My family and I had an amazing vacation this year. This was the perfect house for us. We fished, swam, and were close to everything. Everything was so convenient.
Nice quiet neighborhood. My son loved fishing off the dock. We watched Manatees eating off the bushes across from the dock. And I enjoyed the pool. Kitchen was nice and easy to cook in. We can't wait to come back!!
We loved our stay in this beautiful Cape Coral home. We had a blast. The setting was perfect, quiet, and private. Thanks to Jill (property Manager) for all the correspondence.
Right on a canal if you rent a boat or want to fish. Also close to shopping. The pool and pool area were clean. The back yard was nice sized if you have a pet.
Lovely view of the canal. Pool was great. Everything was clean and exactly as advertised. Recommend replacing the blinds or at least some of the slats. Several slats missing in master bedroom and living room. Otherwise, no complaints. Would recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jill's property. It was exactly as advertised! If you are able, I would suggest bringing some knives. The ones on hand were a bit dull. Other than that, a truly great stay!
We had a fantastic time. Our owner was very easy to contact and answered all of our questions. We had the air go out one day and it was fixed the next morning. Everything was very comfortable. There was we think hurricane damage on the screen on the lanai, but was not a bother for us.
The house was exactly as I expected; very clean and well-stocked. Only criticism was that the pool cage was not screened (probably due to hurricane damage last year). This made it difficult to sit outside without getting bitten. but the kids didn't mind and swam almost every day.
We stayed for 2 weeks and found the home to be “as advertised”. Upon arrival we had issues with the pool and a leak from the water filter in the refrigerator. Called Jill and she was very prompt in responding and had both issues cleared up the next day. The rest of our stay was seemless. The house is spacious and the pool was heated to a warm 88 degrees daily so we used it quite often. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would recommend this rental.
Overall the house was pretty nice. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come back. A few issues prevented a 5 star rating. Specifically, there were more bugs than expected in a FL house, some in our beds the first couple nights and randomly throughout the house. the outside lights were did not work so if we wanted to use the pool at night, it was in the dark. There is still some damage from the hurricane, the screening around the pool is half gone and the window screens were beat up pretty bad so we couldn't open the windows. The garage also did not work.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay, it was comfortable and the property manager was responsive when we had an issue with a noisy smoke alarm. The house was not in perfect condition but I would recommend the property to anyone planning a vacation in the area.
We visited Cape Coral only 200 days after Hurricane Ian, and really had no idea of the extent of the total devastation amd destruction that had taken place. The area is is full reconstruction mode
It was amazing to see the huge rebuilding taking place. On arrival we discovered our pool frame & netting was pretty much gone however we were still able to use the pool once the pool heating had been fixed. The property management acted promptly once we reported the problem. As it took a week to fix ( again Ian) they provided us with a whole refund for the whole of our stay.
We stayed here for 21 days and used it as our base for travelling up and down the west coast.
The villa is in an ideal location for easy travelling around the area and is close to some main shops( Walmart,Publix and Aldi. It is absolutely just as the villa is described, and is like a treasure chest inside with everything and more that you would need in the home.
We appreciated the bottle of red wine which greeted us on our arrival.
We would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely vacation and once we got over the downfalls, enjoyed the property. The property is in a great location and conveniently located to all major stores.
The house was once a lovely home but definitely needs some TLC. The pool cage is beyond minor repairs. The two sides are completely missing, and most screens are gone. Although hurricane was almost a year ago, i noticed that all neighbors had their pool cages already repaired, so it's not lack resources to do the job. Lots of iguanas and they come very close to the pool area. Pool light is broken (VERY disappointing) and we were unable to do night swimming and it won't be fixed for a very long time I was informed. The verticals are broken and missing many panels which impedes on privacy. The curtains did not provide much privacy as they are sheer. Carpet had a big stain by the kitchen. The outdoor trashcan was awful. it had flies and maggots... absolutely disgusting. Things just felt old and unkept.
