About this property

Stunning coastal villa minutes to beach. Yacht Club area with 2 kayaks & bikes.

Refurbishment will take place in November 2024 to enhance and improve the property for the 2025 season.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful waterfront villa. A beautiful three bedroom and two bathroom villa with a pool on a large plot, situated directly on the waterway with sea access minutes away. The villa has a well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar area which leads on to the large family room with vaulted ceiling and patio doors opening onto the pool area and patio. The kitchen has a variety of equipment including a wine cooler, juicer, blender, toaster, kettle, coffee machine etc. The family room has flat screen TV and there is broadband. There is a second formal lounge which leads into the dining room with seating for 6 which opens out onto the patio through double sliding doors. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, flat screen TV, a walk in wardrobe and dressing room area with double vanity unit and separate shower and toilet off the dressing room area. The master bedroom has access to the patio and pool area through patio doors. In the guest wing of the house are two large guest rooms, one with twin beds and the other with a queen sized double. These bedrooms share a large bathroom with bath and shower with a door leading out to the pool area. There are hairdryers and straighteners provided in the bathrooms.The twin room also has double patio doors with access to the pool. Both guest bedrooms have large built in wardrobes. The utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The double garage has electric clicker access. There is a kidney shaped SOLAR heated pool and a large patio area with dining table and chairs, sun loungers and a gas BBQ. The pool is cleaned and maintained once a week as is the garden area. You can fish off the end of your boat dock using the fishing equipment provided in the garage. Bath and pool towels are all provided. There are also two Kayaks provided for your use to explore the waterways and local area. Please note there is NO LONGER A POOL CAGE IN PLACE, although some of the photos may still show one.

If you wish to arrange a rental boat during your stay this can be moored at the end of your garden on the boat dock. The villa is a 5 minute walk from the Cape Coral Yacht Club area with a beautiful beach and waterside restaurant or you can get there using the bikes provided in the garage.

When you arrive at the villa a luxury welcome pack will be provided, consisting of sparkling wine, a premium brand spirit of your choice from a list provided after booking, beers, milk, bread, butter, fruit, orange juice and basic cleaning products. A list of recommended local restaurants and attractions can be e-mailed to you on request prior to your stay. A comprehensive welcome book is also available for your reference at the villa.

Great location

The location was great to get around everywhere. The pool was wonderful. The home was very spacious and clean. It has everything you need. The only things I would suggest it that it could use some updating and better cable as you don’t get many channels.

This was a very lovely and roomy house and a beautiful property. The host and property manager are very responsive. The pool is labeled as heated and is solar heated but it is NOT adequately heated enough for New Year’s time. There was an issue with the igniter on the propane grill and it needed a battery which we had to go out and purchase bc there were none available at the house. After purchasing a new battery, the grill worked great and we used it often. At first, the garbage disposal didn’t work and I was plunging the drain. Thank goodness my boyfriend used to be a plumber and he said that it just had to be reset. After doing so, it worked great! There were 4 bikes in the garage where all of the tires were flat. The provided bike pump was broken, so we asked the next door neighbor for a pump which he graciously provided. After pumping the tires, we had fun with the bikes! We had some issues but were able to figure out resolutions!

Stunning coastal villa

Stayed March 2025 - Loved the location, close to everything. The pool lost its cage due to hurricane but we actually liked it better and had no bug problems whatsoever. Views from pool area great with palm tree lined horizon. This is not a newly built home so some normal wear is to be expected.Liked it so well we have reserved it for next year. Great communication from host and his representative.Thank you Ronald

Nice, not stunning!

Nice quiet neighborhood. Property manager was kind and helpful. Two issues while we were there. Cable, had to fight for it, air conditioning, had to replace filters ourselves.

Not stunning house.

House is very dated. No work has been done sense it was built in the 60's. Pool was unusable, pool company said they come on every Monday but we never saw them and pool bottom was very dirty. Water to the house was shut off at the street when we arrived because of a leak in the ground and had to flush the toilet from the pool water with a bucket on the first night. (gross) Water was turned back on after it was fixed. I would not recommand this house. We stayed for a month

Nice location, but in need of some updating, general maintenance and deep cleaning

There were some things not working when we arrived (pool heater, bike flat tire, light bulbs, no gas in the tank for the grill), but the property manager was very nice and helpful in resolving those. The house is in need of some updating, general maintenance and deep cleaning. The kitchen cabinet laminate coating is peeling off, the carpet throughout is old and stained in areas of heavy foot traffic, the patio needs pressure washed and some screen repairs, the entryway door needs to be painted, and the front porch needs cleaning. The furniture is also outdated. Make sure you buy damage insurance or take pictures of things that are broken as you may get charged for things that are pre-existing. We got charged a damage fee for a broken lock, small tear in one of the comforters, and a missing blind panel in one of the bedrooms. The location is good, but the quality of the home was not up to the standard for the price being charged.

Disillusioned in the Cape

Extremely excited about spending 2 months in Florida. Then i got to the VRBO rental. The good points are we were allowed into the VRBO a day early. The house watcher was wonderful to work with. There was lots of towels to use. Bad points are we thought there was a screen around the pool because there was in the pictures. Nope, and lots of bugs. The 4 bikes had air in the tires. 3 hours later, only 1 had air. The metal deck furniture is all rusted out on the legs and doesn't work very well. It said the pool was heated, but solar heat is not heated. We were only able to use the pool 7 days out of the 60 that we were there because it was too cold. The boat lift hadn't been fixed since the hurricane, but we knew that. I tied my boat up to the seawall clamp and that broke from being too old. Inside the house the furniture is shot. The shutters in the front room are so nasty I wouldn't touch them. The gutters and downspouts are broken from the hurricane and flooded the pool deck up to the house twice. The whole house needs to be updated.

The truth is the best way to go.

This property had been damaged in hurricanes, there was no Lanai, consequently we were bitten by bugs, The guttering system was totally non functional, and so when it rained the patio was flooded. Patio furniture had mostly rusted legs so was wobbly to sit on. Despite being asked on the first of September about any damage, it was denied. Parts of the property were just unclean , front blinds for example. The picture used in this VRBO questionnaire is the one we were shown when booking. The bicycles were unusable , only two had inflated tyres, and set up for children. the others were rusted and ceased up. It is a shame because with some TLC it could be a lovely property to rent. As usual, some homeowners are only interested in profit. My guess is that this revue will not appear online. On a positive note, the info book was very helpful, the supply of towels was generous. Not enough sheets for beds, only one set per bed. I have pictures if required ! My advice to the owners, GET THE PLACE FIXED UP PROPERLY

Super séjour en famille

L'accueil et la propriété etaient au rdv. Le propriétaire restait diapo pour noa questions. La piscine est chauffée par le solaire alors nos début de vacance il faisait froid ce qui nous a donné une eau tres froide mais lorsque la température s'est rétablie.....l'eau est devenue accessible 😊. La plage de Cape Coral était fermée vu le passage de l'ouragan ian, nous avons du faire 1heure de voiture 😔 . En général, pour ce qui est de la maison, tout etait parfait!

Yacht Club

Good house, loved the soler heated pool. House needed some tlc, but overall the beds were comfy, the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. We were given a welcome package, with fruit, bread, butter, juice, milk, a bottle of Prosecco, and some rum. We would stay here again.

House was accurately described in previous ratings

Our family visited the Cape Coral area for the first time. There was plenty to like about the area including a morning walk or run to the Yacht Club pier. There is a lot of traffic and some blind curves so it would have been more challenging with young children but the sidewalks and bike path were safe. There are many restaurants to enjoy especially if you don’t mind driving 20-25 minutes to go to Ft. Myers, but Cape Coral offers several options as well. We also enjoyed playing a few of the area golf courses. Our family also spent one day at the beach and had a few options within 30-60 minutes (Ft. Myers, Sanibel and Captiva were all recommended). The kayaks and bikes in the garage were great to have available, and our family found opportunities to use them during our stay. We did see one dolphin in the canal on our first day. There werea few things that give the house a 4-star review rather than a 5-star rating. However, these items were listed in previous reviews, so we weren’t terribly surprised but just hoped it wouldn’t impact our stay. The beds were quite firm and made sleeping rather uncomfortable. We saw notes about the pool being cold. It does not have a heater, but it was mentioned that a solar cover is used. We did not see a cover and the pool was cold throughout our stay. With afternoon temps in the 80s we tried jumping in a few times but didn’t stay in long. The other note we read about previously was in regard to the temperature in the back bedrooms. We hoped visiting in the winter months might make it a non-issue, but keeping temps at 75 made it muggy around the house. We ran fans throughout our stay which helped, but having a cooler set point would have been ideal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt like the house was as advertised. The owners were always very responsive and Allen was helpful as he greeted us and gave us a quick rundown of the house and things we needed to know. We never needed to contact anyone during our stay. Everything we needed was in the house, and for those items we did need to purchase, there were stores nearby.