I dislike giving this sort of review, but I am being honest and felt dissatisfied with the conditions of the property.
The check-in was easy, House was clean upon arrival. Response by Jill was usually quick. As stated, the kitchen is well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. You can probably find pillows in the house that fit your comfort as we found pillows on master bed a bit hard. A couple things future renters should know. The pool is set at 87 degrees, and heater runs from approx. 9 am to 4 pm. The nights were cool in March, so the pool rarely was at 87 degrees. It did get to 86 after about 6 days at 85-90 degrees. We had some cool days in the pool, and then the pump had to be manually turned on for the last few days. Jill called pool people but they didn’t respond. Also, we were there twice when the pool people were there, and they never vacuumed the pool. Maybe that is because my husband cleaned it so good (the pool people jokingly wanted to hire him). Because of the hurricane, the screen was busted in many places, which we were aware of, so tree and grass cutting debris was there everyday. Also, TV wise, there is only basic cable, and then we didn’t get all those stations. Jill offered to call the owner but we didn’t ask her to. Again, the house was comfortable, neighborhood was quiet, street noise did not bother us, close to grocery, stores and restaurants.

Not Satisfied
The instructions on how to access the code to get into the lock box were terrible. It took me almost an hour to figure out how to get the code. Nowhere in the email did it say you had to click on the tiny telephone image by Jill's name to get the code. Also, Jill had said that there was minor damage to the pool enclosure screen due to the hurricane. Which was ok, because I knew about all the terrible damaged that happened. But the damage was not minor. The only thing left of the enclosure was part of the roof and one panel of the wall. Everything else was gone. Every morning the pool was dirty from leaves from the palm trees & just plain dirt. The birds would fly through during the day & the bugs were bad at night. It was not enjoyable to be outside at night because of the bugs. She said the pool was heated but it was always cold. The price. listing should have been discounted because of the major damage to the pool enclosure. I should not have had to pay full price because of the false discription of the property. I feel I should get a partial refund. Not satisfied.
Overall the house was decent, easy check in and had plenty of space. Things could have been cleaner (moldy coffee maker, candy wrappers under beds, etc) We stayed 5 months after Ian, the pool cage was broken as advertised. Upon arrival there was debris in the pool, we found the net to clean it out & the it had large holes. We contacted Jill to ask if there was a way WE could vacuum the pool, to which she said no we then asked for a new net since the one provided was torn, it took her 3 days to provide this after we had to ask again and she told us she had forgotten.
We are from out of state and had an enclosed trailer with us. It did not state in the listing we were unable to park the trailer in our driveway. She demanded after showing up the property unannounced on our 6th afternoon that we move it that day or we have to leave due to city ordinances. She was not helpful in recommending any locations for us to park it. After calling all the local paid parking, and finding out they are full due to storage issues after the hurricane we called the Cape Coral code enforcement officer. The officer told us that the manger/owner could simply call their office and request a FREE temporary trailer permit to get us through the end of our stay. Jill’s response was “I am not getting a permit…it’s not my problem”. At this point we called VRBO who was going to reach out to her & we never heard another word about it. The pool light was also not working which was not advertised or fixed.

communicate problems with the landlord/manager
Hello
we were a family of 3 looking forward to a week in cape coral. a place we have been several years before. when we arrived at the house, it turned out that the pool area had damage after the storm Ian (2022), this was not clearly stated in the advertisement for the holiday home.
when we contacted the landlord and told them that the pool had not been fixed for a long time. We got a bad feedback.
we arrived on a thursday and the pool bed had not been cleaned before
Monday. (poor cleaning) we were then only allowed to use the pools for 3 days. not popular with our teenager.
the light in the pool area was also defective so that use of the pool bed in the evening was out of the question.
what gave us the worst experience was the communication with the landlord.
don't think we will choose VRBO again after this vacation.