Beautiful property

Everything is exactly as described and this was a super easy rental and property manager. The pool was perfect, the house is amazing. Why 3 stars? All of the matresses are so stiff, they were like sleeping on box springs. There was no restful nights sleep and we were more tired at the end of our vacation than when we got there. Please consider spending a few dollars on some matresses.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our week stay at the villa. The boys enjoyed fishing in the canal. We did see dolphins in the canal early one morning. We all enjoyed kayaking in the canal. We did not take the bikes out during our stay, but the area looked to be a great, safe place for biking. The house was very clean and offered everything that we needed for our stay. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. The property manager Allen was very friendly and helpful. The booklet put together of places to go in the area for dinner with menus was also very helpful. The only downfalls of our stay was that the back two bedrooms got pretty hot due to the AC unit having to stay on 75. The mattress’s in all the bedrooms were more firm than we would have liked. Overall a nice, clean home in a great location and we would stay here again.

Great location

The house was in a great location . The owners had a nice welcome basket and the house was very nice . The house could use a few updates and the pool needs resurfaced. But the location was so nice and the bicycle were a great addition and nice to ride to the beach .

Great Stay but .....

I stayed here 3 wks - mostly alone except for spring break week when family visited. I loved the location, the fishing poles and the kayaks. Grandkids loved the activities. The property manager was responsive. The check-in was very easy. Everything worked although the microwave was a challenge as some of the buttons do not work. And we had to buy a propane bottle for grilling. I do have to agree that the home is ready for an upgrade and deep clean ( especially rugs) and some new pots and pans. And more available cleaning products for long term renters. I bought my own and tried to stay on top of keeping clean. This was my first stay in CC and I loved it and the neighborhood. I understand there may be some work that occurs later in season and I would consider renting here again.

Would recommend

Would recommend, is as it is described, recognize what you are paying for, it's not a new house. But it is very spacious and furniture in good condition and appliances all work. Plenty of plates, dishes, pots/pans (cupboard space lacks a little, mainly b/c I think others left some non-perishable items... good when you needed a spice, but did take up some room). However, the countertop was Large and we just used that no problem. As with COVID, we ate in almost every meal and enjoyed the table on the patio almost every day and the super convenient window from patio to kitchen sink! You can tell the owner's take pride in their home. Master bed is firm mattress, not sure about queen and twins, but no complaints from us. The owners are Extremely responsive, especially give they are overseas. We loved having pool in the backyard and our boat at the dock. We enjoyed going out almost everyday in the boat. Our kid had remote school, so we found the internet to work well for that. With COVID, there were some great little touches, all the sinks provided Hand Soap and each bathroom had tissues. There were starter Toilet paper, paper towels and bar soap in shower. The starter welcome packet was fantastic welcome, not to have to rush out to a grocery store the first second you arrived. But the grocery store was an easy bike ride (or car) to Winn Dixie and Ace hardware there too. The bikes were also great, we used them several times. (can't speak for kayaks, there were 2, but we didn't use). You could also ride the bikes to the beach. Overall, I would recommend this home and stay there again, and loved the responsiveness of the Major's. Both before and during the trip, they answers all of our questions.

Great location, few shortcomings

Great location, property was clean, pool was clean, water view was beautiful. Care package was a nice touch. Issue with A/C being able to cool 2 bedrooms, one bedroom ceiling fan was broke prior to arrival. Daughter slept on couch in living room because room was too hot. Cable did not work, mentioned this to maintenance guy, basically said it would take too long for the cable company to come out. Couple other minor issues that we shared with the owners since we know that they hire other people to do services. I felt they should know the short comings of their hired help.

Perfect location

Had a fun week in Cape Coral. The house is close to all the things we wanted to do and was a great place to come back and relax after a day at the beach or sight seeing. The bikes were great to take to the beach or a restaurant and our kids enjoyed taking the kayaks out into the canal. Would stay here again!
